One Sunday morning my kids and I were killing time watching reels and a couple comes in eating the thinny thin pizza and the hot honey chicken from here. It looked so good we said let's go have lunch! So we took the 30 minutes drive to try the food for ourselves. The restaurant has some parking in the front and a lot in the back so no issues finding a spot. The restaurant was nicely decorated and busy on a Sunday. Service was slow due to how busy they were. The pizza was nice and crispy although I didn't love it and the hot honey chicken was delicious with the slaw and pickle ranch it is served with. We also ordered some mozzarella sticks for good measure. Would I make the long drive back? Probably not. My kids did love it though and said they would.
This was our first time eating at Cafe Crevier. We heard about all the rave about the "Thinny Thin Pizza" so we decided to check out the place. The decor was nice. We decided to get the rice balls for our appetizer. For our entree my husband ordered the Blue Cheese burger and I got the pizza. The rice balls were ok. For the entree my husband's burger came out about five minutes before my pizza. So he waited till I got the pizza which it's a bit of an inconvenience. It seems like they were a bit backed up with takeout pizza orders which delayed me getting my pizza. The pizza itself was good but the bottom was not crispy. It was a Friday night, although early, so maybe we would have had a better overall experience had it not been on a busy night.
This is one of our favorite spots! Service is always great and the food is even better. Our favorite appetizer is the shrimp, it's really so good and the easy on the pizi pie is to die for. My favorite pasta dish is the funghi, has great flavor. Their lunch sandwiches are also a great bite!
I've heard that the thin crust pizza here is amazing, so I stopped in for lunch. Unfortunately, they don't sell it by the slice and I was alone. Not to worry, however, they have a nice lunch menu. I decided to go healthy and ordered the Strawberry Avocado Toast. I have to admit, it was very tasty! Smashed avocado on a 7 grain bread, topped with strawberries and toasted almonds, with a balsamic glaze. The dish was not only filled with healthy ingredients, but it was also delicious! Denville is one of my favorite NJ towns. The town center has so many food options. I'll be back to Cafe Crevier for the pizza, but next time I'll bring someone with me!
I've waited so long to come here specifically for the pizza and I am a huge thin crust fan so the thinny thin pizza did NOT disappoint! The crab cakes were also solid, not the best I've ever had but the real deal with crab and not breadcrumbs. Mom loved the beet salad. Pro tip the thin crust pie is not meant for take out it will be hard as a rock and impossible to eat, go sit in the adorable dining room and enjoy it in person!
Can't beat a suuuuper thin bar pie. Or the 'thinny thin', as they call it at Cafe Crevier. I ordered a pie takeout, and my big learning was that a takeout thin crust pie just isn't the same. Ooey, gooey and hot out of the oven would've been best. The cheese got hard super fast because of how thin the pie was (like legit, it's a cracker). It was still really good though, and I love how the tomato sauce was super sweet. Basically, I can tell this is going to be an amazing pie if I eat in person and I'm excited to go back and do just that. The cesar salad was very lackluster with wilted lettuce and low quality sprinkle cheese. Def would not order again, and I'd try a different app with my pizza like burrata or calamari. I'll be back soon - excited to try more.
Best pizza ive ever had, the thinny thin is great but im a man of flavor. The vodka margarita was to devour. Beet salad was also delicious. Good service and clean kitchen. Definitely recommended

