Nothing better than a nice cold smoothie on a hot day!! I came here after a late morning run, just when it was starting to heat up. I think a lot of people had the same idea on that hot Saturday, because there were lots of people coming and going as I drove up! The parking lot is a little cramped, but the service was fast and friendly. I went with the Apples n Greens, and they had shaded tables outside so I kicked back and enjoyed my smoothie there!! After a dental appointment I was restricted to cold soft food so I stopped by the Rockridge location. It's been a long while since my last visit, the wait person suggested downloaded their app then place my order. By doing so, I got a big discount on my drink. My go to drink is the Caribbean Passion. It's as good as I had remembered. The wait people were extra nice and informative. I have subsequently visited again. The experience was consistently good as well as their smoothies. read more

Oh Jamba, what would I do without you?! I absolute adore this Jamba Juice location! Not only are the employees super sweet, but the drinks have always been consistent. Also, this is the only location that I've been to that actually has White Gummy Bear listed on the menu. If you didn't already know, White Gummy and I go waaaay back. It's my favorite Jamba smoothie flavor of all time and I just can't seem to get enough of it. They whip is up perfectly here! This location is tiny and doesn't have any seating inside, but they do have outdoor seating which is perfect for those warm and sunny days. They share a parking lot with several other businesses in the Ridge shopping center, but I've always found it easy to find a parking spot. They often run special promotions on Yelp like giving a $1 off your smoothie when you check in. Haven't tried any food items at this location, but they keep the usual suspects in stock. They also offer açaí bowls. They keep the interior space pretty spotless and I've never had to wait long to receive my drinks. Really happy to this location nearby to satisfy my smoothie cravings when I get them. read more

It was time for me to get my freebie - a large mango-a-go-go. Ambiance: Space wise, this Jamba Juice is small compared to other Jamba Juices that I have patronized. There's no indoor seating; however, they have outdoor seating in the front of the business. Menu board is on the wall and is also displayed once a person enters the premises. Self-serve refrigerated case with a variety of cold pressed juices, bottled water, organic non-fat milk. Display case filled with huge pretzels and other baked goods. Employees: two young men; one taking orders, the other preparing the smoothies. Both friendly and helpful. Cleanliness: Grade A. No sticky floors. No litter lying around. Eats/beverages: Steel cut oatmeal, energy bowls (fruits, berries, yogurt, soy milk, topped with granola, honey), breakfast wraps, toasted bistro sandwiches, artisan breads; assorted smoothies - classic, fruit & veggies, creamy treat, specialty; and fresh squeezed juices. This is my local Jamba Juice and go-to for my picky eater's vegetable smoothie needs on days when I'm in a hurry (or unmotivated) and can't make her one myself. Since I make it a point to give her 1 smoothie a day for her daily dose of greens, this usually means a trip to the Jamba Juice up to 3x a week. As with other Jamba Juices, most of the ingredients aside from the kale seem to be previously frozen so its not 100% "fresh." But it is ALL real fruit & vegetables sans preservatives. They are always willing to pour some of your drink into one or two mini cups with lids and straws for the kiddos. The service here is friendly, reliable, and efficient. read more

