It is your classic take out Chinese menu and is very tasty. I had the Moo Sho pork, and it was hot and on point and I also had the shrimp egg roll and that was tasty too. The shrimp and scallops in garlic sauce was another hit. The only drawback was it took a little longer for the delivery, but all the food was hot when it arrived. Just received our cold food while waiting 2 hours (no joke) ordered at 5 pm latest arrival 628 food arrived at 702 with rude driver who asked if I realized I put $1.88 tip on the order. I replied "no I didn't. Thought I put $4. He was standing at the door looking at me like I should hand him money. I need to put gas in my car .. He said I won't be able to deliver here anymore ! My response well we waited 2 hours so we won't be requesting your delivery anymore anyways .. who even does that?! Questions a tip.. Horrible service. Placed an Order for delivery and called an hour later. Claimed he tried calling but never did. He said I ordered a lunch special and needed to change. He put the phone down so he could ring up customers in the store and made me wait at least 5 minutes on hold. Another man picked up and said we don't deliver, we cancelled your order. I asked why he waited so long and he yelled we don't don't deliver. I said you've delivered before we order all the time. He said oh well, told him they lost us as customers and he said ok. 14 years. 14 years we've been getting takeout from King's Palace and other than one or two minor mistakes in our order I've never had a complaint. And the food has always been very, very good. So why the sudden 2-star review? CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP!! When the change in ownership first occurred I was only mildly concerned because the same cook remained with the place...food was still great even of the new owners/employees were initially having some issues with taking orders. I've now been there three times since the change and tonight I discovered that the old cook is no longer there. Got home and tried everything...and it's time to find a new place. I don't know what they are doing, but everything was bland (except the fried rice) or just not good. The dumplings and egg rolls were worse than bland because they simply didn't taste good. Food used to be very good but recently it went downhill in a hurry. On multiple occasions I ordered my food: egg drop had very little flavor. Shrimp mei fun also was exceedingly bland. Staff was not friendly. This experience repeated itself an a few occasions. I have stopped going there. For a few bucks more, I go to Hunan Taste and not only do I get excellent food but get treated like a real customer! read more

This only pertains to chicken chow mein. I'm kind of a chicken chow mein connoisseur - lol, but seriously... I pretty much judge a Chinese restaurant by their chicken chow mein. It's probably a fairly Americanize dish, but bear with me. I used to get chicken chow mein from Hunan Taste all the time. Suddenly, it's not on their menu anymore. I called Hunan Taste to make a take-out order one day at lunchtime and I was told they don't make chow mein anymore. Of course, I was like O. K. Go ahead and take one of the best things off the menu. So tonight I compared King's Palace's chicken chow mein to Oriental Express's chicken chow mein. Surprisingly, King's Palace won by a mile. It was pretty damn good. It's hard to describe, but the chicken at King's Palace was softer than Oriental Express's, there were more green vegetables in King's Palace's and the taste (the sauce) was a bit more flavorable or authentic in King's Palace's (like a real Chinese dish). I'll have to try King's Palace again with other items. I used to go to King's Palace all the time years ago, but I switched to Hunan Taste. Now, I'm a bit turned off to Hunan Taste. I know they're good and people love it there, but I have gotten some kind of rotten tasting things there :( not to mention no more chow mein. read more

The food is cheap and the parking is ample. Very small space inside so I would recommend this place for take out only. Service was a little awkward. The guy taking orders doesn't communicate very well. If you do eat in, they serve you on paper plates. The food tasted good and they give you plenty of it. Overall, it is a middle of the road kind of place. Don't go out of your way to visit but if you do, it's not the worst. read more

Probably the most disgusting Chinese food I've ever had. Battered chicken for sweet & sour was all batter, undercooked, flavorless. For over twenty-five years we have been ordering take out from King's Palace and we have no plans to go anywhere else in the future. While there are three of four tables there, it really is a take out place. Even on the busiest evenings the wait is never more than fifteen minutes which is perfect timing to get the table set and make the short drive over. The food is consistently good and I am particularly fond of the Fried Rice offerings which are heavily browned with soy sauce, just the way I like it. In fact, many times I will pick up a small order of fried rice and be content with that for my dinner if I will be home alone. All of the dishes and appetizers are really good and if this were a sit down restaurant, would be on part with some of the best. I also love how they offer free soda with orders totally certain levels so you can pick up a combo dinner and get a free can. Order more and get a two liter bottle or more. Good deal huh? Try the special #33 Subgum Wantons for a tasty take on brown sauce with the usual beef, pork, chicken and shrimp which also comes with a bag of fried wantons for dipping in that tasty sauce. We never order less than 4 meals, rarely complain, are not too far away from the place. Why the 'tude? Done with them. For take out Chinese, this place is great. My family orders from here often, and we always like the food. Delivery is quick, the portions are large, price is reasonable, and food quality is constant. Not super fancy, so if you are looking for a nice sit down this isn't the place for you (I'm not actually sure you can eat in), but it's good Chinese take out. I just had an order delivered from King's Palace and boy was it terrible. We ordered sesame chicken which was so overdone and dry that we couldn't even chew it. We have been ordering from King's Palace for years and it has progressively gone down hill. It's time to find a new restaurant for Chinese food. read more