We started with the much-talked-about "Thinny Thin" pizza, which, I later learned, earned a cameo on One Bite. Rightfully so -- the flavor was deep and deliberate, the kind that hints at a chef who understands restraint and richness can co-exist. The sauce had just enough zing, the cheese melted into creamy harmony, and the crust edges delivered a perfect, audible crisp. But the middle? Soft. Soggy, doughy even. It's a shame because the flavor truly sang, but the texture muted the experience. My table gave it an 8.5. I'm calling it a 7 -- delicious, but flawed. Still, I'd order it again in a heartbeat. Then came the Artisan Pizza, which suffered from a small but crucial oversight: balsamic glaze. It wasn't listed on the menu, and my fiancée (a card-carrying member of the Anti-Balsamic Brigade) sent it back. Our server insisted the glaze had been listed. We double-checked. It wasn't. They remade it -- cold. Disappointment, served lukewarm. But then came the redemption arc: the burger. Let me be clear -- I didn't come here for a burger. I ordered it as a fallback, a culinary shrug. But what landed on my plate was a revelation: perfectly cooked to a blushing medium, flavorful without being greasy, held together like a well-made story, and topped with accoutrements that hugged the patty like a clingy girlfriend. The bun -- pillowy, golden, toasted just enough to whisper "we care." Light, juicy, utterly satisfying. This wasn't just a good burger for the neighborhood. This was the best burger I've had in years anywhere nearby. In a town teeming with smashburgers and pub patties, Café Crevier's version is in a class of its own. I came for the pizza, but I left a burger believer. Despite a few missteps -- a soggy pie center, a cold replacement -- Café Crevier did what it was suppose to do. Provided a good place to catch up with family and friends while serving tasty food. Despite some big missteps. It's a place with promise, a kitchen with serious talent, and a burger that deserves its own cult following. I'll be back. Get the burger.
This was a place where I tried a dish served at a party. I was able to have a tray of the chicken piccata. The pieces of chicken were cut up nicely and were pounded out very thin. It was some of the most tender chicken I had in a long time. There was a ton of flavor besides that. The floured chicken had a great balance of all what a chicken piccata entails. I really enjoyed that there was plenty of capers pieces incorporated. Will I go back? I did not attend but would definitely head there.

My friend and I made last-minute reservations on a Friday night, and even though the restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, we were seated immediately. There are a lot of tables in the space, so it did feel a bit cramped. It seemed like there were only a few staff members working, so we remained patient, knowing how challenging it can be to cover so many tables. The menu appeared to have a limited selection of pizza options, but I was happy to see a cauliflower crust available. Since the restaurant is BYOB, we brought along a bottle of wine to enjoy while waiting for our meals. My friend's chipotle pasta looked delicious, and she really enjoyed it. As for my cauliflower margherita pie--it was absolutely amazing! I devoured the entire thing and would gladly order it again. Overall, a great experience, and I'd love to come back.
My wife Bridget and I we're in between High School Track and Field meets so decided to grab some Italian hot sandwiches. Delicious and our server Jose was fabulous and spot on. The ambience is amazing. A great pizzeria known for its pizza pies but also great other food. read more
A Brooklyn thin crust pizza place in good old Denville. We ordered the Blooming Shroom, the Thinny Thin (pizza), Hot Vinegar Chicken, House Salad, and Penne with Butter for the kids. The pizzas had combinations of ingredients not typically found on pizzas, but these flavorful combinations worked to provide very tasty pizzas. Altogether, the service, ambiance and food made for a very pleasant dinner. read more

Amazing pizza. The 'Thinny Thin' is absolutely a top notch traditional NJ bar pie. Perhaps the thinnest pizza I have ever had and they still managed to keep it crisp and hold its shape. And it has a very nice ring of caramelized cheese around the rim. I have no idea how they can possibly do it. The sauce had a nice, tangy flavor and the cheese was delicious as well. I have now been to 67 pizza places in NY/NJ and this place is in the very, very top few. It is not very close to me but I cannot wait to go back. Again and again. Just outstanding. I'm getting hungry just writing this. read more

We opted with takeout today and I ordered the French onion chicken sandwich. It was a really great knock off of the soup. The sandwich was delicious, but I could've done without the soggy and over salted fries that came with the meal. If there's an option to change the side dish, then I recommend going with something else. read more
I can't say I don't miss Mara's :( but I will absolutely be back to Cafe Crevier! What I liked: spacious interior with such cute decorations (albeit a little random; not quite sure what the theme is here, the lighting is nautical but there are lots of fake plants/flowers); fast and really friendly service (seems like this is a family-owned and run place); pricing is comparable to most other places nowadays, nothing insane; the free table bread was REALLY good, good flavor, warm, and crispy; the pizza was exactly the kind of thickness I like in a thin crust pizza (not paper thin, has a little thickness to it) and the slices had integrity/could stand on their own, but the crust was not cracker-y (not a fan of cracker crust, personally) -- big win there; lastly, I loved that the onion topping for the pizza was CARAMELIZED onion! Hardly see that anywhere. Although, it's worth noting that the menu didn't specify that, so if you're not a fan, don't get the onion. What I didn't like: this is really the only reason for the -1 star -- the pizza sauce just lacked flavor. Either that, or there just wasn't enough on there (or a combination of the two). My husband got a plain Thinny Thin and agreed something with the sauce was missing. Will still be back to try other items, or maybe give the pizza another try! read more

