My mom and I came here for breakfast last week. It's a decent place. Food was good. The girl was a good server. Our only thing was that this place was so cold it was uncomfortable.

This cozy restaurant/bar has decent breakfast fare. I enjoyed having the three french toast breakfast with eggs bacon and fruit. The service was decent and I had the coffee refilled. Overall decent place for a quick breakfast.

Pot roast sandwich was good. Sorry--I ate all my onion rings before I took a picture.

Came to this cafe, which is directly across the street from St. Joseph's hospital, to grab lunch. The parking lot in front is tight, but there is a sign saying there is more parking in the back. It's a cute little mom and pop place with a couple of tables for larger groups, and a couple of rows of booths. You can also sit at the counter. They have paintings by local artists that you can purchase, and a little shop (kind of just a big alcove) off to the side with some cute clothes, shoes, and purses. There is a jazz theme, with a collection of musical instruments used as decor. The people who work there were very nice. I did not order ahead, but it took less than 10 minutes to get my lunch. I ordered the pot roast sandwich with onion rings. By the time I got back to the hospital with my lunch, everything was kind of room temperature, but still good. The onion rings were breaded in the crumb kind of breading, rather than the tempura-style batter. They were good. My sandwich was huge--a hoagie roll with shredded beef in brown beef gravy, with lettuce and tomato on the side. It was also good, and enough food to carry over into dinner. Overall it was a pretty good lunch. It is a decent option if you need to be at St Joseph's and just can't have one more hospital cafeteria meal.

This was a super cute hole-in-the-wall diner and I really wanted to like it. The jazz music and cozy interior was really welcoming, and there was ample seating when we went on a Friday at 9AM. However, that's about as much allure as this place has to it. We were directed to sit wherever we wanted, so we picked one of many open, clean booths. It took maybe 10 minutes for us to even get a menu and initial drink order in (including for just water). We ordered: top of the morning omelette w/ sourdough and crispy hashbrowns, a smaller portion w/ chicken and eggs sunny side up, an avocado toast (special), and a caramel coffee latte. Listen. I get that we are in the desert--I really do!--but why was the food here SO DRY?!? The bread for the toast was clearly dry, and it tasted nothing like sourdough. My omelette was dry. The chicken filet my friend had looked like chicken jerky. And of all the things avocado toast can be...the one at 5th Avenue Cafe ended up being bland and underwhelming. If only we had a solid latte to wash down the disappointment. Unfortunately, the latte took 40 minutes to arrive at our table, and it wasn't until we were done eating. As I write this, we finally received our check. We have been done eating for 20 minutes now. In total, we have been stuck in this cafe for about 90 minutes. 2 stars for the cutesy decor and warm vibes--it's an okay spot if you have all day to waste away in a cafe, and if you are eating just to eat (not for enjoyment).

Started by opening my bag to find a dirty napkin, yuck. Asked for cheese and onion in my eggs, got them dry. Small portion. Then I asked for salt and she wouldn't give me anymore than when came in the utensils, small thing but the bland food could've used it. Also updated menu upload as the prices are definitely higher than the old ones that have been previously posted.

It's advertised as Biscuits and Gravy.

The environment is great. Clean and inviting. Unfortunately the Biscuits and gravy are scary bad. You can make your own by purchasing a bag of precooked Biscuits from a gas station and a packet of gravy mix, then take the gravy packet to the restroom and mix a little warm tap water in.

Had some out of town family staying nearby this place and wanted to get together for breakfast before they left, so we picked this place as it had decent reviews..... Fun atmosphere, VERY good service and the Food was too! I had the special, Chorizo Crepes, something that you would not normally think of doing, but it was excellent. And the 'regular fare' did not disappoint either. They even has raisin bread, which I had not had in a LONG time!! Stop by if you are anywhere near here!!!

Fairly good sized place that appeared clean. Upon entering, i was immediately greeted by the staff. It was still early (only 1/2 hour after opening for the day) so the place was not packed, but did start to fill up after about 8:30 AM. Our waitress was fairly attentive and took our orders. I opted for the vegetable omelet w/cottage cheese as my side and sourdough toast. They food was prepared fairly quickly. It was a good size portion and judging by my other friends' plates, you won't go away hungry. Generally, the staff is friendly and courteous.

