We managed but had some difficulties. The servers were very friendly and the food was good. It's a cute place that is cash only - signs are everywhere. The server brought my husband a sample of the homemade clam chowder. He's not a fan of the Manhattan version but ordered it here. It was wonderful! Stopped here for breakfast after running errands. Cute little spot that gives you a nostalgic feeling. Place is cash only, they do have an ATM when you walk in. As soon as you walk in one of the waitress will greet you and direct you where to sit. Food was good. Good size portion, small menu. You can upgrade from hash browns to avocado. read more

Disgusted. My fiancee and I live five minutes from this restaurant, and come here regularly. I also bring my toddler here for mommy & baby breakfast dates. Today, my fiancee and I were in the middle of our breakfast after being there for no more than 25 minutes. There was still food on my plate and my coffee cup was full. A waitress came over in an abrasive and rude tone "You know, we have a line outside. School is off today." I was absolutely appalled, and we left without finishing my food or coffee. When we walked out, no one was waiting for a table and no one was outside. I have no idea what this woman's problem is or why any business would think that it's appropriate to admonish customers to eat faster, but I will never ever be coming back here and I will make sure to share this experience with everyone in the area. read more

A little weekend breakfast was made great by this tiny place. Food: the food was your standard breakfast fare, but my wife got a beautiful avocado toast plate as pictures. I got eggs, bacon, and tons of toast so no need for pictures. Service: there was a runner, a waiter, and waitress who took turns going table to table to help out. Wonderful place, the food is always very good, with an incredible menu. The staff and the owner are so warm and inviting, they make you feel like you are one of their regular customers. We've had the quiche, so many kinds, the corned beef hash, the waffles have to be the best in the state. You should also try the yogurt parfait, yogurt, granola and an assortment of fresh fruit. This little gem is the best breakfast in the area by far. A drive down Main Street between the hours of 7am-9am will confirm that, jammed with parked cars seeking some hot coffee and warm eggs. The owner will greet you with a smile from behind the counter, her daughter will quickly take your order while offering up friendly hometown small talk. The meal will come out surprisingly quick, just as ordered. Very reasonable pricing and small town atmosphere and guaranteed someone you know will come through the door during your stay. This place is a diamond in the ruff. It is located in a house, small but welcoming. The staff were so friendly and personable. I did not have any children with me but witnessed the waitress engaging with every child to get them exactly what they wanted. The food was delicious. Such a sucker for a local luncheonette. Might be because my paternal grandparents owned on in Cedar Grove way before I was born, who knows? What I do know is that Bryan's is the genuine article from the friendly service to the simple, great food. Ended up there totally by accident because or local favorite, Bill's in Chester was jammed. Food was OK. Service was not good. Went recently to Bryan's. Ordered French Toast and bacon. Wife had an omellette. I received my order 15 mins after my wife's order. The folks that came in 20 minutes after we got there were served before we were. Very frustrated with the service. They kept on apologizing for the delays. One would think they'd discount the meal or provide some kind of a comp for the delay.. that didn't happen. When I finally received my meal, the French Toast was fine and the abundance of bacon they provided was very overcooked. Needless to say will not be visiting again. read more

This is such a cute little luncheonette! The specials are written on a big roll of paper! it's cash only. The waitress came over, and we asked for coffee... She barked at us "NO!" I imagine she thought that was playful and fun, but it was really offputting! The omelette was presented in a big ball rather than across the plate. Not very tasty either. The quiche was not as good as I remember it being in the past. Tasteless. The coffee was good. All in all, we found our experience to be just meh! The waitress was just loud and abrasive! Bryans pitches a tent in the parking lot and turned it into a real nice outdoor dining experience. We ordered a pretty standard breakfast with eggs potatoes toast and pancakes. All the items were really good and I was happy that the pancakes were a notch above. Service was also great, so we were pretty happy with the whole experience.
