Personally, I have no interest in returning to the store. However, I was asked to bring awareness regarding men urinating behind the 7/11 stores. I fully understand the zero bathroom policy; however, paying customers are forced to urinate behind your store. human beings, tourist and visitors, are denied basic human right to use bathroom while others are allowed. I have a particular love for 7-Elevens. In high school and college, it was the only place open at 2:00 a.m. in my hometown, so where else would I get sodas and gummy bears? This 7-11 is not extraordinary, but it is convenient and necessary like all the others. It's in a very prime location, and I often come here during work for snacks and drinks. They also have a pretty impressive beer selection for a convenience store. The prices aren't even marked up that much. Everything in all convenience stores are marked up for the convenience factor, but the beers here really are not bad at all. Nice 7-Eleven near Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Clean with friendly employees. Best of all, manager/owner Bobby was at the Encinitas City Council meeting where the fate of the Surfing Madonna public art was being discussed. Bobby was the next to the last public speaker and he offered a side wall of his 7-Eleven which has a faded picture of dolphins on it as a spot for the Surfing Madonna to be safely relocated. He told me after the Council meeting, perhaps the 7-Eleven Corp. might even help defray some of the relocation costs for the beloved Madonna. The most important thing is that this spot near Moonlight Beach ensures a safe spot with public viewing privileges on private property. I will buy all my Slurpees and bags of Sun Chips at this 7-Eleven for the gracious offer of Bobby and the hopeful transition of this beautifully-inspiring work of art that will now hopefully have a permanent home near the ocean that She wants to Save! read more

First and foremost, it's completely ridiculous that there isn't a larger sign for the Encinitas Blvd exit south on the I-5. It's just a little orange construction sign that meekly announces the most highly trafficked exit in north county. I've missed this exit several times, and only partly because I looked down to comment "looking good king" on a friend's IG story. The Vulcan ave exit is only a little farther but still a minor inconvenience for me personally. Anyway here's my take on this 7-Eleven: -10 stars for not having America's best gas station snack (sabritas fiesta mix). This is unforgivable. + 3 stars for having ice cream. +11 stars for playing opera music so loudly on the outside of the store that it startles people as they get out of their cars. Finally, City Tacos is good, possibly better than the taco stand. Better tacos, but my preferred method of delivery re: Mexican food is the venerable burrito. RIP Rumsfeld (rest in piss). read more

Almost got HARDCORE scammed by this 7-11. Bought eyedrops for my lenses listed at 2.99- was rung up at 5.99. Had to go back, show the receipts, get a full refund, and do a stupid amount of work. Steve and I went for a quick lunchtime run during which I kept thinking the eternal indecision of "What's for lunch? I need something quick. Dangit, why did I agree to this run!" GRRRRRR hahah I was in a pinch since I didn't have much time nor cash on me. Steve offers to float me lunch, then it struck me: we're going to 7-11? Say what? A $5 lunch special at 7-11? Any sandwich and Big Gulp for $5?! Steve? Lunch Deal? Well, it works. I got my Cherry Coke Big Gulp and Poor Boy Sub (with thousand island dressing, bologna, spiced luncheon loaf, cotto salami and dill pickles) - so it says on the label. Mind you this sub was premade and wrapped in the scary celophane. Don't fret, I'm not comparing this deal to Subway's $5 deal, which is far superior. My point is that 7-11 does surprise you sometimes - especially when you're in a pinch. Oh, and how was my sub? So yeah, I was satisfied, but forgettable. My Cherry Coke Big Gulp - though great! Yep, that's right people, I am yelping 7-Eleven. I have surfed the entire internet and this is all I have left to do . . . Ok, so I am only yelping this 7-Eleven because this is a great place for train beers. If you don't know what a train beer is, its a beer you buy right before the Coaster comes and then you enjoy it on the ride to San Diego. You would never expect it, but this 7-Eleven has a good selection of craft beers. I recently picked up a Chipotle Stout from Rogue. Yum. The downside is that they don't sell bottle openers here so be sure to bring on with you if you're coming in for train beers! read more

This location charges you to use a card at the cash register. Regardless of whether it is a debit or credit card you are still charged an additional fee to use a card. I would suggest finding a different 711 that does not have this asinine fee. read more

Came here on a Saturday morning. I was in my work truck and there were no parking spots open. So I parked where I've parked hundreds of times before. Big trucks park there to along the sidewalk parking lot side. Candy comes running out screaming telling me to get out of her and I can't park there. She was so rude and disrespectful. Mind you a big truck was parked where I parked minutes before and I was waiting for them to leave. I went in to buy coffee and she lost it. Followed me to my truck having a fit. I got off the Metrolink and one block away is this 7-11. They have exceptional, attentive employees from Isa at the register-- to the nice lady doing stocking that was very customer service oriented. I was pleased how clean the store was and they are so close to the train, easy walk even for someone with severe arthritis. ISA (sp?) really was efficient at getting people through the line and he was alone at the Register. He went the extra mile to help me (watched my phone and notebook) and purchases as I went outside to wait for the Cab and get a smoke. Great assortment of snacks and packaged sandwiches to purchase for lunch. ATM available in side. Great selection of wine/beer. Who would think I would write a Review for a 7-11??? but they deserve it! Management should be proud. I've never been insulted so badly than by the lady employee there. I was parked for about 4 minutes waiting for my friend to arrive so we can walk in and buy some beers there, when the employee walks out, already pissed at me for being parked there for 4 minutes. I calmly told her I was going to purchase beers from her when she got even more upset. She publicly berated me, embarrassed me, and then when I calmly asked her not to talk to me that way, she legit squared off with me, looking like she wanted to hit me. She threatened to call the tow truck, which I saw her call on someone else about ten minutes later. She didn't calmly ask me to leave, or even ask me if I had any intention to buy, she just came out swinging. I've never seen such bad and unstable customer service in my life. Went here after getting accused of shoplifting at the one on San Elijo. The guy at this one then tries to kick me out for my service dog not having a vest (not a real thing btw, he should read the ADA guidelines on that before harassing disabled people. After explaining that we'd been harassed at the previous store for "shoplifting" he freaked out, pulled out a taser and threatened us with it. Horrible, horrible experience. Ruined my night and made sure I went to bed hungry. Great read more
