Realy thought this location was gonna be a tough sell for me just because of how close it is to that chicken place where they also happen to serve some incredible salads too but despite all that I gotta say this excellent business chain never disappoints. And the fact is Chopt has quickly become one of my favorite Salad spots with all it's super fresh locally and responsibly sourced ingredients. Add to that the fact that their premium Salads are never boring and loaded with combinations that you get to customize to your own individual likes, c'mon what's not to like about this place right? My usual go-to meal is based on variations of their Mexican Caesar Salad but I've been wanting to try something different so I took a look at their menu board. I decided to go with one of their seasonal options, Chili Lime Caesar Salad: with Aji Verde, Chipotle Chicken, Croutons, Queso Fresco, Red Bell Peppers, Pickled Red Onion, Romain, Cabbage, and Cilantro Blend. Placed an online order so it would be an easier pickup, but unfortunately it wasn't the case. Got there and my boyfriend went in to get the food, he asked for the order and they said they were making it, but then realized that they had given our food to the wrong person; this led to us having to wait 10 extra minutes for them to get us our food. Now, my boyfriend had asked for heavy dressing on his wrap, yet the guy who made it put barely any dressing on it. I had asked for braised chicken instead of chicken tinga on my bowl, yet when I started eating it I realized they gave me chicken tinga, which i do not like. Both the bowl and wrap were mediocre in comparison to places who have a similar business model. I'm not a huge salad person, but my wife is. She had been to Chopt with the kids and wanted me to try it. This past week, we stopped in on a Thursday night. The location is in a shopping center with a huge parking lot. The first thing I noticed is that this place was very clean with lots of seating. You can order wraps, bowls, or salads, and customize with all the ingredients laid out in front. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Ranch Salad and my wife had the Blissful Harvest Bowl. I have to say, the salad was very good! It was also huge! It had a little spice to it and the chicken was tasty. My wife substituted kale with arugula and added cauliflower rice to her bowl. While I say I'm not a huge salad guy, this place was very good. I've been to other salad franchises and this one has been the best. Very friendly service too! read more

Came here with a few co-workers with the idea of getting a healthy lunch. The counter person scooped all of my voices into a large bowl and then, before I could even say now- dumped everything and started chopping it up into a big cole-slaw looking mess. I wish that I'd have known what was going to happen or I would have stayed out with "don't chop my salad." Ordered: Kale Caesar Wrap (~$10): with panko fried chicken (+$3), kale & romaine, aged parmesan, crispy shallots (instead of croutons), and creamy Caesar dressing Aya's take: What a redemption from Chopt! My first experience was seriously lacking but I swung by this time to try the Kale Caesar Wrap. I added panko fried chicken which was a great move, and again it wasn't crispy or well-breaded (so I'm assuming that's just how they make it?). The wrap was super filling and I loved the crispiness from the shallots. It was a nice substitution from the croutons which would've made this a bit too heavy for me. They also gave me creamy Caesar dressing on the side but since it was already coated well in every bite, I didn't even need it. Super satisfying and definitely recommend giving this a try! read more

This was my first time ever trying Chopt and upon walking in,I was the only person in there other than one other sitting down already eating. I stood at the counter for 2 minutes before even being acknowledged. Once i was finally acknowledged I was asked if I was picking up. I told them i was looking to order and she just pointed to the salad toppings area. I then walked down there and waited another 2-3 minutes for someone to come and help me. The man who helped me was absolutely rude. The salad, which I paid $19.96 for, was mediocre at best. I didn't even finish it because it was so bland. Safe to say I won't be back. read more

I wasn't super impressed with my experience at Chopt. Salads are pricey! A preset bowl is around $12 or $13 and doesn't include too many toppings. To add on additional toppings is 80 cents per topping, so prices can get pretty hefty if you add on a few things. And for the price my salad barely had any toppings or chicken. It was mostly just a bowl of lettuce. My husband and I also both ordered bread with our salad and didn't get any. Chick-fil-a (right next door) makes a great salad with so much chicken / toppings, so it'd be tough to consider getting from Chopt again in the future. read more

Here's the deal: Chopt is always consistent with fresh quality salads! This location is a great addition to the area. Base salad is $10-11. Used to go to florham park but this place is closer and I can park on the Side and pick up my Togo order from the big shelf. Nowadays they give you a massive salad which is a good bang for your buck. Salads were great , Service was great , Place was nice & clean. I had a very good experience here at chopt. The staff was awesome and made me feel super comfortable here. The only thing I didn't like about my visit here is that there's no way to give a tip to the workers that worked so hard and took care of me. I feel like in 2022 everyone should be able to be tipped. Extremely happy that an alternative to fast foods has suddenly appeared in Morris Plains. I loved my salads chopped small and the quality, freshness and variety made us order two nights in one week. The dressings are delightful and the chicken is delish as well. Try it once, you will not be sorry. This is a relatively new spot in the area. I came in because I was craving a salad. The workers were really nice and assisted me with all of my questions. I enjoy having access to fresh ingredients. I created my own salad because I didn't see a salad that accommodated my pescatarian needs. You get 4 free ingredients not including the lettuce and everything after is an additional charge. The first couple times I created my salad I added grilled shrimp, the shrimp unfortunately was not grilled it seemed more boiled. So the third time I went, I didn't get any shrimp. I am Highly Disappointed. After coming here for years, my Wife and I ordered two salads. We both waited over an hour. The service was terrible. One dude with glasses had his rainbow underwear showing, doing online orders. The kid helping us gave my Wife half the bowl and a bread the size of a quarter. I like the concept, but I personally am not a fan. I ordered a build your own salad, with romaine, beets, goat cheese, apples and chicken. For $15 after taxes, this salad was 99.9% lettuce, which was completely wilted. There were literally 3 TINY pieces of chicken, and 2 small chunks of goat cheese - I counted. I couldn't locate the beets or apples...you're better off ordering salads from a local pizzeria. I'll give more than 1 star because the dressing was delicious, but they only give you about a 2 tablespoons worth when you order it on the side. read more
