I don't like to leave negative reviews unless they're rude. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. So I'll just leave "constructive feedback." We both ordered cappuccinos; husband's was a fall, cinnamon-flavored capp. Mine was a plain capp. We both requested SMALLs and both requested cappuccinos, not lattes, as we don't like all the milk. We both received LARGE. Normally that would be nice, but he filled the empty cup space with LOTS of milk. Mine tasted like (barely) coffee-flavored milk. My husband's tasted like cinnamon-flavored milk. Couldn't even taste the coffee. Not sure if he's not using espresso or his coffee is just really weak. On a positive note, the shop is nice with outdoor cafe tables. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the coffee, as we couldn't really taste any. read more

I've been waiting for a good time to try The Good Bean and finally had a chance this morning. This is a neat little coffee shop right in the heart of Dover. I really love the whole revitalization of Dover and this new coffee shop fits in perfectly. I went with my go-to, a hot chai tea latte. My wife had a cold white chocolate, raspberry iced coffee. I tasted hers and it was delicious! I just have 2 issues/suggestions. First, the chai tea was only lukewarm. I had to stick it in the microwave when I got home. Second, they could expand the selection of pastries, it was pretty limited. If you're in Dover and need some caffeine, give The Good Bean a try! read more

Stopped in for an iced latte to-go before my massage a few blocks away at My Therapist Luciano. The iced Cinnamon French Toast latte was delicious! The description says it's a latte with cinnamon and marshmallow. I'm pretty sure the marshmallow is only added to the hot version which I didn't get so I'm not sure if that enhances the flavor much, but I really enjoyed what I ordered! I recently moved back into the area and one thing about me. I'm a huge cafe girl. I found this place on Yelp and wanted to check it out for a while, I finally had the chance! I came into a cute, quaint shop, greeted by the barista. I enjoyed the set up and the cozy feel, I wish there was a bit more coziness to it with the space it is given. After inquiring of the different types of coffee, the barista suggested her favorite the "Breakfast In Bed." It consists of maple spice and hickory spice. While I was hesitant of the hickory spice in the coffee, I was intrigued. I also ordered their banana bread which was locally sourced. The banana bread was good, a bit dry but flavors were all there. But I want to focus on their coffee! Drinking it blew my mind, it had a freshness of the espresso, but the spice of the hickory and maple spice complimented each other so beautifully, with the aroma of the hickory coming through as you drink it. It has been deemed as one of my favorites. Overall, experience was great, coffee, delicious! I would have loved to seen some more touches to their aesthetics and to their baked goods. If their coffee is this delicious, I can only imagine if they put that towards baked goods, how delicious it could be. read more

Groups are fine I think, the tables are round so if you're trying to fit them together you might have some grief. Great little pick me up on a hot day! You have got to try their cyclones. I got a mocha cyclone and it was a great balance of mocha and coffee. Coffee isn't bitter at all. Definitely coming here again. Why did it take me so long to stop in?!?!! I stopped in the past Monday with my mom who got a caramel cyclone... she was so happy and with being such a picky eater I was surprised. If you are ever in New Jersey near Dover it is worth the stop. This is a small coffee shop but the flavors are delicious.
