ABSOLUTELY impressed with this place. I came in here for a latte and a cup of tea but they have so much more! Awesome baristas - super friendly and helpful. So many fresh and/or homemade goods from macarons to cookies that I'd love to try someday. Unfortunately they are literally +1000s miles away from where I live... But how lucky are the people who get to frequent this place and how cool that I got to visit. Over the years I've gone to GB less and less. The guy down the street is just better and has stayed current. GBs is stale, and definitely not living up to its potential. Today we stopped by for a couple of lattes and hoped for some time to chill. We walk in and the dominating sound is that of the fridges. No music. No people's banter. It took 15 minutes for two basic lattes to be made. Granted there was one person behind the counter at first, but that's an insane amount of time to wait for a drink. Then the cost was shocking - 18.50 for two medium lattes and four small pieces of shortbread. The seating that used to be there was gone. There is one L-shaped high top but nothing else. But there's a ton of GBs merch of all varieties around. There's no posted menu. You have to interrupt the workers to get the WiFi password (hint: post it). Always make sure there's music playing. Please bring back comfortable seating. It definitely feels like a place selling stuff that happens to have coffee. Clean up the space behind the counter - what you see is messy storage and cheap posters from your suppliers. Post a menu. Train your staff to take less than 15 minutes to make two identical lattes. So I went looking for a brick and mortar store I can visit. That's when I found Greene's in Sparta, NJ. stepping in you see this nice space filled with everything coffee. You can order coffee, Latte's, Cappuccino's to sip on while you pick out what coffee you'd like to take home. Pick which grind works best for your coffee method (Espresso, Stove Top, Drip, etc.) Choose from Flavored coffees, Decaf, and any coffee intensity you prefer. I have frequented this location and their Hackettstown one for a number of years. They have anything coffee or tea related at fair prices and even have some of the things you wouldn't find elsewhere like green beans that you can roast yourself. They restored a coffee roaster that is over 100 years old and I think made of brass. They actually use it a couple times a week. I would love to see that in action. They have a fantastic selection of coffees and teas, as well as a couple of cold brews and all sorts of accessories. I don't come here as much as I should. Recommended to All. read more

My friend and I enjoyed our coffees today. She said that was the best London Fog that she has ever had! I enjoyed my double shot cappuccino with pumpkin flavoring and there are many tempting flavorings to choose from. We enjoyed the atmosphere of this local coffee spot as we sat among their coffee making products as well as tea pots and cups available for purchase. Although it is a bit of a drive for me, but whenever I'm headed west, I try to drive there for refill on beans. They have a large assortment of beans that they get fresh from their main store in Hackettstown. If you are unsure of the taste, they can give you a try. They also sell different brewing equipment from grinders to frothers to drip and espresso machines of various types. There are some tables to enjoy a cup of Joe and knick knacks to peruse. We always grind a mixture of coffee beans every morning and make individual cups of drip coffee using single cup Melita filters. Greene's has a wide variety of house roasted beans that are wonderful. We are not big coffee drinkers and usually don't stop here. The local bagel place closed and we were in a hurry and decided to try this place. There were two employees, one was pre-occupied with the phone. My husband ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. It took 10 minutes to prepare his order. His coffee was fine. One of my favorite spots to grab good coffee. Always a nice number of flavors to choose from as well as specialty drinks. Everything reasonably priced for the most part. Nice atmosphere with small section to set as well as the stage in the corner for live performances. Enjoy looking around at all the items for sale including handmade pottery and other coffee/tea products. Staff is usually pretty friendly and knowledgeable about products. Love the windy brow donuts. The atmosphere is pleasant and low-key. Their coffees are enjoyable--loved the "Boo" latte for October, for example! White chocolate and hazelnut--yum! I have visited a number of gourmet coffee shops in various states, and find Greene's to be the most flavorful coffee I have encountered so far. They also have an assortment of baked goods and even some lunch sandwiches if you get really hungry. There are also lots of teas if you want a change. I have bought a number of nice mugs and foodstuffs as gifts. The staff is always pleasant and it is fun to shop. Bring a laptop or book. Sparta doesn't seem to have a Starbucks but it definitely does NOT need one! Greene's has excellent coffee, and it's self-serve so you always get it the way you like it. Never seems to be too crowded but I might just keep getting lucky. The music is low-key and the couches are perfect for sitting in and daydreaming on a rainy day. Extremely clean, cute decor, nice gifts, wonderful treats, and hot, fresh coffee. I love this place! Definitely a hidden gem. Wonderful employees, so-so coffee. I found the "triple certified" Guatemalan beans to be overroasted and, quite honestly, not-so-great. The Brazil Cerrado, however, pretty good. At $16/lb, though? It's overpriced. Really, really overpriced. Lots of cool coffee equipment (including Chemex!), but no Hario accessories makes me sad. Small town roasters can quite often = bleh coffee. Their Brazilian, though, is something I'd go back for if I was thinking of spending $$$. As usual, I make no excuses for my discernible palate and/or totally dickish attitude towards coffee. And they're not just plain Jane decaf, it's always a flavor I'm willing to try!
