This how I feel about this place!!
Gina O.

I will give this place 0 Stars. I picked 1 star cause you have too! Placed an order and was told 40 minutes called them one hour later and they said oh we're really busy it's coming. Then I get a call on my cell phone saying they have NO WONTONS for my Quart of Wonton Soup!!!!! How do you run out of this staple at a Chinese Restaurant! So I tell them what I'll have instead and then another 40 minutes pass by and still NO FOOD!! I call back to find out what is going on and get the same excuse their busy. No sorry, no we'll be right there, no we'll give you a discount or even a free egg roll! So 2 HOURS later the food gets here cold and soggy! We will never order from here again!

I hated doing this. But the food isn't the greatest. I've had better food elsewhere. Their fried chicken are over battered.

I ordered at 12:15pm and my food arrived at 1:10pm almost an hour later. That's just ridiculous and the food isn't that good either!

This food was extremely disappointing. We threw a lot of it out. We will never order from here again.

But with them serving up some seriously delicious eats you can bet I won't make that mistake again. Really cool retro vibes coming from this classic style Jersey Diner spot. It's not the biggest place by any means but they do offer a decent amount of seating options and if I'm being honest I didn't exactly come here to sit, I came to EAT!!  Lol. Also worth mentioning about The Cutting Board is right after ordering the second thing which I couldn't help but notice is that all along the windows are many different kinds of Salt and Pepper shakers proudly on display. It's quite the collection and an instant eye grabber. "C'mon Bill tell us about the food already" Okay, first time here I went with the Cutting Board Cuban Sandwich which came loaded with Black Forest Ham, Swiss Cheese, Spicy Pickles, Tomatoes, and Dijon Mustard all on a Rye Bread Panini. It was delicious in every way possible and I found myself very satisfied, not to mention very FULL as well. Lol. The staff I encountered were friendly & patient, which is shockingly not the norm these days! I ordered the tuna melt & fries & took a seat at the counter. I was the only one sitting along the counter, but there are also a few tables in the back that had parties at them. My food was ready relatively quickly & was served to me with a smile. The fries were of the steak cut variety, which aren't my favorite, but no fault of the delis - just my personal preference. They were cooked well & served hot - can't ask for much more! The tuna melt was actually a sandwich & not an open faced sandwich, as they tend to be, and I found that to be a pleasant surprise. Open faced tend to get soggy quickly. The tuna was aplenty & it was delicious. The bread was perfectly toasted & buttery as well. I do wish it was served with a pickle spear, though. Not sure if that's the norm & mine was forgotten or if it is not served as such. Either way, I'm obviously grasping at straws. Otherwise, it was a delightful lunch. I'm happy to have discovered The Cutting Board & even happier they are in the immediate area of my job, I will definitely be back to try more.

With that being said the service we received here yesterday was outstanding and better than any five star restaurant. I cannot say how wonderful our waiter was.. I can't remember his name because let's face it. I had a few drinks because that's what it's about there. I believe it was. Giancarlo? So the manager if you see this, please let me know if that's correct or not. This kid was incredible. He was helpful without being overbearing. He was great with his beer knowledge, but we really sold me was when there was a table behind us that had a son with special needs at this young man treated that table with kindness and compassion and really we need more of that. To the owner of this business, I know that the wait staff gets a very minimal amount per hour because they depend on tips, but if there's anyway you can raise his base pay, I would love to see that we were only gonna have one drink each, but because of how he treated us we ended up having two for me and three for my husband, that young man is an investment

Restaurant was nice and quiet, and very casual. It was my first time coming here, but his second time. He ordered Sashimi Salad which he said was amazing. We shared a Niku meat set, which is basically 6 skewers with different combinations of meat, ( pork belly with lettuce, pork belly with tomato, pork belly with leek, pork skewer, chicken thigh, and baby potatoes) The flavor on each skewer was so delicious. We also shared their signature sliders with fries. The pork burger was extremely juicy and flavorful, and the fries were so crispy. And we also had their chicken fried rice. Wow it was savory. My bf doesn't really like rice but he kept eating the rice. That's how savory it was. I'll definitely be back to try new items. I heard their brunch is awesome.

The place is a simpler local eatery, so decor wasn't exactly a designed by some of the best New York interior decorators, but it was pleasant and very calm. The food is a fusion of various Asian cuisines but it is picked very well and cooked to perfection. Kids loved the Baos and Ramen which is probably one of the best indicators of the quality. From what I can tell it is family owned and run, so service may be a little slower than most similar places but it is definitely attentive and friendlier then most.
