I selected 3 stars for the quality of the food in relation to cost. In addition, some menu items are ridiculously overpriced. I understand that as hotel guests we are also paying for convenience, but that should not compromise on taste. That aside, the gelato is good but portions are small. Service was excellent. I was helped by Amanda who was amazing. She was friendly and patient while I decided on what to order for breakfast. Even in the early morning hours, Amanda had positive energy and a sweet disposition.

Had breakfast for a few days here and I like it. I tried their few menus and my favorite is the chocolate chip and buttermilk pancakes. It's so fluffy and buttery. All the ingredients are fast and taste good. I would say the 7 mile breakfast has a great price for the big portion. Henry is the great server. He's nice, funny, and very tentative. The service is great and quick. The restaurant is clean and quiet. They have indoor and outdoor dining areas. Love the elegant fireplace.

Two visits Appetizers mid day and Breakfast This place actually has decent food! Located at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa. On arrival we decided to get some appetizers . COOPER took great care of us. He was kind and personable. We ordered the THAI CALAMARI - coconut panko, spicy mayo, cilantro, thai slaw WHIPPED FETA DIP -Served with Persian cucumbers, sliced watermelon radish, and warm garlic naan GOCHUJANG CAULIFLOWER -crispy cauliflower, hummus, finished with fresno chiles, cilantro, sesame seeds All the appetizers were delicious! If I were to stay on this property again I would order the Calamari and the whipped feta dip again. Breakfast time! I made reservations through open table. It was busy in the AM. Isabel saw that I was waiting for a while. She was very pleasant, checked me in and our group was immediately seated. I appreciate that. Emily was our server. She was kind and attentive. We ordered the following PARISIAN OMELET - gruyere, mushrooms, spinach, caramelized onions CARLSBAD SCRAMBLE -egg whites, asparagus, bell peppers, goat cheese basil pesto 7 MILE BREAKFAST -two eggs, bacon, sausage, 7 Mile potatoes, toast PROTEIN BOWL -quinoa, avocado, kale, almonds, lemon vinaigrette, basil, feta, poached egg The presentation was nice and the entrees were all great! Hands down the Parisian Omelet was my favorite. You can't go wrong with the hearty 7 mile breakfast. The lighter options would be the Carlsbad Scramble and Protein bowl. Oh and barista Jaslyn made some yummy mocha lattes too!! Overall experiences both times were awesome! Delicious food and great service! Thank you!!!

Prices are expensive as we ordered 2 classic cheeseburgers at $23 each. It comes with fries or tater tots, of which we got one of each. Burgers were tasty and cooked nicely. Staff was friendly but service can be slow. Good thing there is a hotel $15 credit we can use during our stay as it's part of your resort fee. We went to the pool and then ate lunch at this outdoor spot. Casual dining for families.

So we came here and had a good time. The bathrooms are clean. The chicken strips are great. Cassandra with a C is the best employee I've had in a minute. Highly recommend coming.

Ambiance is nice, you almost can see the ocean depending on where you sit. It's by the pool so if people are being loud that's the only negative. Otherwise sit inside. There are outdoor heaters if you go when it's cold and there is a sitting area with a fire pit. The service was cool just wish she would've started with, "we are still serving from our lunch menu and the dinner menu will start in about thirty minutes". Instead when I asked for what I saw on Yelp, she said we don't have it. I then asked so all the stuff I see on Yelp you don't have anymore. She said oh that's on our dinner menu which starts in 30 minutes. I'm like bruh ‍. How was I supposed to know that. Anyways the pretzel itself was ok, the cheese sauce was horrible. The wings could've been cooked a little longer, there was some SnapBack when you pulled the meat and skin from the bone. My steak and broccoli were delicious just wish they could've added some pizazz to the potato. Tasted like a potato with no seasoning. Hubby said his steak was good and so were his fries. Drinks were probably the best thing we had.

I recently visited 7mile Restaurant and had an absolutely fantastic experience, thanks in no small part to the exceptional service provided by Spencer. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel right at home, and Spencer's attention to detail made the meal even more enjoyable. Bring back the gochuchang cauliflower! And the Cheeseburger Pizza!!

This spot is a hidden gem. It's located on hotel property and shares a patio with the hotel's pool. The bar can be casual but the food makes it pretty elevated. Loved the whipped feta dip, burgers and salad. A great spot if you're in the area.

