I've visited the original Don Chicken in Palisades Park multiple times and was excited when I saw one open up in Morris County. The place is small with a few tables inside, and I visited on a weekday when it wasn't very busy. I ordered my usual, the Soy Garlic chicken and Sweet and Spicy chicken. It was delicious and both dishes were full of flavor. It didn't come with radish, so I had to go up to the counter to ask for some. I did wish they gave me gloves like the other locations so that it wouldn't be as messy when I was eating the food. Overall, I thought the taste was pretty similar to the one in Palisades Park. It seems like their menu slightly differs from the original so I'd like to try some of their other items the next time I visit.

All I can say is if you haven't been here yet - go!!! Korean fried chicken. It's nothing like American fried chicken. It's like it's crispy. It's delicious. The portions are really big. The chicken pieces are big so take that into account when ordering it. We ordered too much but we ate it and then we brought some home for other family members. It's a small place kinda off the beaten path, they do delivery probably with DoorDash or something similar, but you can eat in. They do have tables and chairs. Very good I recommend giving it a try.

    Patty is 2cm thick

Do NOT get the sandwich , the sandwich was very hard to eat (yes hard, not tender. Like the other orders) and the breading fell off of it. Sauce was overwhelming the whole sandwich making it soggy.

If I knew the Chicken here was this awesome I would've come here a ALOT sooner!! Holy Smokes these are some freakin phenomenal wings people. With just the right amount of Crispness, Juicyness and Stickyness in every amazingly flavorful delicious bite. Plus you can fully customize your order how ever you like: just wings, just drums, or combination of both.    And you definitely have come to the right place for Sauces too. Find the one you like or try different ones, the Sauces here are on point.    Now let's talk Fried Dumplings just for a minute because they deserve some of the spotlight here too. The Beef Dumplings are my favorite but you can choose Pork or Chicken too, whatever your tastebud's desires or demands at the time, Lol. These too are perfectly textured having that nice Crispy Dough and Jam Packed with delicious Seasoned Beef YUMMMMMERS!! Plus Service here is Friendly Fast and Efficient. I really do wish I hit up Don Chicken alot sooner but I'm here now and that's really all that matters Come And Get Your Munch On!!

Well, it is a perfect example of a hidden gem. bringing Korean flavor to the area. it is a Korean fried chicken franchise tucked away on the side of a small strip mall- if you don't know, you will miss it. We ordered- * Gimmari- seaweed wrapped around glass noodles, dipped into a batter that crisps up deliciously when deep-fried * Soy Garlic & Kalbi (K-BBQ) Wings - half & Half * Fries (because my wife was craving for it) wings were crunchy, crispy, tender & juicy- pieces of freshly fried chicken. They offer eight choices of Korean Fried Chicken- Choose between wings, boneless, and drumsticks in different serving sizes or on a platter also, a lunch special during the weekdays - $14 Fact: Korean chicken is double-fried to lock in that extra crunchy & juicy flavor- it's their way of cooking The ambiance is simple and super clean. The receptionist was super friendly, letting us know what else to order. Parking: ample off-street parking lot also, they offer BYOB

First timer here and was awesome. Walked in to a clean cozy restaurant plenty of seating. Ordered me some boneless wings with white snow (sweet Parmesan cheese from what I'm told) hot and fresh. Fries were cooked just right. Ordered a refresher bubble tea (green tea strawberry flavoring and strawberry ) ordered some boned wings as well. All cooked to perfection. Service was fast. Very clean as well. DEFINITELY coming back..... almost forgot the beef dumplings... awesome !!!!

