It was a combo of black and a nude color. 1. She just used cold water for dipping my nails. That's still okay. 2. Filed and just roughly for namesake did something with cuticle pusher on one hand that's it. 3. Started applying nail paint. Even after showing the picture she didn't understand the colors( black and a nude) . How difficult are the colors to understand?! I understand you might not get exactly what's in the picture but atleast something similar is what I expected! 4.There was a minute heart design n two fingers which is hardly visible. For that she charged me extra $2. Don't mind paying but it should be worth it. When I showed my nails to friends they thought I had experimented with a DIY. Not the worst nail salon we've been to over the years, but they seem to charge a premium free for an amateur job. Both of my daughters got their nails done here yesterday, they are below average from what we've seen from other better nail salons. Yes I understand some of the tech doesn't speak English that well and yet they're trying to understanding as much as they can. They're only here to work and try to help the client look beautiful. Yes some tech might not be your flavor but you know what!!!! there is other tech in the shop might meet up to your expectation. Don't just judge one person and discriminate everyone else too. I can only imagine the poor people who come in here and don't understand the language and how uncomfortable they feel. I give this nail salon a 1 star only because I had to select something. If you're looking to get your eye brows done, this is not the place to go. First the technician didn't ask what I wanted done she just began trying to clean my brows up rather than arching them which is what I wanted. This irritated me seeing as I had already expressed to her to arch them and I expressed that I had not been able to find a good place since I've been here in Arizona. She began saying she knew what I wanted however did not provide this service. If I could rate sub zero, I would. ....ist comes to mind. You fill in the first. Went in for a manicure and pedicure. Nail tech asked me what I wanted. Asked me to pic a color. Prepared the basin for me and she sat down to begin. She asked if the water temperature was fine and I responded yes. As she sat in front of me, a mother and daughter came in. The mother stated her request and was told there would be a short wait but she could pick out her color. The mother/daughter duo began. The mother had a question about color which prompted my nail tech to get up and answer. This Q&A went on so long, the nail tech next to me had to turn off my water to prevent it from over-flowing. She did this for the basin next to me being prepared for the mother. Just then, my nail tech proceeds to the back of the salon to retrieve a towel as the daughter sits at a nail table. My nail tech then sits down with the daughter and leaves me sitting. I asked, "Excuse me. Aren't you going to do my nails?" to which she responds, "Oh, I forgot." I remind her that I am sitting right here. She turns around and then points at a gentleman in the rear and says, "He'll be done soon." Really? I say to her, "No, I'm not going to wait for him, you were doing my nails and ..." I proceed to get up to leave and tell the salon, even the nail techs who have known me for five long years, that I am never coming back. I will never go back. Now, I am going to address the elephant in the room and fortunately, it's not my size. I wonder how many other women have experienced this. When I first walked in and I asked for a full set they persuaded me to do something else that I didn't want to do! Then I asked for white nails and they said no and I said ok light gray and they gave me a really really dark gray! Then I asked for the shape coffin and I got this shape that is like almond but much bigger on the side which I absolutely hate!!! Then they made my fingers bleeding 3 Times and even after they were bleeding they still kept filing my nail that was bleeding!! So my nails are in pain now! First time at Party Nails and the experience sucked. The lady was in a rush to go home so the manicure wasn't good. There were dirt left under my nails that she ignored and she didn't cut my cuticles well either. I had to ask her to cut them. Her polishing could be better, but the worst part was putting the top coat on. She was in such a rush she didn't even paint the top coat fully over my nails. When my nails dried, you could see the lines where the top coat ends. I think her name was Thanh Nguyen. So avoid her please. I also speak Vietnamese and I could understand the lady next to her say my choice in color is ugly. lol. These people are something else. read more

I don't even want to rate this place 1 star!!!!!!! I went in on a whim as I work down the street and will be moving back to the area. I wanted to have a polish change on my toes and a fill with Gel polish. It seemed as though their choice in Gel polish was limited. I found a color closest to what I wanted and started on my toes. Sitting with the nail tech, she seemed to be the "head" tech. My nails are coffin shaped and I know this is very common and popular, but for her (spoke great English), even with pictures, she didn't get it. To me, this was odd, shouldn't they know the common nail shapes and be current on trends? I gave up and needed to move on, I could shape them at home. She started polish and it was as if she had never done this before. It wasn't smooth, she did it too thick and it ended up having wrinkles after being under the light. She blamed the polish and said it was bad to choose another color.. The polish matched my toes ( reg polish).. and now I had to pick something that would match close to my toes. I choose another color and she had to pretty much start over with taking the polish off, I was already there for over an hour already. Bottom line is I left very unsatisfied and if I didn't have a job interview in the morning I would have walked out before finishing, Finding a good nail tech is hard enough, but I have never been so disappointed in a shop. Guess I will be driving from Chandler to Greenway and 9th St because Rachel is amazing and I will stay loyal. read more

My 14 year old daughter just came home so distraught from her recent pedicure. She saved some of her money so she could go get one and spent $28 including the design. I have been here throughout the years and agree with the previous poster that the quality has gone down. I used to get a pedicure and polish that would last for weeks, now the polish is less than desirable and about 1/2 the time I want to remove it as I can do a better job. If I don't remove it, it seems to last about a week in full. I think mostly it is the inability of the techs to do good polish and keep it on the nail and not all over the skin, the rest of the process seems OK. Also, don't pay extra for the design...you may get something acceptable 1 out of 5 times. Anyway, my 14 year old is removing her polish and re-doing as I type. She is so mad she wasted all of her money but was too afraid to go back and tell them the job they did wasn't good. I looked at it and there was polish off the nail and the design was horrible. Certainly someone who cared would do a better job and not let her walk out the door with that. My daughter certainly does a much better job. Neither of us will go back and too bad because this place is so close to our house. read more
