Onion bagel with special cream cheese
    Dan S.

overall, it's a cool and classic bagel shop. Some of the staff is really friendly and inviting other members are either rude and standoffish which is frustrating. We came here because it said 23 bagel options and we are excited to see everything. However seems more like 8-10 and it's not even listed on their menu, you have to go on the far side of the shop to see the options. All in all, the food was pretty good, just weird how some of the process is. My bagel was toasted, which I wanted however, my wife's wasn't - neither of us asked, but I would think they would do the same for both. They a lot of cream cheese options and some pastries. Parking right in front made it easy too.

The everything bagel with cream cheese was pretty good. The bagel is chewy and not overly salty.

Eh... it's ok. Nothing amazing. Medium sized bagel. Good for take out. Not great for eating in. So many better shops in my humble opinion.

I've had Time For A Bagel bookmarked for quite a while. Yesterday, my wife and I were in the area and had a chance to pick up bagels there for lunch. The store is located on Speedwell Avenue right in the heart of Morris Plains. I ordered a Russian Pumpernickel with butter and my wife had a plain with cream cheese. The bagels were a bit different in that they were smaller and more dense than usual, but they were fine. There's a huge cream cheese selection here. There are tables inside and outside. Plenty of parking in the area. Good spot to pick up bagels if you're in the area.

Everything is always delicious. But Steve's Cole slaw and Health salad stand out as fresh, delicious compliments to his perfect bagels. And the whitefish salad is still the best ever, even bette than Russ and Daughters!

These bagels are good! My friends raved about this place so I had to try when we were in the area. They are not too dense on the inside and have a nice crispness to them. I'm not sure how else to explain. My husband said there was a line. He was chatting with someone and told them it was his first visit. They suggested also getting the Cinnabon and crumb cake. Both were great. Needless to say, I'm glad they're a bit further from our house so we can't visit too frequently. lol

We went to NJ for a real NJ bagel and everyone told us to come here. This place seems authentic to me, it was packed, and the bagels were great. Morris plains was a cute town too. I not only would come back - I will come back tomorrow morning for a bagel and a coffee.

Dozen Bagels (Plain, Egg, Everything, Garlic, Blueberry)

Ordered: Dozen Bagels (Plain, Egg, Everything, Garlic, Blueberry) ($15) A dozen comes with 13 bagels. Although the bagels here were smaller than most bagels, they were still pretty good in terms of flavor and texture. Decently fluffy and slightly chewy. Although the garlic bagels had plenty of garlic, the everything bagels were pretty bare and didn't really have much seasoning on them. Good bagels, but I've had better. Would recommend if you're in the area!

I would think so but I'm not 100% sure. You could probably call and ask them.

Since then, we've worked with Michael on planning our wedding and he was so great to work with. He was easy to communicate with, super energetic and full of positive energy throughout the planning, and very informative. We wanted our dogs in the ceremony a lower guest minimum for fear that less people at the time would attend due to covid and Michael quickly accommodated our requests, no questions asked! Our wedding was 10/14/23 and Farrell was our maitre'd. After getting home, my matron of honor, brother in law and mom had nothing but AMAZING things to say about Farrell. According to my mom, Farrell saw my grandpa had trouble with his boutonniere and she, without us asking, started helping him and all the other groomsmen clip them on. She worked with my husband on getting a little last-minute seating mishap resolved (we had some unplanned guests who had initially rsvp'd no and showed up). She was so good with children as our flower girl and flower boy/ring bearer were 4 and 7 and she interacted with them and helped show them what to do at the ceremony. Our day of coordinator unfortunately had an emergency and was not there part of the wedding but Farrell really took over and checked in on us constantly and took charge of the day. My matron of honor said Farrell was so nice and reliable and amazing at her job. Going back to the wedding, our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was, down to the chandeliers in the ballroom. Our wedding was unfortunately outdoors but Birchwood was so accommodating with allowing us to use the Grand Ballroom for the ceremony as the reception was already set up elsewhere. We upgraded the cocktail hour to deluxe and with both my husband and I being from Chinese families with high expectations in regards to seafood, the lobster tails were gone instantly as our guests loved them so much. People raved about how good the cocktail hour was, including the carving station and shrimp scampi station. The ice sculpture was a beautiful and elegant touch. All in all, we and our guests had nothing but an amazing time at Birchwood. We have nothing but positive experiences through our 2 years of wedding planning. Thank you Michael and Farrell and Birchwood Manor for helping us plan our wedding and make our wedding day visions really come to life!

I ordered the Purple Haze drink and it was as delicious as it was beautiful. The Chipotle Steak & Queso Hash was a bit salty for my taste but still good. I sat and read a book for an additional 20 minutes after I was finished. It wasn't very busy and there were plenty of open tables. I might not have stayed as long if it looked like people were waiting but again the server did not rush me or imply I was unwelcome. Also, she noticed I looked a little cold so she told me she asked the manager to turn down the AC. So sweet! Would definitely come here again.

They were of the potato variety. Since they were made to order, they came out piping hot. My thoughts on each are below. The temperature really made a difference as I tried a few bites after they cooled down and it was not the same. All of the donuts were appropriate in size and somehow appeared very light. I wonder if that was attributed to the potato variety. I just could not believe how much the hot temperature made a difference in all four. Original Cinnamon Sugar - This was very good with plenty of sugar present. Raspberry Jam - There was a ton of raspberry jam here and it was great. Nutella - There was an excessive amount of Nutella here and it worked out well with the hot donut texture. It was unreal. Cannoli - This was great too.
