Great cheap sandwiches, but long lines during lunch. I do wish the bread could be more fresh because they prep the sandwiches and put them in the fridge. Then add toppings to order, such as lettuce tomato etc.

The cleanest location and friendliest staff I have been to and I'm not too proud to say I've probably been to 711 7-11's.

Seven Seas Roasting - Iced Thin Mint Latte! seasonal special!

I ordered the Honey Cinnamon Latte (espresso, fresh honey, and cinnamon). 10/10 as this is well balanced with quality espresso. The drink itself is delicious, but not sure if I would come every week for this price (personally). Maybe just once in a while! The interior space got revamped so that the workers have more wiggle room, that was cool to see. I didn't see much else that changed though-- oh besides that and the prices. The week before, I ordered the $7.25 Iced Blood Orange Basil Latte (seasonal special). I was eager to try it because I do enjoy citrus notes with my coffee. But this one lacked the flavors I was hoping to taste. It was all too subtle for me. I wouldn't order it again, but it was nice to try. 4-5 stars! Overall, I've enjoyed my many visits to 7 Seas Roasting & been here through many changes. I do think the coffee drinks are pretty solid and would recommend checking out their seasonal specials when they have them. My top favorites would be: dark mocha raspberry, banana split latte, and the thin mint latte. If you ever see these on the menu, I highly recommend trying them! They have ample seating, outdoors only. The baristas are alll very kind too. It's a great place to spend your time at.

I tried their empanadas -- they're on the smaller side, but warm, flaky, and really flavorful. The cold brew was strong, and the mint coffee with the soft top was amazing. I really loved the mint flavor. Definitely coming back.

I thought they were maybe danish or croissants and then I was told no what we sell is empanadas. Bacon, ham, sausage and I remember thinking, I have never thought of having an empanada for breakfast or lunch. So yesterday, my curiosity got the best of me and I went in after my walk and bought some. All the flavors that I wanted had been sold out and are sold out every day before 10 AM. OK, reboot. I talked to the lovely lovely women behind the counter and then I think the manager or the owner came up to me and said we can sell them to you frozen and you can heat them up at home. So we did for appetizers last night. OMG! They were without a doubt the best new appetizer we have ever had, we could only eat between us three maybe two, but they were so full of flavor and cheese and a little egg and the meats. It's in a little mall next to VG so easy to find a lot of parking on the street and their lot, the service is nothing but smiles and how can I help? This is a rad place and by the way, the coffee is outstanding.

I do my best to find places that have menu items in place that work already. In this case, I was visiting the area briefly and spotted this local favorite. Great find! Kick-ass staff working their butts off to get food out fast and to order, decent seating, good food and coffee that was a treat! I started across the street at this venue's roasting house because their locale looked nicer, more spacious, further from the road, but their breakfast menu is different. Rather than asking for special treatment there, I walked across the street to the corner café. The only change-up I had to make was swapping out bread for GF. No problem whatsoever. Was going to read, but locals were friendly and social, fine by me. Learned about the area over breakfast, got a little peaceful reading in over the last of my coffee, and now I'm off to adventure as recommended by locals I met here. Though they weren't chatty (No shade! Fine! They're at work!), I can't commend the staff here enough. Tip well. Tip often.

A bonus: a view of the Cardiff surfer and ocean right down the street. On a Monday morning, the cafe had a steady stream of customers but was not overflowing or overstimulating as other guests have noted. We are decaf mocha snobs and enjoy trying new independent coffee shops on our travels. In addition to the setting, we would rank the beauty of our mochas right up there with the best of the best. Hats off to the talent of the baristas. Now for the real test: taste. On this important feature, we would only give our mochas 3-stars. The flavor was bland and watered down. Not really chocolaty nor espresso-ish. My husband, an ex-barista, felt the shots were pulled too quickly and thus did not have a robust flavor. The chocolate was not super sweet, which we appreciated. It was, however, lacking in that dark chocolate taste that's so important in high quality mochas. The staff were efficient but not at all engaging. They chatted with each other but not customers. This seemingly small factor makes a big difference in the experience for guests. We didn't try a pastry though the limited selection looked yummy. This shop also sells Zumbar roasted beans, a nice perk. Rose Hill Purveyors is worth a visit for the experience alone. Maybe other coffee drinks will be more to your liking.
