We really enjoyed our meal at Cinnamon tonight! The menu has a ton of options, and even highlights any new items that have been added recently. The entrees we ordered were much larger than expected, so plenty of yummy leftovers have been brought home to eat throughout the week. There was a large birthday party happening where we were seated so it was a little louder than normal, but the waiters were very attentive and even offered us a few things on the house. Wow, what a turnaround for Cinnemon. I still remember this restaurant being my first buffet experience in the USA back in 2014. I visited several times between 2014-2017 but hadn't been there in years. Yesterday, I finally got a chance to revisit with my colleagues. Heard it had been renovated and expanded with new dishes It was a quiet weekday evening, and we were greeted warmly by the owner, Prabhakar. We had a friendly chat with him about the recent renovations and the new additions to the menu before settling down. We ordered Papdi chaat Samosa Paneer chilli Achari kebab Sharabi Kebab Malai kebab Paneer tikka Methi Chicken Chicken tikka Veg Kadai Malai kofta mixed bread Yes -- it was a lot of food, but we were starving! The food overall was great. A couple of dishes could have been better -- for example, the Paneer Chilli could have been softer, and the Chicken Tikka Masala - like it should have more taste/ flavor -- but the Malai Kofta and Methi Chicken more than made up for it. The Kofta was rich and perfectly balanced, while the Achari and Sharabi Kebabs stood out -- flavorful, well-marinated, and cooked beautifully in the clay oven. Overall Great experience! Had a great Indian Buffet lunch here. All the food was so good that I forgot to take pictures. What I loved about the buffet was the many options and opportunity to try lots of different Indian foods. Also the salad section included of bunch of options too which I don't often see on smaller buffets. The space is big and roomy. The staff were helpful and quick to take empty plates away. We will definitely be back. My only feedback is it would be nice to have a few more veggie options on the buffet. read more

Last night they raised the level with an updated menu. The Hyderabadin Chicken Biryani, a new item, was sensational. Amazing Indian spot serving Rajasthani dishes. 1) The owner of the restaurant is from Rajasthan, India. Unlike, most Indian restaurants which specializes in Punjabi dishes, this restaurant has Rajasthani dishes like Sikandari Lamb and Laal Maas. 2) The best Rajasthani Indian dish in my opinion is Lamb Sikandari. I liked the lamb Laal Maas, but the issue with Laal Maas is that they put whole cardamom in it, so be careful of your bite. I pick the cardamom out. 3) Overall the service was great and next to Planet Fitness. So, you can get your gym and food out of the way. read more

This is mine and my families favorite Indian restaurant!! We have tried so many others and no one does it like cinnamon ! We do prefer to order off of the menu but we do go to the buffet. I am so used to coming to Cinnamon for the lunch buffet that it was a fun treat to actually order entrees off of the menu for take-out. We ordered several dishes: Aloo Bharvan, Chicken Makani, Chicken Shahi Korma, Lamb Korma, Mattar Paneer, Lemon Rice, and Naan. With the exception of the lemon rice and the lamb korma (lamb was very dry), all was delicious! All of the requested spice levels were spot-on, and portion size was great. The best buffet selection in the area...all the favorites...variety of chutneys, a couple of biryanis, chicken dishes including Tikka masala, kebab, saag paneer, daal, goat, curry, etc. Samosas, and the usual desserts available as well. We came here on New Year's Eve with a bunch of friends and an Indian restaurant is great place to go when there are vegetarians in the group. We got a mix of vegetarian and meat entrees. The entrees come with rice and we also got naan and tandoori roti as accompaniments. The food was flavorful and tasted great. They also provide complimentary paapad for the table which is great. Sunday Dinner Buffet rocks!! Really friendly staff. Food is awesome. The buffet is fresh and hot. Owner brings around fresh naan to the tables. Lots of great choices on buffet including for vegetarians saag paneer, daal, samosas, gobi w beans, lentils, veggie biryani and meat eaters chicken tikka masala, shrimp curry, chicken korma, lamb curry, tandoori chicken. Really top notch Indian food. Cinnamon is rated as one of the best Indian restaurants in the area, and it's not surprising to see why. I always order chicken tikka masala, and here it really delivered. The portion was absolutely huge, and even though my husband got his own entree the two of us could have easily shared one. The sauce was super creamy and fragrant, there was a ton of white meat chicken and lots of chopped onions and peppers mixed throughout. Topped above rice or dipped in garlic naan, this was perfection. We also ordered veggie samosas, and these were also delicious. An order comes with two huge overstuffed samosas, and some tasty green chutney and tamarind sauce for dipping. I'm only deducting a star because the garlic naan was very undercooked with lots of raw garlic on it. But, I can only guess that this happened because the kitchen was backed up and in a rush to get out orders. When I arrived to pick up my order on a Saturday night I waited around 20 minutes extra. I could tell they were slammed. Absolutely not a big deal, and I was happy to see them getting lots of business. They employees were also so sweet and apologetic, and even offered me a free mango juice while I waited. You can of course take your food to-go, but if you are considering dining in they have a very large outdoor patio with hanging string lights and an ample amount of heat lamps. They actually share the space with Brunos next door. When a chicken tikka craving hits I'll absolutely be ordering from Cinnamon again. read more

Plain and simple - the best Indian food in the area. Just excellent versions of all dishes - our favorites are the lamb rogen josh and the lamb biryani. And they give a lot of meat for the money. For something a bit more off the beaten path, the shrimp soup with cinnamon, and cilantro is really incredible - unique strong flavor with a perfect amount of heat. This is our favorite Indian food in New Jersey. The flavors are incredible. We had the goat saag, chicken tikka masala, and shrimp korma. All were delicious. We also had a fish tikka appetizer and I've never had a more flavorful salmon. We are early birds, so we got here right when it opened. Our 7 year old son got the kindest service from everyone. When a dish was a bit spicy for him, they brought him yogurt with cucumber and showed him how to mix it in to make the dish less spicy. We love this place and plan to continue to dine-in as opposed to take out because nothing beats the taste straight from the copper dishes. read more

So I tried this place based on previous Yelp reviews, and it was pretty good. In comparison to other Indian buffets, this place had a lot more variety. Unfortunately - most of the "variety" was chicken. Usually there is one good lamb dish, but not here. Chicken is inexpensive - I understand that - but the really cheap cuts of lamb, when cooked properly - are delicious. Most of the food was luke-warm - even though all the food seemed to have burners underneath. That was strange. One of my favorite entrees - tandoori chicken - was disappointing. The quality overall was pretty good for the price. However, I would be more likely to stick with other places that may have less variety but more quality choices. Naan bread was warm out of the oven, but it was a bit more thick and doughy than other places. The place was doing a good business, so if you are considering trying it - you should. read more
