T1. Kao Basil Kai Dao it's amazing!

The Kao Basil and mango sticky rice were amazing! We moved here a couple months ago and have yet to find good Thai food until now! Seriously great! If your debating on a spot pick this one! We will 1000% be ordering again and again.

Service: great! Ambiance: seems nice but we ordered out. Food: Not quite a 4 star. Depends on what you order. Dear sampler box was okay and dry. You get to sample different things. Spring rolls were the favorite. Veggie Pad Thai was a hit! T4 with the bbq chicken thigh was good. Lots of thin ginger in the rice. T8 was okay. The crispy pork belly was a bit hard and dry. Original fried rice was delicious and a bit sweet. Not pictured was a large Thai wonton soup which was not great and small for a large. Portions are not huge for the price. But decent food and definitely order the pad Thai.

Been wanting to try this new spot for a while and glad that I finally got the chance today. We decided to eat outdoors and sat down after we finished ordering at the counter. We ordered a few things to try and got a Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee to drink. Both drinks were really good and super refreshing! Bangkok Wings - 4/5 I thought these were a little pricey for the amount of wings that you get (5 for $8). Overall I really liked how light these were and the sauce was super addicting as well. Gang Ped Yang - 4/5 I loved the curry that came with this and I think the flavor really hit the spot for me. The crispy duck was kind of disappointing as it was a little dry. Pad See Eiw - 4.5/5 This was probably my favorite of the 3. The portion is quite big, but the chicken was a little dry. I'll probably try tofu or beef next time! Overall I think the flavors of the food were perfect, just the meat itself was on the drier side. The inside was super clean and the service was attentive. I definitely recommend checking them out and supporting small businesses. I'm looking forward to trying out their lunch menu next time!

I ate their vegan Panang curry and I was transported to food heaven. I'd totally drive 40 miles to come eat here. Thank you for the experience!

Ka Nom Jeeb: yummy and fresh, I like the shredded carrot pairing. One of their most popular dishes

A great neighborhood spot with friendly service and yummy food! I think this is probably one of the best local restaurants you can find in this area. You can tell the place is designed with love and care, and the food is thoughtfully prepared. Note that the space is relatively small. There are two tables inside pretty close together and two tables outside, each with two or so chairs. A cool place for a relatively quick dine-in experience but not ideal for any conversation/meeting meant to be too private or intimate. I feel like this is largely designed for takeout but dine-in is totally doable and comfortable if that's what you're looking for. When I went with my friend, only the two of us were dining in so it was perfectly fine. The person taking our order was really friendly and helped clean our table and refill our water quickly. I felt really welcome and taken care of. Food: Yummy and a fair price! They have a bunch of drink options and I saw they had canned bubble tea, which I hadn't seen before. They also had great. summer specials. We ordered: Ka Nom Jeeb (steamed chicken & shrimp dumplings) - well-cooked, great mouth feel, and the shredded carrots and vinaigrette pair super well with the dumplings! felt fresh Taro Fritters - SO YUM. would definitely order again. They were crispy on the outside and warm. Paired really well with their peanut sauce. My favorite thing I ordered! Duck Gra Prow Grob (crispy roasted duck in basil sauce) - crispy and I would order another side or dish of vegetables, but delicious nonetheless. It's duck so it's more expensive than other menu items, but it's duck so what can ya expect? Mango sticky rice - if you love mango, you'll love this. It's hard to go wrong when your sauce is condensed milk. great way to finish off our meal!! I split everything but the duck entree with someone else so in total, I paid 39.45 without tip which is not cheap for one person, but also considering how much (two appetizers, an entree, and a dessert) and what I ordered it's not bad at all. I was super full by the end and took home leftovers. I'm definitely coming back! Pro tip: check their instagram for food pics

Food was delicious, everything made on time, since this is a pickup only location that is much appreciated.

Is Dear Thai restaurant in Montville,Nj BYOB?

Hello, we are a take out & catering restaurant. No dine-in

Heard a ton of great things about this place but have a peanut, sesame, AND coconut allergy 🤦🏼‍♂️. Does this restaurant use either of those oils in their recipes?

The place is spacious despite it being only for takeout, and it has a nice counter. We called our order and it took them 15 minutes to have it ready, which was much appreciated as we were starving! We got the dumplings, basil fried rice, and drunken noodles - it all came out to $32 which is an incredible price for the amount of food we received! The dumplings were okay, not the greatest I've had but not bad. The basil fried rice and drunken noodles were both good, they have a decent amount of chicken and vegetables, and the spice levels were true to what they said! We ordered the rice as spicy (level 1) and the noodles as very spicy (level 2) and they did not disappoint! It is great to know we have a solid Thai place nearby if we want to switch it up from our regular spot.

Super fragrant, colorful, and bursting with flavor. I love the eggplant and assortment of veggies found in every bite. The chicken and beef were both super tender and well-seasoned. The Jasmine rice is aromatic and paired well with the dish. Overall, I was super satisfied! One of the best Thai spots in the area.

Review is based on delivery on a very cold January night, so can't comment on the restaurant or it's service. We have an assortments of appetizers, the eggrolls, were pretty standardish, the chive pancake was less than good and shumai was hard, but the curry puffs were the bomb! The star of the meal was by far the red curry, I usually add to my comments not to americanize it (as in reduce the heat) but I didn't this time, and the level of heat and flavor was spot on! Withouth this dish my rating would have been a 4, as 4.5 is not an option. We also had the drunken noodle that was really good, though could have used some more kick, luckily we had that red curry magic sauce, to take it a notch up
