I won't be coming back to this location due to the rising cost and decline in service. I'm really not sure why things are so challenging for this location, but today was the last bad experience after giving them another chance. I placed a mobile order at 10:57 with an estimated ready time of 11:10. I got there a few minutes before my drink should have been ready and waited by the counter. By 11:15 I stopped an employee to ask about the status of my drink order, just a venti iced mocha, nothing complicated and not a large order. I didn't see anything that looked like my drink being made behind the counter. They checked and said the "ticket was pulled" so it should be ready soon. By 11:20 my drink still hadn't been made. While I was waiting I noticed someone had left a cold, half made drink on the counter behind the bar, but no one had returned to complete it in over 10 minutes. It didn't look like mine because it was too light to be an iced mocha. The employee saw me still waiting by 11:25 and assured me she had seen the tag on the counter and they were making it. Well, a few minutes later someone put "my" order on the mobile shelf and thankfully I caught the employees attention. After waiting over 20 minutes they decided the abandoned drink left on the counter was mine, delayed for no obvious reason, and made incorrectly. I told the employee who set it down that I didn't think it was what I ordered because it had no mocha syrup in it. For whatever reason, no matter whether I place my order in person or through the app for an iced mocha, this location makes a white mocha 2 out of 3 times. They remade the drink correctly for me in less than 2 minutes with no acknowledgment that I waited over 25 minutes for a simple mobile order. I can't give this location another chance, they haven't improved and keep making mistakes, don't seem to be prioritizing service, and make simple orders incorrectly. I finally got into my car at 11:30. What a waste of time and money. read more

Wisely, the area by the handoff plane has only one table, pushed far away from the counter. A long bench is located on the south side of the store, dotted with five round tables that each feature a wooden chair on the outside. Pretty standard Starbucks with pleasant service. All in all, everything was prepared well from their standard menu. The store was very clean and had plenty of area to sit and wait for your order. Online orders were rolling out of the door, so it seemed as if they were staying on top of those orders at the patrons' convenience. Ive always had good experiences at this location - staff is always friendly and helpful. This is one of the Starbucks I actually like to sit at and do work since it has a nice area to do so. I will say both mobile and ordering there it can be a bit of a wait, so I never go in a rush. I expect the wait since they are located in quite a busy spot! If you don't want to wait so long, maybe try the one in target right by? I think they just need more staff to be on top of how many orders they get. read more

This Starbucks is very conveniently located to me and my favorite stores. I go to the Rockaway location about once a week, and the employees here are super fast and efficient. They have never gotten my order wrong, and I am always greeted with a smile. Normally I don't even talk to anyone. I just complete my order within the Starbucks app and pick up my drink within 4 minutes of ordering. It's that easy!! Only downfall: no drive thru (but maybe that's a good thing)! Tip: If you're one of those people that collect a Starbucks mug wherever you visit, then this is the location to go to! Whenever I'm there, they have a few New Jersey mugs available for the tourists! read more

3 months after my initial review and whoever is in charge of this Starbucks location still has yet to do anything about the money donation hagglers set up right outside on the sidewalk. Just be prepared for repeated requests for money as you are walking in and then walking out with your Starbucks cup in hand. I come to this starbucks a lot. I know many people who come to this starbucks a lot. This is really the only starbucks I go to. Lately though, the quality of drinks and service have really gone down. It could possibly be all the new faces that are working there now, (and I'm the first person to forgive newbie mistakes because we've all been there), but between the horrible order mistakes to just bad tasting drinks (guy added water to my drink to fill up the cup! WORST SERVICE EVER Ordered a coffee Traveler at Starbucks in advance on my phone app so it would be ready when I got there. I was on my way to work. Arrived 20 mins later to find that it was still not ready. So I wait 10 mins for the girl to finish chatting up other customer's and filling caramel bottles. She finally give me the traveler (after she filled a pitcher with coffee then poured it into the traveler I am sure that it will not be as hot as it should have been) and she gives me the bag with the cups and lids etc) I didn't bother to look inside since I was not late for work and I should have. So what was missing? all the artificial sweeter and no sugar in the raw just a handful of white sugar. Epic Fail guys. When I pay 16.00 for coffee I expect it to be HOT and have all the items to make it the way people want. Guess I will be avoiding this store at all costs. They are disorganized and under staffed. I work in the area and this place is very convenient me to go to grab my late morning coffee. Regardless of how bad the coffee is, the employee turnover in here is wild. Every week there is a new set of employees, yes they are training, and I understand they make mistakes, but this location is busy all the time. It shouldn't take 15 minutes to get a tall coffee. Efficiency is tough to accomplish here with such a high amount of pedestrian traffic. read more
