The San Bei "Chicken" was magnificent! The oyster mushrooms, green and red sweet peppers, onions, and ginger with san bei sauce made for a marvelous combination of flavors. For you carnivores, please note that the "Veggi chicken" tasted like well-prepared "real chicken." My wife shared her tofu with mixed vegetables dish and I agreed with her that the mixed vegetables were 'finger-licking" but the the tofu was something we were not used to; it was bland and tough. Service was good and the ambience was pleasant.

I've had this place bookmarked for awhile and gave it a try with a to-go order. The food was just alright. It wasn't bad but also wasn't the best vegetarian I've had. But what really killed it was the wait time for a to-go... I really was excited to try this place and ordered a few items from each category. The owner (I'm assuming) gave a few recommendations. She told me the sushi would take a while but never told me how long. I ended up waiting at the restaurant for 45 minutes. I watched diners awkwardly sitting in the bench by the door. If I knew it would have taken that long I probably would have avoided ordering the sushi, especially if it was just 2 rolls. The lady also came up to me 20 minutes into waiting to re-confirm that I wanted brown rice for the sushi. I was really surprised at the question because I thought it was pretty clear when I had placed the order. Maybe they're short staffed, regardless, I felt the wait time could have been handled better.

What a beautiful restaurant ! So peaceful! The food is delicious and staff is wonderful!!! Looking forward to coming back!

Had an apt across the street stopped in for a to go. Ordered the Avacado Salad... cucumbers Tomatoes organic baby green red onions organic alfalfa sprouts and sliced avocado. My salad was minus everything except the baby greens and avocado. 8.95 for this? I called them to explain, still waiting to hear back.

Veggie heaven is always a go-to when in Denville. Everything in this restaurant is vegetarian and they have ample vegan options as well. The food is well-seasoned and the sauces compliment the veggie "chicken" and "beef". The sushi is tasty but only comes cut in 4 pieces. I did not have the dessert but my friend loved the coconut cake. It was moist and had an interesting delicious filling. I personally did not like the bubble tea with tapioca bubbles. The flavoring used did not taste as good comparatively to other bubble tea shops I've tasted. The service was moderate in timing, however we were seated right away. The restaurant is clean. The booth benches were further from the table than I like and slightly uncomfortable.

what's goodie society themadscientist here wit a date nite wit juju at denville's veggie heaven and on the entry you are submerged into an oasis of culture from the various buddahs to the lil golden talisman cat. the dine-in should be the go to yet if you gotta go home instead of eat'n it there it's not a huge difference when it comes to the food. the service top tier treatment from begin'n to end and we arrived late yet did not feel rush'd or anything. top tier service and they really keep it that way ~~~~~~let's get to the grub tho~~~~~~ if you can see from the pictures we treat'd ourselves (talk'n fine dine'n) just mind yourself if you are allergic to ginger let them know most of their sauces might have it. first up to the stand is the bamboo and tofu soup and to tell you to cop would be and understatement a great starter to your meal not too fill'n yet power pack'd wit flavor. next was the appies (appetizers) so scallion pancakes and chinese hor d'oeuvre and you can see by them pics. those two together could definitely be a meal easy. the scallion pancakes are a go to no fibs they are always great especially from this veggie heaven. the hor d'oeuvre is better for a 3 to 4 party cause it will be overwhelming great and you won't have enough room if it's just 2 people (imo yet who knows your stomach better than you). now to the entrées juju had the veggie fried rice no onion and she said it was good no it was great (she is not vegan so that's +10 imo). themadscientist had the happy house wit white rice and a great selection if i do say so myself. it has a few of the proteins they serve wit veggie (next time have to say switch the snow peas for brocoli) just really wasn't dig the snow peas in it yet would recommend and would get again. last yet not less the bevs and yes you can see in the visuals a mango bubble tea wit mango pops and a blue machine both top tier drinks on their menu. this will always be a go to especially if you are first time i wanna try something vegan place. you will not be upset about this choice you know the science stay lyt society bah bah big l.y.t the biggest of l.y.ts

Just moved to the area and have been looking to see what kind of vegan options I can find. Stopped in to Veggie Heaven and WOW! Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Scallion Pancakes and the Korean chicken and both were incredible. The way they get the fried "chicken" to stay crispy even with sauce on the outside is insane. Will definitely be back.

If you're vegetarian or vegan, I'm this truly is heaven. As someone who's dipping into the world of plant based, places like this make it so east. The vegan sushi was outstanding. I love sushi so much, and the dragon roll and spicy tuna were almost identical to their fish versions. The rice was so tasty and the fillings were so delicious. I also got the general tsos chicken - it was SO delicious. I ate every single bite and as with many plant based meals, didn't feel gross. This is such an elevate version of fast pan asian food and I couldn't recommend more. The staff were incredibly kind and fast serving to our larger party - drinks refilled constantly and the food was hot and came out so quickly. A definite recommend!

