Don Chicken is located in a strip mall with a few tables outside. We all went inside and grabbed a large table. Reading the menu, I see a Ramen dish?? I mean, I haven't had Ramen in a while so I chose this dish. Well, the "Ramen" is just that. I was given a food take out dish with a bunch of Ramen Noodles and topped with a fried chicken cutlet. I've visited the original Don Chicken in Palisades Park multiple times and was excited when I saw one open up in Morris County. The place is small with a few tables inside, and I visited on a weekday when it wasn't very busy. I ordered my usual, the Soy Garlic chicken and Sweet and Spicy chicken. It was delicious and both dishes were full of flavor. It didn't come with radish, so I had to go up to the counter to ask for some. I did wish they gave me gloves like the other locations so that it wouldn't be as messy when I was eating the food. Overall, I thought the taste was pretty similar to the one in Palisades Park. It seems like their menu slightly differs from the original so I'd like to try some of their other items the next time I visit. read more

This chicken looked so good in the pictures I had to try it out, but I was very disappointed with how everything tasted. I've never had fries that were so over seasoned I could only eat like 5 before i had to give up on them. As for the sweet and spicy sandwich the chicken was extremely average and the sauce was very sweet and had no spicy taste. The service was quick I was shocked with how fast the food came out for a place that makes fried chicken because it was less than 10 minutes so idk if this was already cooked and then left out and put in sauce but it didn't taste hot and fresh once I got home. All I can say is if you haven't been here yet - go!!! Korean fried chicken. It's nothing like American fried chicken. It's like it's crispy. It's delicious. The portions are really big. The chicken pieces are big so take that into account when ordering it. We ordered too much but we ate it and then we brought some home for other family members. It's a small place kinda off the beaten path, they do delivery probably with DoorDash or something similar, but you can eat in. They do have tables and chairs. I was so excited to try this place but wasn't really worth all the excitement. I got the pine brook box with Korean bbq sauce and don sauce. Which was good on the chicken. Instead of fries i got it with rice. But when eating the rice it tasted minty. I honestly recommend putting them in to two different boxes. Also don't think the price for the portion makes sense. Had a craving for noodles / chicken and This place looked like the perfect spot. Ordered a craver bowl with spicy soy garlic chicken over ramen noodles. As someone who eats very spicy food on a regular basis, this bowl was completely inedible. my mouth was on absolute fire within the first bite. Have been wanting to try Don Chicken for a while now and happy I finally did. I'm a big Bonchon fan so forgive the comparison! Ordered the soy garlic boneless wings with white rice. Initially, they seemed very light on the sauce and dry on the outside, but there was a little pool of sauce under the wings that I dipped in to, so maybe that's how they typically come. The chicken was tasty and the sauce was very good but not as good as I've had at other chicken joints. Unfortunately, one of my boneless wings turned out to be a bone-in wing (in error) which resulted in a traumatic bite into unexpected bone. So wasn't thrilled about that. These wings are so good. Honestly I did not have a lot of expectations because some of my friends said Bonchon is better which I thought was only ok. It wasn't until we went to Korean years ago and tried Kyochon (a Korean fried chicken place which ironically was in the same building above Kentucky fried chicken and we didn't know if it would be good) that we realized how good Korean fried chicken could be. We ate 40 wings for breakfast and wanted more. We ordered and waited 30 mins at the restaurant while they made it but it was so totally worth it. It had been many years but this place really reminds me of the fried chicken from Korea. We enjoy both the spicy and non- spicy wings. It's definitely got a Korean infused menu and the boneless (personal favorite) is definitely crunchy and tasty with whichever flavor sauce you choose. Clean dining area and even had motocross on when we visited so thumbs up for that too. Also had the Nets game on another TV. Friday Lunch Crew (FLC) got together today to try a fairly recent addition to our area: Don Chicken, 48 Stiles Ln Suite 101, Pine Brook, NJ 07058. A small, cozy, comfortable, and sharp looking eatery, offering deliciously prepared Korean Fried Chicken. Don Chicken is sort of hidden on the side of a small shopping mall, a very, very short distance over the Vail Road bridge in Parsippany into Montville (Pine Brook). Our group pretty much tried and enjoyed everything on the menu today. Collectively we unanimously agreed that every serving hit the mark. Small menu, but perfect for this type of venue. The imported Korean sauces were excellent, and the double fried chicken (with and without bones was crunchy, crispy, and juicy throughout. Very tasty, somewhat unique, and satisfying! BYOB, so bring along your favorite beverage. Personally, I went with a Korean been, which really complimented the seasonings and spices. Eat in or take out, give them a try. We ordered the soy garlic drumsticks and the sweet and spicy chicken wings. We also ordered ginmari, a deep fried roll with noodles and vegetables. Service was fantastic and attentive; they even offered gloves in case we didn't want to get our hands dirty. Incredible food, simply put. We ordered here once though uber eats and it was so good we ordered AGAIN the day after. The fried chicken, spicy, sweet, or whatever you want, is sublime. Crunchy even after a 1 hr wait. The dragon craving box where they serve the chicken over rice is even better. Their boba is pretty good as well. Huge huge fan of their rice cakes and also their other small Korean side dishes. This was AMAZING fried chicken! I am comparing my experience to locations in Queens where I used to live. One of the owners was present and he was very kind and gave us a spicy sauce on our request since some at our table eat spicier than others. He mentioned they test/sample the chicken regularly to ensure it is always fresh and consistently delicious and I have to say every piece I ate seemed like it was treated with the utmost care!! One of my bestfriend introduced me to this place. Came to visit on a rainy day so they were not that busy. I spoke with Brian and Paul. Both great guys and they were also Car guys so we spoke and connected a lot about cars. They are very nice guys and are very inviting. We ordered a large boneless wings with Ppurring and Sweet and Spicy sauce. The Ppuring dry rub reminds me of a salted egg fish chips. If you like that flavor profile you will love this. The sweet and spicy sauce was definitely sweet but did lack some spiciness. If you want something hotter I would recommend a different sauce. The boneless wings were very juicy and came hot. The coating on there were extra crispy. I loved every bite! We also got a side of daikon which were very good as well. It had a great balance of sour and sweet. Compared to the other popular Korean Friend chicken restaurants, this is for sure my top favorite for boneless wings. I have yet to try their Bone-in Wings which I do plan to very soon.
