We came here because it said 23 bagel options and we are excited to see everything. However seems more like 8-10 and it's not even listed on their menu, you have to go on the far side of the shop to see the options. All in all, the food was pretty good, just weird how some of the process is. My bagel was toasted, which I wanted however, my wife's wasn't - neither of us asked, but I would think they would do the same for both. They a lot of cream cheese options and some pastries. This place went downhill like a rocket. If I know anything, I know my bagels. Coming from Brooklyn and over age 50 I have gone to every bagel store that I can find and I have found some excellent ones nearby in Randolph. I used Time Out for brunch post three of my kids Bar/Bat Mitzvahs many years ago and they did a good job. I think there is new ownership although that is irrelevant. I went there the other day and was VERY disappointed with the size of the bagels, which at first I thought were mini-bagels, and the sundried tomato cream cheese was good, however, it was the thinnest spread imaginable and for those prices it was insulting. The store is located on Speedwell Avenue right in the heart of Morris Plains. I ordered a Russian Pumpernickel with butter and my wife had a plain with cream cheese. The bagels were a bit different in that they were smaller and more dense than usual, but they were fine. There's a huge cream cheese selection here. There are tables inside and outside. Time For A Bagel is like a club on weekend mornings. They had a bouncer at the front directing traffic, and I'm not kidding about this. The bagel bouncer was super appreciated though! This is a great way to control line flow and Covid social distancing. They have an effective system and the line moved relatively fast. You can also call to pre-order (but good luck getting through when it's busy). And if you are just getting bagels (no cream cheese, eggs, etc) you can go right up to the front and place your order. The bagels are great. Super fluffy and flavorful enough that they could be enjoyed standalone with no cream cheese. Unfortunately the cream cheese was a little lackluster. It's very light and whipped, and when ordered on a hot toasted bagel it basically became liquid cream cheese. Hubs and I ate these in the car and it was a literal hot mess. Moving forward, I will not order my bagel and cc toasted. There is a huge selection of bagel and cream cheese flavors, and then of course you can order hot sandwiches, deli sandwiches, salads, etc. Staff is friendly and efficient. They also sell merch if you want a TFAB shirt which I thought was cute. Pro-tip -- credit card payments under $10 are charged a fee, so be sure to bring cash if you are placing a smaller order. These bagels are good! My friends raved about this place so I had to try when we were in the area. They are not too dense on the inside and have a nice crispness to them. I'm not sure how else to explain. My husband said there was a line. He was chatting with someone and told them it was his first visit. They suggested also getting the Cinnabon and crumb cake.
