I placed a takeout order and stopped into this little restaurant on Rt 46 in Rockaway to pick up. The portions are large so one order of Beef Bulgogi and the Spring Roll appetizer was plenty for me and my wife. The beef with vegetables in a tasty sauce was fantastic! The meat was tender and the ingredient all high quality. Spring rolls were great too! The owners are very friendly and there's also a nice seating area inside. Glad I finally made it here!

The lack of a bathroom was a deal killer. Our return this week was fabulous. The vegetable spring roll had a thin light crust and fresh veggies with 2 dipping sauces. Loved the kimchi dumpling. I've had kimchi jagae at least 100x and this was the best I can remember, a perfect balance between spicy broth and meat and vegetables. My wife loved her chicken dosirak. There was so much chicken that I'm having the leftovers for lunch. All in $54. I don't know where else I can get so much flavor at so little cost.

I tried the beef soondubu less spicy which came in a generous quart size - perfect comforting broth with rice to satisfy my cravings. The tofu was so soft and fresh and the beef was great, not too fatty nor chewy, was just surprised it didn't have any other ingredients at all like egg/onions/zucchini that I've had with other soondubu. Same goes for the plain clam soondubu that I ordered for my son, nothing but tofu and clams but the soup was tasty and my son really enjoyed it with the ramen noodles. For a picky eater, he devoured everything and drained the soup from his bowl in one sitting. My husband enjoyed the spicy pork bento. Our son devoured the fried dumplings that came with it. The banchan was basic but tasty - 3 small containers of kimchi, spicy cucumbers and sliced fish cake with carrots. Overall, enjoyable meal and would definitely return again next time we are in the area.

We went with the kbbq combo platter, the steamed egg, 10p soy garlic chicken wings, and veggie japchae. The banchan selected is fantastic and they even bought my son more pasta salad (he loved it). They will cook the food for you which I actually liked. It's very efficient and everything comes cooked perfectly. Japchae noodles are served warm and have a great savory umami flavor. The egg souffle was delicious and the stone bowl kept it nice and warm throughout our meal. Don Chicken is located in a strip mall with a few tables outside. We all went inside and grabbed a large table. Reading the menu, I see a Ramen dish?? I mean, I haven't had Ramen in a while so I chose this dish. Well, the "Ramen" is just that. I was given a food take out dish with a bunch of Ramen Noodles and topped with a fried chicken cutlet. Grill, Chill & Fill Up! Korean BBQ Done Right!…read more While in Union, NJ, on business with my boss, we decided to try something different and stopped at K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot. Neither of us had ever tried Korean BBQ before, and what a great experience it turned out to be! We chose the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ for $32.99 per person and enjoyed beef bulgogi, spicy beef bulgogi, prime brisket, short ribs, spicy and garlic pork belly, and garlic shrimp, along with a variety of vegetables and white rice. The food was delicious, and there were plenty of sauces to choose from or mix yourself. I finished with the tiramisu, which was very good! The best part is the experience. You cook everything right at your table, making it somewhat like hibachi, except you're the chef! It's a fun, social way to enjoy a meal, with plenty of time to talk while everything cooks. The one area that could use improvement is cleanliness and upkeep. The floors felt a little slippery, the bathrooms could have been in better shape, and the dessert area could have been more presentable. A little extra attention to these details would really elevate the overall experience. All in all, an excellent meal and a fun introduction to Korean BBQ. I'd definitely consider returning.