5/11/2026 Got there…read moreearly on a Monday before noon. Only one family and one other person dining there. It was not busy, yet. But after 12:00pm, lines started forming quickly! TANNER'S PRIME BURGER Got it as a double. Burger is a good size and it was very filling! For one person, it is a lot! Better come hungry because it is hard to eat the whole burger when you ate already. Maybe for guys it might be different though. The smashed patties were very juicy and dripping with beef fat! The crisp lettuce, sliced sweet onions and tomatoes helped keep the burger from being too heavy. They also give you a small Cascabella Pepper too. They serve your burger with their bottle of sauces brought together on the side. I liked their hot sauce which tasted like Frank's RedHot. Their main burger sauce was the typical burger sauce you get, kind of reminded you of McD sauce and In N Out sauce without the pickle juice tang. Ordered the Tanner's Prime Burger as a single burger for my mom, but did not try the single burger. But everything looked good! For those who only want more meat and cheese flavor in their burger, order Tanner's Prime Dirty Double. KIDS PRIME SLIDER Got this for my mom, but she did not like it after a bite of it, so I ate most of it. It is a simple slider with a single patty with American cheese on a brioche bun. There's also their own sauce called Tanner Sauce. It is a slider, so it is smaller than Tanner's Prime Burger, but the smashed patty was bigger than the brioche bun, so it was quite filling! Since it was grilled in tallow fat, you can taste it too and it can feel heavy after a few bites. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this. Tanner's Prime Burger is much better with the crisp lettuce, onions and tomatoes to cut the tallow fat. Love that they offer salad too, Tanner's Prime Burger Salad, everything minus the bun. TALLOW FRIES This was crispy and nicely salted. Slightly more saltier than I'd like though. It was good, but wished it was cut thinner, like McD fries. Overall it was good and I ate it with their hot sauce. After eating all this, your hands will smell like tallow. So wash your hands more than once! Wanted to get their beef tallow vanilla ice cream sandwich called Tanner's Fatty Patty, but sadly they did not have any that day. CUSTOMER SERVICE The whole staff was friendly and smiling. Good service overall. SEATS Plenty of seats indoors and outdoors! Sat in the booth and it was very comfy! Two unisex bathrooms available. PARKING It is a small parking lot, but there is street parking too. Overall, I had a good experience, but I will admit that the patties cooked in beef tallow is quite new to my palate. It was a heavy burger for my palate. Tasty, but heavy and healthier, too. I would definitely return when I'm given another chance to come by this way!

Eating at Tanners is usually a real treat. I have celiac disease, and it is medically necessary for…read moreme not to eat gluten. In addition to offering gluten free buns AT NO UPCHARGE, Tanners safety protocol marks gluten free buns automatically as a gluten allergy. I have eaten here several times, and not been sick once. My issue with today's visit stems with our order being to go. The gluten free burger is not marked on the box, and it's not super obvious that the gluten free bun is gluten free. It's a funny complaint, because usually gluten free buns are terrible and obvious, but Tanners are by far the best gluten free buns of any restaurant. When we ordered to go the first time, the fries were included with the regular bun. Unfortunately, that made the fries unsafe for me to eat so my husband had to eat all the fries himself. Tonight we ordered three burgers, 2 regular and 1 gluten free. As we ordered, we requested the fries be included with the gluten free burger. (The 2 regular burgers did not want fries) When we arrived to our destination, the fries were crammed in the same box as the 2 regular burgers. The fries were all over the regular buns... rendering them unsafe for me to eat. I called Tanners to report the issue. The person who answered the phone said because we ordered a gluten free burger, their protocol is that only the gluten free burger can go in the box. Nothing else is allowed in. So I asked "When we ordered the fries and requested they be with the gluten free burger, why were we told 'sure' instead that the fries can't go in the gluten free burger box?" They paused, and answered "I'll tell them this happened." The big problem with this, is the person who answered the phone IS the person who placed our order. The name they said on the phone (Hello this is blah blah) is the name of the server on our receipt. Ordered Thursday 5/21, order 378. I don't take issue with the safety protocol of keeping the gluten free burger separate. I appreciate it! My issue is I made a specific request, was told "sure" instead of "no, because" Had we been told at time of ordering the gluten free has to be completely alone, then we could have requested a separate box. Had the server apologized for the error and taken ownership, I wouldn't be leaving this review. But the person who made the error answered the phone, and this is the only way to hold them accountable. I am not posting their name, but hopefully Tanners can see who it was from the date and order number posted above. I don't enjoy paying for food I can't eat.

