Last month, we were a dine-in party of four at Mumbai Tadka. It was a Friday night, and our two friends who live nearby the restaurant took us out for dinner. It's their go-to for delicious Indian food. My husband and I were excited to try out this place for the first time. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, and we hope to come back again! When we walked inside, the place was already packed with customers. We lucked out and were seated at a round table by the storefront windows. Our waiter took care of us. After we ordered, the food came out right away. Our waiter checked in on us regularly too to see if we needed anything. Below is what we ordered as a group and enjoyed family style: ** Beetroot Tiiki Chaat MUST TRY!) - Crispy shallow-fried beetroot and potato patties topped with tangy tamarind chutney, finished with sweet yogurt). ** Papdi Chaat - Crispy fried papdi tossed with a tangy sweet and savory chutneys, finished with sweet yogurt) ** Chicken Kolhapuri - cooked with roasted spices, coconut milk, curry leaves and bold spices. ** Goat Rogan Josh - cooked with ginger, garlic base and aromatic spices. ** Paneer Mutter ** Garlic Naan ** Peshwari Naan - If I see this on the menu, I order it. Not all places have it, and every place does it different. I like Tadka's version which was still sweet, but was more nutty than fruity

First time here, I believe Bollywood grill used to be here before. Interiors are good and well maintained. We were in a rush, the staff was very accommodating. Got our order out in few mins despite the Friday rush. Food was delicious, paneer curry was tasty and spicy. Will recommend, if you are looking for good North Indian curries and naan.

We had awesome experience last week, so we went back to Mumbai Tadka again to try other dishes. For appetizers, we ordered beetroot tiki chaat. Beetroot tikies in the chaat were soft and tasty, served with Chana, tomatoes, onions, tamarind chutney, coriander chutney with mild spices and garnishing. It was perfectly spiced and delicious. For main course, we ordered Malai kofta again, Bhindi masala, vegetable Biryani, and Butter Naan. Again Malai kofta were soft and delicious with gravy made from Khoya and not from heavy cream. Bhindi masala were awesome, because they were not combination of half cooked onions and half cooked okras, but actually well cooked small okra pieces with finely chopped onions and special combination of spices that made them different from other restaurants. Bhindi masala were out of this world!!!!! Naan were perfectly buttered and soft. Onion and fresh green chili salad was prepared freshly and topped with chat masala to add flavor. Biriyani was cooked with mild spices and combination of several vegetables, topped with fried crunchy onions. I liked it because I did not taste patthar ke phool in the biriyani. It tasted like authentic Indian Biriyani. I personally do not prefer taste of patthar ke phool. For desert, I ordered Rasmalai. Rasmalai seemed freshly prepared on the premise. It was not too sweet and did not have cardamom or nuts on the top, but instead it was topped with dry red rose petals. I think it was nut less so people with allergies to nuts may be able to enjoy after thorough inquiry regarding the nuts. My overall experience again was awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!

This byob restaurant walks the fine line between feeling upscale and a place go on a random Monday - which we did! I saw it was new and had great reviews and dragged my fiance here. From the moment we walked in, everyone was gracious and welcomed us. The service was friendly, prompt, and informative. They made fabulous suggestions. We got a lassoni gobi to start, ehich was visciously spicy in the best way. The goat malabar was tender, rich, nutty and so flavorful. The chicken kohapuri was herbascious and delicately spice. The chicken tikka masala was so rich and balanced with small pieces of something juicy, maybe a fruit, in it. Accompanied by a healing pile of fluffy rice and mixed breads, a birthday girl couldn't have asked for more!

    Chicken Kolhapuri

I was visiting the area on business and I followed the reviews - they did not disappoint this time. This place is delicious- serious players only. I came back the next day for dinner!! I tried the chicken kolhapuri, mixed grill, naan, samosa chat and lentil soup - killer. Gotta try

I arrived just before their three o'clock lunch break and was accommodated by their daughter (who was really friendly and kind). I ordered a chicken shawerma Haifa sandwich, and I watched my pita being toasted over a charcoal fire (she used a fan to literally fan the coal fire). I needed to use two hands, and from my first bite I was in nirvana. I asked and was given a fork and extra sauce. Remarkably good falafel, delicious chicken, and oh, that secret sauce. It's right on Speedwell (a busy street) near a funky intersection that gets tied up quickly. Do yourself a favor and park on a side street a block away: you'll whet your appetite on the walk there, and float in bliss on your way back. Superb. Great value. Just a gem. I will most definitely return and highly recommend it.

The person who took my order was very nice and you could tell she was passionate about the food she brings to her customers. When I first heard of this restaurant, I was hesitant about the quality of the food, due to the fact that it is multiple Asian cuisines under one roof. However, once I took a bite of my food, my concerns were gone. I ordered the Veggie Ramen (Spicy). Trust me, the spice really brings out the flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked it holds firms on the chopsticks. You have the option to either have your tofu steamed or fried (I chose fried). The black fungus gives a meaty texture to the dish, which works well for any vegetarians missing out. The real star of the dish, in my opinion, is the broth. This is where the flavor really comes from; the savory elements blends with the noodles and the tofu every time you dip your chopsticks. The crunchiness from the corn, scallions, and bamboo shoots balances out the noodles. After this fantastic experience, I have no doubt that I will return to Kazu and relive it all over again!