Yelp is a funny thing... with some places, like mom & pop operations, every detail matters. With others, like the big chains, one usually enters into the establishment with some sort of expectations about the upcoming experience. Personally, I find such chains a little harder to review, because the factors that go into the experience extend far beyond the people who were in the building at the time of my visit. It can get a little silly -- I once saw a customer take a complaint all the way to the home office (and she attempted to take it to the CEO...) because she saw an employee wearing some sort of band pin, and she had heard that some political candidate liked the band. While her sentiments may have come from a legitimate place, I cannot fathom how the sight of that pin could have changed the taste of her food or the friendliness of the employee. That sounds like a rant, but it's just me admitting that sometimes employees in entry-level positions are not perfect. And for minimum wage, I think if someone expects 100% perfection 100% of the time, that person is nuts. I have seen people with doctorates from Ivy League schools who pull six figures a year make mistakes, so I am not going to be the jerk who cannot accept them from the smoothie shop crew. I have ordered smoothies several times from this location since my original review and I am pretty sure most have had mistakes, including the two I mobile ordered today. But I don't care. I have a true and honest respect for this location now. Why? Cañada Davis. He is the current store manager and he is the dream machine! I posted my review on a Thursday night, I think. By Friday morning, he had already called me to follow up. Right there, that's a big plus. But that's not really what impressed me. Most managers do have to learn to take their blows. What impressed me what his earnest concern about my experiences and my input on the differences between the customer-vs.-the-team-member experiences. He convinced me to update the app, which also helped me understand how the ingredients (and I think possibly the process, as well), has changed since I was a team member, so he also deflated my ego in a way that was really positive and not in the least demeaning game. I don't know if you, the reader, have ever worked any type of food-service job. But, in my experience, much more so than other industries, the manager shapes the actual quality of the store. Are the ingredients actually fresh and do employees actually do the required safety checks? If you think the law is protecting you, you are wrong. It is superstar managers who care about doing their jobs well and helping their teams do their best. I am way more likely to return to a business that frequently makes mistakes if I think they are run with integrity than one that say gets my orders correct, but then I notice all the bathroom logs are written in the same color ink with the same amount of smudge and fade... (Bathroom thing did not happen at Jamba. Never noticed their restrooms because they are only a hop-skip-and-a-jump from my home restroom, which is obviously my first choice.) Anyways, that was legit TL;DR Point being: as long as Mr. Davis is behind the helm, I will keep giving this location money to blend into juice. ------ * Orders always made incorrectly, even when there are no mods to drinks. * They take forever, even when they're empty * Awful service. I had a free small smoothie for being a Jamba Juice member. Even though it's been super cold these past few days, I wanted to use my birthday voucher. The new building (same location as before just remodeled) is rather small but there isn't much of a wait so thats ok. The staff was friendly and guided me on the process of using my voucher. If you're a Jamba member you can enter your telephone number on the electronic device in front of the cash register and all your free treats will be there. If you have no freebies you should still punch in your mobile number to rack up in points when you make a purchase. I tried something new. A food item. It was the cheddar tomato roll thingy. I was starving and needed a snack. It was mediocre but I wasn't expecting something grand either. It was edible. I probably won't order it again but I never really get food from Jamba anyway. I visit this Jamba Juice about 5 times a week. It's typically an uneventful visit and most of the employees are clean and courteous. Smoothies themselves can be a hit or miss, but this location is right on the way to work and has my favorite flavor :) Today, an employee named Kenyatta was on his phone texting when I entered. I greeted him and he did not address me for 2 minutes. He took my order, while intermittently texting, making me late for work. Would you want a drink at a highly overrated place, or at the most magnificent smoothie chain that had ever existed? If I were you, I'd go for Jamba Juice. Jamba Juice will always be superior and have a place in my heart. There's an AAA (Triple A) next door to this place. My dad would usually come to this spot only for the Triple A but he knows that whenever he drags me along that I would absolutely order Jamba Juice from here. If I remember correctly, I've been to this one in particular at least 4 times in my life. No, I don't live around this area since I live in deep East Oakland. Hah. Customer service is always great whenever you walk in. Lines are short as it seems if it's a weekday. My dad would give me $10 just in case I'm feelin' expensive on that day when it comes to ordering a smoothie of my choice. I would be standing there, ten bucks in hand as I look around at the decor and the items that were being put on display besides the menu. Really clean building. Love the good vibes that I was getting too. You even get to look at the workers making your smoothie and crafting other people's orders. It's really neat. My go-to smoothie of all time is the Mango-A-Go-Go. I can never get enough of it. It's so good. A smoothie that's made out of heaps of mangoes and passion fruit/mango juice topped off with pineapple sherbet to make your dreams come true. RIP my social life. Today I started my GRE class, with plans to take the test in the middle of March. I'm also a full-time grad student, training for a marathon, clearing my credential through the time-waster known as BTSA (thanks NCLB), and oh yeah, I'm a teacher. Why yes, I would like some cheese with my whine, thank you kindly for asking. I finished the class and as I was mourning the loss of free time and sleep, I decided I needed one final indulgence: a delicious green tea smoothie from JJ. I KNOW better than to go to this one, but hell it was on my way home so convenience won out. Convenience. Hee hee, how amusing! I entered the store at 3:15. And waited. 15 minutes later, I finally arrived at the register to order my drink. That should have been the clue to run away. Either that, or the ineptitude of the guy working at the register. Know your menu, folks. It's not hard. It's the only green tea smoothie up there. I spaced out for awhile, until another patron comes up to me and says, "You realize that the last four people to get their drinks came in after you, right?" I checked my phone. 3:55 pm. WHAT THE HELL. I looked around, and she was right: a couple of us had clearly been passed up. I went to talk to the manager, and all she could tell me was "Oh we're super busy, so people don't always get served in order." Um, what? Thanks for the apology. After waiting for another five minutes, I finally go up to ask the smoothie-making dudes what the deal is. After giving them my name, explaining that I have been waiting for half an hour, and then telling them my order, all I got were blank looks. They had misplaced my order, as well as the orders of a number of people following me. Super. 45 minutes for a smoothie. JJ, I love you, but the lack of organization and utter disregard for customer service at your Rockridge location is appalling. For the earlier part of my life, I never was that interested in fruit smoothies. I always passed a Jamba Juice but was never tempted to actually go inside. My wife started getting smoothies at Jamba Juice and one time I had a taste.....Yum! Sooo good! After that first sip, I had her order me one the next time (Pomegranate Paradise is my drink of choice) and after that I was hooked. We've made about 25 trips to the Rockridge Jamba Juice and every time its a pleasant experience. Yes, this particular location gets really busy at certain times of the day, but I've never had to wait 30 minutes like others posted here. The longest I've waited is 10 minutes and that was when it was super busy. Most of the staff is friendly and work fast. One employee in particular, Brianna, is especially awesome! She amazingly remembers my wife, my daughter, and myself by name even after we hadn't come in for 30 days. She always asks about my wife and daughter and always has a big smile. One thing that boggles my mind is that she even remembers my drink and exactly how I want it. Great customer service. The owner is at the store working about 50% of the times I go in. Owner: If you are listening, you need to promote Brianna or give her a fat raise. She is a big asset to your operation. Tucked deep in a corner at a decades-old shopping plaza, this Jamba Juice turns out the same high calorie "health" food as all the others. Came here for a quick post-hike from the gym and we were helped quick. This location is smaller than usual, as in there were no tables inside to eat or drink. There were tables outside to enjoy your drink. We both ordered the acai bowl with no coconut and it was delicious. We loved it and will order it again soon. The service was great and we did not have to wait long. There is a parking lot for this, but it is shared with AAA and starbucks. read more