Neither me nor my wife are vegetarians, but we wanted to give this place a try. The outcome? We're very happy we did! The restaurant is located in the heart of Denville. The menu is huge with lots of options. We started off by ordering a Philadelphia roll. For our entrees, we ordered off the lunch menu. My wife had the veggie beef with broccoli, and I went with the veggie lo mein. Nice, crispy spring rolls came with the orders. Not only was the food delicious, but we also felt happy eating healthy! I had Ginger Tea with my meal which I really liked as well. Parking was easy. Service friendly. Prices very reasonable, especially at lunch. If you're looking for something a little different, give this place a try!

The customer service is a time capsule of an era where a business strived to make your visit special and memorable with quality food and great service and not by some trend or gimmick. One thing that is not in the past is their skilled ability to provide a safe meal for those who are vegan, gluten free and or dairy free. I've never been to a restaurant that can turnout amazing authentic Italian food made with regular flour while also being able to provide a safe gluten free and or dairy free alternative of the same caliber. They have an efficient system that makes it clear there are people with dietary restrictions at the table and they take it very seriously. With all those great things to say, the food is what is worth writing home about. A gluten free chicken Parmesan that no one would ever guess was gf! A delicious gf df chocolate lava cake to end the meal was such a treat and was delicious. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and attentive, they're a well oiled machine! And it was very nice for the grandson of the original founders to walk around and talk to us, not just a how is everything tonight kind of stop either, he really took the time to make pleasant conversation about the World Cup and ask how our son did at his soccer tournament. They have been around for 56 years and if our visit was anything to go off, they'll be around for another 100 years!

The way they show pictures of "today's specials" on an iPad type device is a nice touch. The meatball app had good flavor as well as the ricotta that came with it. The fiancé had the pear purse which is always a very good. Also the Eggplant Pisa salad that came with my lunch paring was very very good and I would eat it again!!! The bad. The meatball app, although tasty, was only two small meatballs (basically the size of a soup spoon!!) for 15 bucks. So I don't care for the cost compared to the value you get for it. Also I am a snob for chicken parm and this chicken was overcooked and dry. The bread crumbs were soggy and would have been forgiven if the chicken itself wasn't so overcooked and dry!!!! My over all is this. Been to mamas many times before this review and I think they are worth your time (even more so during dinner time!). They do more things right than they ever do it wrong. So I would still recommend going. I just wouldn't recommend it to the New Jersey Chicken parm Facebook page........

We did sit at the bar today which dominated a large section of the place, has room to sit dozens and as expected from a sports bar, tvs and big screens all around. We came there wasn't a game, so we were pleased to listen to good music as we sat in the corner of the bar. We only sampled a small portion of the menu as we only had 40 minutes, but the fish and chips were spot on, crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, came straight from the fryer without feeling overly greasy. The fries were delicious, and the burger was respectable We def plan to come by next time we need to pass time waiting for our drummer boy.

The waitress came over right away and we ordered two margaritas. They came in 10 minutes and they were very watered down. She never gave us straws and the ice was in chunks not smooth ice for a frozen drink. Not worth it for $15 each My wife ordered beer battered shrimp and I ordered the Snow crab bucket for $50. Dinner came in about 20 minutes. The Shrimp were beer battered but the tails still remained and the batter was not cooked. Very battery. My crab bucket included 2 clusters. 6 small pieces of potato, corn on the cob and all covered in some potato/ carrot kind of sauce. Remember- I have use my hands to crack the crab legs, so all the sauce was all over me. This was frustrating. The crab was fine once I got through it but the potatoes were undone. The common the cob was very good. All considered! I gave the place a 2 and I won't be back unless I go for beers and to watch a game. Choose another place for dinner as there are many choices in the area.

From a food perspective, our meal initiated with a basket of some of the best rolls I had ever had. They were large, fluffy, and doughy with a hint of crispiness from a light toasting. We then shared the Veal and Beef Meatball, which was gigantic but still managed to have the ideal texture. It was also beautifully seasoned and served in what the chef called his "grandma's plum tomato sauce", which was divine! The sauce was thick and hearty, so when that was paired with pecorino cheese and basil oil, it really made for a fabulous dish. I even cut off a small piece to put inside my roll with a spoonful of sauce - chef's kiss! After that, we enjoyed some of the house-made pasta dishes, tasting each in a family-style format. The Squid Ink Bucatini was tossed with scallops, shrimp, and jumbo lump crab in a seafood tomato sauce. I did not love the briny finish to the sauce or that some of the scallops were chewy. The Tagliatelle with Duck Bolognese, tomatoes, and carrots was good, but I prefer my pomodoro sauce without the addition of a "light cream". Lastly, the special Spaghetti came with lobster, crab, and peas in vodka sauce. That one was definitely my favorite. While I do not love peas, the sauce was rich and flavorful. Across these last two dishes, I thought the pasta was a tad overcooked and could have been more al dente; the bucatini consistency was more inline with my preferences. Overall, I thought the food at Laboratorio Kitchen was above average, but that the service and atmosphere helped elevate the place. I would definitely consider going back to try some of their other dishes.