I keep giving this place opportunities but they always disappoint. Today I ordered lunch takeout for my family and my hubs and I split the spicy chicken sando and prosciutto truffle. The prosciutto was so hard, chewy and fatty it actually made me nauseous. I have never eaten prosciutto like this and I've been to Spain. The rest of the sandwich was ok but it was mostly bread. I think it's time to put this place to rest, there are too many good restaurants in the area. read more

I'll be honest, reading the reviews I was hesitant about this place but I'm glad I tried it. We came for a very late afternoon brunch on a Saturday. The service was good and attentive, the food came out quickly and it was delicious. We ordered the French onion sandwich and the crab cake eggs Benedict. Even the fries were crispy and good. It was also extremely affordable. There's so many options on the menu, it's hard to decide what you want. We'll definitely have to come back to try their super thin crust pizza. read more

First time here but certainly not the last. We went today in the middle of the afternoon as I wanted to be sure we could get in. I had heard that for lunch and dinner you might get lucky to get in. Turns out that at 3pm on a Wednesday you can pretty much have the place to yourself. We were greeted by a super lovely women who showed us to a table in the center of the dining room. The atmosphere is simple and very tasteful. Just the right amount of touches to make you discover little things without becoming overwhelmed and distracted from the food. Our server was attentive but not insistent and we were given water immediately (something we appreciate after a 40 minute drive, even though I have water in the truck which is gone about 10 minutes into the journey). We came here for the Thinny Thin. The menu is extensive and dare I say has something for everyone. Once I saw the short rib crostini, I knew my plan for just pizza had to change. I was not disappointed. I will say this, having grown up Italian, surrounded by amazing food, I expected the crostini to have some crunch. However because of the luxurious jus of the short rib it did not stand a chance of that. The meat was melt in your mouth and the crunch was provided by the fresh lovely peppery arugula. Thrown on top was the perfect amount of burrata that did not smother those other flavors and with a pinch of salt you have added the perfect starter to get your taste buds going. Now step into the ring for the main event. The Thinny Thin. Yes and yes. Thinny and Thin. Wonderful flavor in a thin package. I will say this, the pie that we had did not have the consistency that many of the videos that made us come to the Cafe attributed to it. Our pizza had no crunch in the main section (crust did, I will get there). The slice did not have the rigidity that the videos I saw purported. But let's get back to the reason we feast. Incredible taste. Just the right amount of tomato, cheese and chew. The kicker is the crust. That special treat that so many leave behind when going in for another slice. This crust has that slightly charred cheesy flavor that is so difficult to master. If you are a fan of that piece of cheese that escapes your cheeseburger on the grill but doesn't turn to ash, this is that jam. There were so many things on the menu (deviled eggs with bacon ... COME ON!!) that we can't wait to go back. In a town that has amazing food culture, Cafe Crevier is raising the bar. read more

Food was fantastic. Husband and I can be quite picky (born and bred in NY) so we can be tough critics. The thinny thin vodka margarita pizza was delicious. Burrata was excellent (except the prosciutto - that was a little tough and fatty). Brussels were amazing, pork chop (was a special) perfectly cooked and beautiful presentation. Hubs thought skirt steak lacked a little flavor, but still very good. Portions were healthy, great music, excellent service. BYOB. Can't wait to come back for meatballs and beet salad, amongst other things! A little pricey, but definitely worth it. read more

Stopped by for lunch w friends today. They had some new items on menu n thought we'd try them. The thinny thin pizzas sounded yummy w some great toppings so we settled on them. Had the artisan, Joey D- iavolo , thinny thin w mushrooms n drop that eggplant. They were all so good. The Joey D- iavolo had crumbled sausage n meatballs w caramelized inion , hot peppers n basil. Yummy was so good. The drop that eggplant too was very good w breaded eggplant, dropped peppers, basil n balsamic glaze. What a treat it was. The thinny thin W mushrooms was good too. The artisan looked good and was told it tasted good. Was 16 inch pie w 8 slices. Wasn't heavy. Just the right size w LO for tomorrow that I certainly will enjoy. It took every bone in my body not to hit up The Pasta Shop but I just had to try the pizza at Cafe Crevier and it did not disappoint and lived up to the hype. Slightly charred cheese only crust, delectable sauce and the most perfect under crust. read more