Let me start off by saying I initially thought Burger Lounge would be great but heading to the closest In N Out would be just as good and at a fraction of the cost. Luckily for me, my little one refused my attempted coaxing. Our party of three were immediately greeting with a smiling young gentleman standing behind the register. At first glace, the restaurant was massive is size, very spacious, modern, and 100% well kept/tidy. Seating and decor was simple enough but still had a classiness to it. We placed our order with the smiling gentleman [whom I learned was ANDREW]. Dinner consisted of: *KIDS MEAL: Cheeseburger with onions, lettuce, and EXTRA pickles *BACON BLEU BURGER *TRUFFLE-MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER *LARGE HALF & HALF [ tallow fried onion rings + fries] *DRINK Food: I kid you not, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! The order was made beautifully- presented well and cooked flawlessly. A+ for taste and presentation, which I totally didn't expect. Brioche buns were fluffy yet charred just enough on the grill to house all of the ingredients. The patties were flavorful and juicy. The goodness didn't stop there- BD mentioned Burger Lounge's onion rings being the BEST he's ever had!! Quality is absolutely undeniable. Above all, this burger joint runs smoothly thanks to the incredible staff. Each and every person we encountered was kind, polite, and so very eager to help with whatever requests. The only complaint I had was the terrible internet connection. Come here expecting to put your phones/tablets down even if you don't want to. LMAO. 5/5 stars but I'd easily give them so much more. The music was blasting and it was rather dark inside with an interesting crowd. There is a chill vibe here with a small bar area that caters to just a few locals who brought their dogs and even their babies. I could tell that everyone knew each other. When I ordered, Colin tried to upsell me on some chicken nuggets in addition to the burger and fries that I requested. He was a cool guy, but that was a first for me in a burger joint as a native San Diego. Then, I asked for the meal to be packaged to go, and we had some discussion about it, so I was surprised when it was delivered on a tray for here. I got the sense that business was slow here, and that he was trying to bring in some more business. Now for the food... The Classic Hut Burger was more like a smashburger (1/4"), which was a dissapointment. If I would have known that the burger patty would be so small, then I would have ordered the double burger. The fries were similar to shoestring fries, and they were a bit over salted for my taste. Overall, the food was good, but nothing special... This was a one-time visit, but I'm sure if I lived in Encinitas, then I would stop by for a beer and those chicken nuggets that they raved about. This place has so much potential, but it's going to take some serious dedication to making it a special visit for each and every one of their customers, not just the people who live around the corner.

Drink orders arrived fast and our order was taken soon after getting our drinks. I ordered the Tombstone which is their Western cheeseburger, Two 1/4 lb. patties, bacon, grilled onion, cheddar cheese, AHB BBQ Sauce, topped with onion rings on a brioche bun with a side of onion rings. The portions were huge and the burger was cooked perfectly. The onion rings were pretty standard for what you'd expect but were tasty and a big portion. Beer selection was great and we enjoyed our lunch here. Highly recommended!

I was soooo excited about the Philly connection, as I'm very familiar with cheesesteaks having lived near Philly in a past life. Well, I was sorely disappointed. We were told that the bread is flown in daily from Philly. Well, I don't know where it's coming from because it's definitely not the same bread as what they normally use there. The sandwich and meat were dry and flavorless. Totally underwhelming unfortunately. So then we saw that they made key lime pie there too! Again, I was SUPER excited because key lime pie is my favorite dessert of all time. And again...disappointment. I took one glance and saw that it was light green in color and knew I was gonna be mad. Yall, Key lime pie is yellow. You should NEVER add food coloring. That's just gross and inaccurate. The texture and flavor were also off. Texturally it was way too thick and dense, which would have been fine if it actually tasted like key lime. But it was severely lacking in that tart key lime flavor that it's known for. I'd definitely go back because of the service and vibe. But I'll maybe try a burger and the cheesecake instead.
