Went for lunch. Ordered the chicken katsu lunch special and hot korean style fried wings app. The katsu was plentiful but didn't taste as I expected it to. It tasted like it had maybe Italian seasoning in the breading. The wings were all right but not spicy as we'd expected from the description. A service note I found odd: Initially none of the lunch panchan came out with the katsu, as described on the menu, just rice. Our server left. Then I got his attention and inquired about the items in the lunch description -I was told that the broccoli and chayote were not available but did I want the kimchee? Well yes: I wanted the lunch I ordered as described on the menu. Or to know ahead of time that items would not be coming with the meal. The server then brought out kimchee and some pickled, very sweet carrot and what appeared to be daikon. I see the other reviews are quite positive. Part of why we went. I am sharing my experience bc I would want to know as the owner or someone considering going.

Ordered a ton of food off door dash and promptly delivered within an hour. Korean fried chicken was well fried, not too greasy. Jap chae with beef was a hit, cooked very well. Pork belly bun was tasty, fatty. Kimbap beef was yummy I have had Galbi jjim before and usually it's a stew like dish, but this was more saucy? Either way, it was good, it was slightly different than what I expected. Either way, really good food all around and definitely would order again.

Great service, nice ambiance and good food. Eli and his crew are very welcoming and explain what everything is. The food was good quality . The patio seating is very cute. Highly recommend. The wings were my absolute favorite- crispy with a sweet and savory flavor- yum!

From Morris Plains' own Woodam, Chef Eli is BACK! Run by Eli and David (who previously ran Woodam), Eli's Eatery is much more casual than it's counterpart. That being said, the food is much more authentic, while tastefully carrying elements of fusion flavor (it's a solid entry level for newcomers to Korean cuisine, and they do it very well). Note that this eatery is located in a strip mall off RT-10 and may be hard to miss, but it's absolutely worth it. My wife and I walked in early evening on a Tuesday and we're warmly greeted by David, who explained how they had just opened up and had a more casual menu. The restaurant also had a lot of great options for kids (12 American dishes, each under $10). We were pretty hungry and decided on 3 items - spicy pork kimbap kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), and kalbi Jjim (short rib stew). Total pretax was $43, so ~$20pp. Spicy Pork Kimbap - the roll was big (don't let the photo fool you). Loved how it wasn't loaded with rice, and you could tell the flavorful pork was just cooked. Wasn't super spicy, and the cross section showed that they assembled the roll very neatly - had pickled radish, carrot, and cucumber along with the pork. The other kimbaps are similarly priced ($8-$9) and they had a lot of interesting options aside from the normal ones Kimchi Jjigae - the broth was very comforting, and also not particularly spicy. You could tell they used a less fermented kimchi for the stew. The pork belly was nicely cut (not hot pot thinness, this belly had some good chew!), and the bits of rice cake added some nice texture. Came with a choice of white or brown rice, which paired well. Kalbi Jjim - my favorite of the night! The 4 chunks of short rib were HUGE and so tender (think 'falls apart in your mouth' level), having great beefy flavor and a light and not cloying sweetness. The bits of carrot and radish added to the fun of eating this thicker stew, and the broth doubled as a gravy for the rice. Service - servers and David checked on us frequently and we're quick to refill water, and after the meal David chatted with us a bit. Along with our check, we got a $10 voucher for a future visit, in celebration of their Grand Opening. Ambience - not too casual (definitely a sit down), but doesn't feel too formal. --------- I know $20+ per person may not be the cheapest dinner, but if you're looking for a change of pace, this is well worth it. We were stuffed after the meal and very satisfied. The area needs more Asian food options, and this is a really nice addition to the Korean restaurants in the area. We'll be back!

Let me be the first to welcome Eli and David to Parsippany. While the address may be Morris Plains, Eli's Eatery in 100% in Parsippany and a great new addition to what is already town packed worh many different cuisines to satisfy most cravings. Eli's is in the Galleria 10 Plaza o Route 10 East between Powder Mill Road and Route 53. As you are coming down the hill, you will see a strip mall to the right that is home to Eli's. "Korean Fusion " is a warm welcome to the Route 10 Corridor that could probably use a few more restuarnts to serve those living close by. Picking a meal was not easy task as there were many great selections to choose from. Despite the selection, choose the Chicken Bokkeumbap (wok fried rice with egg, bean sprouts, corn, scallions, soy and sesame) that was accompanied with kimchi, pickled chayote, and broccoli) Called in the order on opening day after seeing that they were finally open. The order was ready as promised and was lucky enough to meet Eli and David who are the run Eli's. The food was great and was happy the sides were separated and not mixed all together. No doubt there are other great menu items to choose from that I will explore on future visits. Definitely a great place for those looking for new and exciting cuisine to try out. One thing that makes this restuarnt stand out is a pretty extensive kids menu that is not Korean food. While there are some kids that may be adventurous, a lot of kids when going out for food can ruin a good meal. Rest assured, they have items such as Peanut butter and Jelly, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, spaghetti, as well as a bunch of other kid friendly options that will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters, while the parents can enjoy some Korean Fusion. Im.sire down the road I will explore other options, bur I was very happy with my meal and look forward to future visits. Thank you Eli and Davis for your hospitality and a great meal. Welcome to Parsippany! While I chose to take out, the do offer a dining area to eat in. Can definitely see myself bringing a favorite bottle of wine to accompany some Korean cuisine.

We love Korean food, always have to travel to Palisade Park for a good meal, now it's just 5 minutes away from home. Familiar face from Woodam BBQ, this is definitely a great option for casual dining. Korean Fusion with less spice and more sweet taste compare to authentic korean dishes. Will definitely be our regular lunch takeout and dinner BYOB outdoor dining with their black cat next door.

The wings were delicious! We were looking forward to the pork buns but they were sold out. We especially liked the broccoli with sesame oil.

My husband and I LOVE Korean food and used frequent Fort Lee before we moved from Montclair, so we were dying to find a decent Korean place by our new house. I think this will be our new go-to. The meal came with the usual banchan, like kimchi, chamoyte, and pickled radish. The bulgogi was excellent and was served on top of some stir fried vegetables. We also really enjoyed the K-Noodle. Although we ordered takeout, the noodles were still a little chewy, and not soggy at all. The korean fried chicken was similarly very good, but I don't think it traveled as well as we hoped. It could have been a bit crispier, but that's proabably our fault for ordering it as takeout. We stuck it in the toaster oven for a little bit and it was good as new. Overall we will definitely be returning and trying some new items!