Came in on a rainy day ordered my oatmeal and a small orange carrot juice asked Mat nicely if he could make it over with a little less orange juice and a little more carrot juice since he added more orange than carrot juice and he made me feel like It was a hassle gave me a little attitude and told me "next time tell us before you order" and once he made it he didn't even fill my small cup it was almost half full I didn't know the money spent came out of your pay check Mat I will be sure to let all my coworkers at the hospital near by know what horrible service I was given so they don't waist there time or money here. Regular jamba juice. I normally dont go to a Jamba Juice, but I was really in the mood for a sweet smoothie today, regardless of the semi cold weather. Disappointed when I walked in. The atmosphere of this Jamba Juice almost seemed dark and dim, unwelcoming. I didnt like the low-voiced soft spoken employees. Didnt feel very welcoming or even a smile. I know you might not like your job, but customers are customers. :/ Anyways, I ordered a Peach Pleasure cause I wanted something sweet, big problem, I didnt get my sweet tooth craving. My drink barely tasted of anything. Just a slight peach taste and it wasnt sweet at all. I guess it was just a Peach Bland with no flavor. Glad they put a JJ here! It's located between Starbucks and AAA, not attached to the Safeway or the Chase bank. Slightly hidden, depending on which way you're coming from. If you're looking at Safeway's store entrance, it's to your right. They have all the regular items, and the secret menu items too. My favorite is the White Gummy Bear. This location is on the smaller side. Not much room to stand and wait inside for your order. They crank them out pretty quick, so it doesn't seem to be an issue. There is outdoor seating. Maybe 3-4 tables. Plenty of free parking in the shared lot. read more

Can't say that I was too impressed with this place. I'm lucky the time I stepped in, for after I ordered two or three groups of people showed up. I ordered a sixteen Mango a go-go made thick and an apple cinnimon pretzel. Not every JJ is trained to do this apparently, for although it wasn't horrible, I got mine after some of the people who arrived after me. The pretzel was stale as well, as if it had been there for a while. Wasn't pleasant to eat at all. I can't recall if they had an open fridge, so I do not know if they have the sandwhiches, fruits and salads that some other Jamba Juice's have. The parking structure is kind of awkward as well. It is a shared lot in a shopping center, but two way, so the way I came I had to go down two rows to come back to the parking facing the store, because the parking in those rows elsewhere were full. This Jamba Juice is conveniently located in a shopping plaza that has a lot of parking spaces which I definitely appreciated! I was on a Jamba Juice mission today during lunch and went to the 12th street location which had no parking available whatsoever.. So, I mapped out the next nearest JJ to my work and went to the Broadway location. The store appears to be clean and the staff are friendly. I believe their moving to another location across the parking lot into a newer building (it looks really nice from the outside). I got the Pumpkin Smash smoothie (light) and it was beyond delicious! For all you pumpkin lovers out there, go and try this smoothie before the holiday seasonal flavors are over. I noticed that this JJ didn't have the sizes with "sixteen" and "power"; instead, they now use small, medium, large. I don't know if this was a corporate change but I'm kind of glad they did it because I'm sure it confused a lot of people. And you have to order a tall, grande, and venti from Starbucks, haha! I travel a lot, so I visit Jambas all over the Bay Area and beyond. This one is hands down the best. They use larger scoops than the other Jambas I visit...they are fast, friendly, and there is always one or more people there who know what they are doing, which doesn't happen elsewhere. Nobody is lazy here and it's clean. One time I drove off with the smoothie on top of my car and, of course, it fell off. They wouldn't let me pay for the replacement. SO NICE.