These wings are so good. Honestly I did not have a lot of expectations because some of my friends said Bonchon is better which I thought was only ok. It wasn't until we went to Korean years ago and tried Kyochon (a Korean fried chicken place which ironically was in the same building above Kentucky fried chicken and we didn't know if it would be good) that we realized how good Korean fried chicken could be. We ate 40 wings for breakfast and wanted more. We ordered and waited 30 mins at the restaurant while they made it but it was so totally worth it. It had been many years but this place really reminds me of the fried chicken from Korea. We enjoy both the spicy and non- spicy wings. My wife thought the spicy ones are really spicy I thought they were pretty mild. We had takeout and waited a little bit before we ate. I bet it's a lot better when it's fresh, which means we need to make another trip back there. So happy to finally have a good place for wings in the neighborhood.

Alright so like if you're looking for crunchy spicy and tasty well this is it. It's definitely got a Korean infused menu and the boneless (personal favorite) is definitely crunchy and tasty with whichever flavor sauce you choose. Clean dining area and even had motocross on when we visited so thumbs up for that too. Also had the Nets game on another TV. Recommended trying the pickled radish and it was refreshing to have with my meal. Polite service.

    Coleslaw - very yummy

Have ordered from here 3x now. My family loves the soy garlic drum sticks, the coleslaw, French fries and cheese sticks. I had the boneless soy garlic lunch special today with white rice. It comes with a side of coleslaw, radish and a can of soda for $14. As another review mentioned, the boneless is thigh meat. I would have preferred white meat, but I get that the thigh retains the flavor. However, I was underwhelmed as thigh meat is not my favorite. Next time I will try the wing lunch special instead. Ordered online, super easy!

Incredible food, simply put. We ordered here once though uber eats and it was so good we ordered AGAIN the day after. The fried chicken, spicy, sweet, or whatever you want, is sublime. Crunchy even after a 1 hr wait. The dragon craving box where they serve the chicken over rice is even better. Their boba is pretty good as well. Huge huge fan of their rice cakes and also their other small Korean side dishes. If I'm ever in the area I will for sure pay this spot an in person visit. the photos from other guests match my expectations to the good vibes and value of this establishment.

Friday Lunch Crew (FLC) got together today to try a fairly recent addition to our area: Don Chicken, 48 Stiles Ln Suite 101, Pine Brook, NJ 07058. A small, cozy, comfortable, and sharp looking eatery, offering deliciously prepared Korean Fried Chicken. Don Chicken is sort of hidden on the side of a small shopping mall, a very, very short distance over the Vail Road bridge in Parsippany into Montville (Pine Brook). Our group pretty much tried and enjoyed everything on the menu today. Collectively we unanimously agreed that every serving hit the mark. Small menu, but perfect for this type of venue. The imported Korean sauces were excellent, and the double fried chicken (with and without bones was crunchy, crispy, and juicy throughout. Very tasty, somewhat unique, and satisfying! BYOB, so bring along your favorite beverage. Personally, I went with a Korean been, which really complimented the seasonings and spices. Eat in or take out, give them a try. Better yet, go either way go with some friends and enjoy the wonderful and friendly hospitality. It's certainly worth the trip if you're an aficionado of fried chicken. 02/16/2024

