I always love coming here, i go here a lot and im pretty known by a lot of the staff! Everyone's always super nice and they always have my favorite energy drinks in stock. Me and my friends went into this place and we started looking for chip to see what we can afford, since we are highschoolers we were low on money. My friend asked the manager how much a hot dog and told him nevermind cause he didnt have the money. Now ever a minute later he started yelling at us to get out and that we had been in there for too long (we were in there for 5 mins) yet he didnt yell at the white-looking teens that entered at the same time (we and african american and salvadoran) We talked back and told him we where looking and its a store and the point is to look around. He told us to not be smart and he had worked there for 40 years. And again he didnt say anything to the white-looking teens. Nowhere in any 7 eleven I have seen worst customer serv rep than here at this location(my neighborhood). On 12th feb chilly cold morning at 930 am im here for a cupa coffee. Forgot to bring cash, i take out my card to swipe it and the cashier, an older man, snatches my coffee and immediately dumps into the nearby trash can saying ONLY CASH FOR A COFFEE OK. What a rude piece of crap he is that he trashed my morning coffee. Its sad he treated me as though i was a shoplifter. i've only come here for one thing twice and it was condoms and it seemed just as fine a place as any to get them. Not a great deal. And they only sell in 3 packs so not really a place to "stock up", but if you're like me you'll get them, be extremely disappointed, give up on dating and still have at least 1 extra to use in the very distant future, if at all. It's right on the corner but the minimal parking they have is p tight... especially if you're next to a leisurely parker who doesn't realize there's other people on earth, too. the working the front seemed fine. 7-11s have improved over the years. They have fresh packaged fruit salad and other salads, packaged sushi, better packaged sandwiches, bananas, two kinds of hot chocolate.... This looks like a family-run place; sometimes a child or two plays behind the counter, near the "Barely Legal" magazines that they also place behind the counter! Service is fast and friendly. The goods here are excellent and you can definitely satiate your munchies or late night cravings with a variety of tasty treats like nachos, hotdogs, and Slurpees at a reasonable price. I love 7-Eleven stores, but it's very hard for me to rate this specific location with more than 2 stars, mainly because the guy behind the counter is a real D***head. I came in during free coffee week (with App), and he gave me lots of attitude for getting an XL cup, because he claimed that it applies on medium sizes only. Worst experience of my life. I pulled in to grab a drink a few days ago and while in my car I was pulling up the waze app to GPS my next location. The parking lot is extremely small so I planned to get in and out... I was parked for about 3mins when the employee came out and asked me to move. I explained to him that I was coming in shortly and that I was looking something up on my phone. He begins yelling at me that someone is waiting. I told him that he was being rude and he walked away. 30 secs later, The car to my left pulled out and a lady pulls in. She jumps out the car and starts hurling racist insults because I didn't move for her. I was totally shocked and disgusted. At this point I could not believe my eyes. I sat there debating if I should go inside and spend my $$ after this and the lady comes out and yells some more. She also said she wishes she had a gun because my ppl deserve to die. The owner of 711 comes out again and they are all yelling for me to leave. I could NOT believe this!! My money is just as good as hers, I was not there any more than 10mins at this point and they treated me like a homeless loiterer. Three stars for not having a good beer selection, but they get an extra star because of the staff. They are all nice and friendly. One day I had a Slurpee craving for a specific flavor..... It wasn't coming out right. They told me they had just refilled that flavor and I could come back in 15 minutes, or get another flavor. They always have milk, chocolate, lotto tix and the newspaper. They got away the first time when I bought 4 packs of Camels for full price when they should've been $3.99/each if you buy 2. They tried to do it again another time but I said something and then they played it off by looking at the price tag on the shelf behind them as if they didn't know. The man working there at noon today, was rude, dismissive and irritated because I gave the store service a compliment. I simply mentioned that the co-op ATM didn't charge me. He was cleaning the counter and claimed I should only talk to him if I had something important to say, then he would respond and that he was busy. I turned and walked out. When I was in the parking lot, he ran to the door and yelled, "don't ever come back to this store again". Maybe he has a short man syndrome. But my recommendation is to NOT go there if he's in there. My I-phone was ripped off this morning at approx 3;10 a.m. at the 7 Eleven at 3500 Grand Ave in Oakland (store #14174). I reached around a cleaning person to retrieve some Muscle Milk in the cooler. I had to reach around him because he was blockng the cooler & made no effort to move. The janitor actually didn't appear to be cleaning anything at all! When I reached around his bucket and mop, etc, my pocket was exposed and the guy snached my phone! When I got home (5 minutes away) I realized my phone was gone so I called my lost phone from my landline. A guy answered, I explained the sitch and he actually told me he had left the location where I lost my phone. I went back to the store asap and there he was, still there. I asked the guy about the phone and he shook his head "no" to me. I persisted and did get my phone back. Beware if you shop there. They are thieves. The guy really appeared to be a pro. The guy behind the counter was in on it! WATCH YOUR BACK IF YOU GO THERE. I won't be going there anymore, spendng my hard earned bucks.