Came in for the first time today to meet a new colleague for food. There's ample parking in back. It's a quaint restaurant & the music playing in the background is relaxing. Kind of like a low key soundtrack for life. LOL. I was able to grab a booth & then waited for my colleague & her hubby to join me. I ordered chicken chilaquiles with an extra egg since it "only" comes with 2. My dining companions ordered the French toast & a burrito of some sort. I forgot which one. It seemed like ages for our food to come. Like seriously, a long time for our food. I don't know if it was my food or theirs but it did seem as though a few people who were seated after us got their food before us. Maybe I'm wrong, but it was a while, I know for sure. The food arrived & it took a few times for the syrup to be requested for it to be delivered. Seemed odd since it's a standard French toast & the syrup should have come out before or at the same time. I won't speak to their food beyond the syrup because I forget to ask but I can speak to what I ordered. The eggs were scrambled a bit harder than I would have liked. Their wasn't as much cheese as I had hoped. Those things aside the verde sauce was good, a little baby kick but good. I did enjoy this dish & would come back & order it again. I'd probably be mindful & ask for the eggs to be cooked a little less hard & more cheese. I would say go on down & check it out.

Jazz motif still strong, spund systew upgraded, music more contemporary, food and prices good indeed.

Errol and Dawn White shifted Upton's/5th Ave to the jazz format. When Anna took over, she kept the menu, and added specialties rooted in foods from the Southern Americas. Her roots are Peruvian, her training classical, and she's the Sunday Chef. Anna and family upgraded the sound system, upgraded to a more contemporary jazz, rehung the posters and art while bringing more of their sensibilities. Food is very good, pricing is excellent.

That said, my experiences with service have been inconsistent. My husband and I came in for breakfast one morning and, while the server seemed to be doing his best, he appeared overwhelmed and possibly understaffed. It took quite a while before we were greeted, and service throughout the meal felt slow as he juggled multiple tables. On a separate visit, I ordered takeout. Unfortunately, the hostess who greeted me wasn't very welcoming, and there was another noticeable wait before my food was ready. The pricing is a bit on the higher side, but I will say the burger itself was excellent--great flavor, a nice char, and a generous portion of fries. Overall, this place has a lot of potential given its atmosphere and food quality, but improving customer service--especially front-of-house friendliness and efficiency--would make a big difference. If you're already staying at the hotel, it's worth checking out, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to return.

The staff was rather quiet and dull. No one really interacted with us. We said less than 3-4 full sentences with the server. The food was good. We got the bread board. The fig jam is incredible. The salmon with zater seasoning tastes blackened but the citrus bourbon glaze made the dish. The risotto was the best dish! It would be better if the carrots and asparagus were chopped up and in the risotto. The risotto was so flavorful. Shrimp was good but please take off the salad garnish because it has no dressing and just felt like it was there to fill the bowl, but we would order it again! I would come back but it wouldn't be a staple. The food was great but there was no experience for this price.

The bartenders are amazing however we are sad our normal peeps have left. Tonight Sean KILLED it with us and so glad he was still there since first meeting him on Halloween. Honestly the reason for 4 stars is the fact the drunken wifey is gone and the 3% credit card fee. We have been coming here for a little over 5 years and never had to pay that. Wild change and slightly bs. You already charge a lot for food and drinks (increases over the years are noticeable with management changes) but when you always have a rather large bill usually $700-sometimes over $1000 depending on the kind of evening we're having it is going to be very noticeable. A change like that needs to be more obvious, minus a little print at the bottom of the menu. No one even noticed (since we really didn't need the menu to order) nor did our server. It truly makes me want to give you a three star but I can't discredit the hard working staff and people in the kitchen, as it is clearly the change of new management and the "rebuild" from the beginning of the year. It speaks volumes to a group that has been dedicated to the Americano since March of 2020 and now makes us wonder if it's time to move onto a different restaurant.