Soooo, we went to Embark tonight for the second time. Full disclosure, the first time Wifey and I…read morecame here was when they first opened, we came kind of late and we didn't have the best experience, but I PROMISED myself I'd come back before reviewing because I honestly believed I just hit them on a bad night. Had a good friend recently tell me I needed to come back, so we did. Tonight we ordered a half rack of ribs, a pulled pork sandwich, and the pulled pork Mac-n-cheese. In a word, the food was fantastic. I've had BBQ in a LOT of places and also have my own smoker that I've gotten pretty good at using it so I know good BBQ...and this is good BBQ. The ribs were delicious - cooked perfectly the way the want them in competition...not fall off the bone, but with a little bite, and the flavor was great. Amazing bark on the outside with tender meat on the bone. The pulled pork sandwich was so tender and delicious that I wish I didn't have to share it with Wifey. And their homemade BBQ sauce is absolutely great...a little spice on the back of the tongue, but still sweet without being overly sweet (they have four kinds, but I only wanted the traditional). The pulled pork Mac-n-cheese was very rich but full of flavor with a nice breadcrumb topping as well. Each platter also came with cole slaw, something often overlooked by BBQ places, but not here. Very tasty, very fresh, though I think it needed a pinch of salt. I do wish we had gotten some cornbread, but honestly, we walked away very full. The service here is super friendly and our food came pretty quickly...and I really love the layout and vibe here. I spoke to the owner about how much I loved the food tonight and how it was such a difference from my first experience. I'm so glad we came back. The people behind the counter all seem to LIKE what they're doing...and that means a lot. Real BBQ places are always pricey, because you aren't paying for just the food, your paying for the hours and hours and hours of cooking it takes to get the food to taste as good as it does and to be tender. You can't take shortcuts with BBQ. So yeah, Embark isn't cheap, but if there's one thing I've discovered over the years it's that you DON'T want cheap BBQ. Embark is a BYOB place so bring your favorite beer, order some great food, and sit with friends savoring the deliciousness. I will NOT wait this long to come back again.

There is a decent amount of seating, although there were more takeout orders at the time I visited. It's very clean inside and decorated nicely. I ordered the 2-meat sampler with brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was awesome, super tender and packed with flavor. The BBQ sauce really complemented the meats. The pulled pork was also very good, but the brisket was definitely the star. The mac and cheese was just okay. The breadcrumbs on top made the mac and cheese a bit soggy. Portions were a bit small for the price. Overall, I thought my meal was good but I would definitely come back just for that brisket.

The restaurant has a simple decor but enough special touches to set a Pakistani vibe. They have both booth and table seating. The restaurant is very clean. There is but one attendant that fills the roll of both waiter and cashier. After ordering we were presented with complimentary garlic naan and a green salad with yogurt. My son ordered the "Mixed Platter" ($17) which was huge and ended with a take-out box and a meal later in the week. The platter consisted of of 2 lamb kabobs, 2 chicken kabobs and the best biryani rice I ever tasted. I find their spices intoxicating. I ordered the "Goat Achari" ($16). The goat was cooked with spices and additionally flavored with pickles. The goat meat was marinated and fell of the bone. I could have eaten 2 bowls. The chai tea was anything but sweet and came with sugar for people like me that like their tea a bit sweet. The restaurant has street parking as well as on-site parking.

But I was craving Pakistani food the other night and we weren't anywhere we could cook so I started looking for a place in the area that we were staying when I found this restaurant on Yelp after visiting some breweries in and around the area. So I was like, Let's try it out! She agreed and we drove that way. So we walked in maybe 30 minutes or so before closing and placed a to go order because we didn't want to sit down and be rude by keeping them there after closing. The employees were nice and spoke to my girlfriend in Urdu so I have no idea what they were saying tbh. lol. I just know she ordered several things and I was excited to try them all. I stepped away to use the bathroom while she was doing her thing and when I came back out and I noticed it is a very clean place and decorated very nicely. So we went to the car and waited for maybe 15-20 minutes before the food was ready. We left and the food smelled so good on the drive back to the hotel. I was so pumped to eat it. She ordered: - Palak paneer 4/5 - Chicken kebab 3/5 - Basmati Rice 4/5 - Garlic naan 4/5 - Mutton gosth kharhi 3/5 - Keena paratha 4/5 - Gulab jamun 4/5 The food was good but not as good as hers or her mother's. Theirs is really really good! :D The palek paneer was my favorite. The chicken kabobs were okay just a little dry and lacked flavor. The garlic naan was pretty good. The mutton gosth kharhi was decent but this was my first time having it since I rarely ever eat meat, so I can't really compare it to anything I've had. I loved the keena paratha, but it was a little too oily. The rice was good. The gulab jamun was very tasty. This place is good and it's in a cool area on a cool street. Would I come again? Absolutely! It's good food and good service, especially considering it was take out. Shukriya!
