Yak burger and beer flight

I went to the one downtown during my stay. Enjoyed their food and beers so much when I saw it at the airport I made a B line and it's still delicious

A pretty good spot for a quick bite before our flight. We snagged some seats at the end of the stool section. It was a little confusing whether we should order via qr code. As we were about to submit our order a waitress came over to take our order. The food was actually pretty good. We really enjoyed our Bavarian pretzel and the cheese dip was perfect. The crab melt also really hit the spot. Not too pricey for airport prices. A great last meal to wrap up our trip to alaska!

Found our own seats as stated on the entrance sign then the server arrived promptly though the place was jam packed. I ordered a Frontier White Birch while hubby got the smoke beer. We both agreed that we picked perfect drinks. After two weeks visiting family, we were ready to head home. Fabulous grub pub decorated with antlers on the ceiling.

Homemade cracker jacks and an IPA

Visited the airport location while waiting on our flight home. We tried their pre check-in bar location before TSA and restaurant after. The pre check-in is pretty much a bar with limited food. Pretty much in the middle of the terminal. All items ordered at the bar area. The other location after TSA is a restaurant with full service. We sat at the bar and ordered our beers and they brought cracker jacks like snack. I thought it was very good. I ordered the loaded supreme flatbread and my wife got the seafood chowder and a wedge salad. Both were very good for airport food. My flatbread was tasty and I was able to split my wife's salad. Nice location in the airport. Real Alaska bar feel.

I'm so glad to see that 49th State Brewing opened an airport location. I had a chance to stop by before my flight and was not disappointed. I got my all-time favorite pretzel and my favorite "Smok" beer to-go, which was such a nice treat before traveling. The service was a bit slow when I was there, but to be fair, compared to many other airport restaurants, it really wasn't too bad. Overall, it was a great airport stop, and I'm happy to see one of my favorite local breweries available there.

Fantastic Beer selections from IPA's to multi small batched beers, great service from Bartender Shawn (Thanks Shawn), good location between the entrances of concourse B&C. I ordered the Crab Grilled Cheese sandwiches and it lives up to its hype, definitely suggest it or I've been told the Elk burger is good too.. The vibe is good especially considering how hectic the Airport ca

I love this Alaskan chain. They always have good vibes and great food. They let us chill here for a few hours before our flight. The chicken tenders ($13.99) were literally some of the crispiest tenders I've ever had. Lots of seating and clean too. Quick, attentive, and efficient service.

Yak Smash Burger ($28.99)

A good spot to drink and eat while you wait for your flight! I had 4+ hours to kill, so I stopped by the 49th State Brewing before airport security, not knowing that on the other side was a location as well (this one seemed way busier). I tried one of their IPAs which was a great beer - the food on the other hand was just okay. I tried the Yak Smash Burger ($28.99 - Locally raised Alaska yak has a delicate, juicy flavor. Housemade burger topped with caramelized onions, honeypepper applewood smoked bacon and smoked Gouda cheese. Served with lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, pickles and mayo on a pretzel bun). Not sure why they call it a smash burger as it was just a regular burger. It was decent, but for some reason I was expecting a little more with the description of the ingredients; it tasted pretty bland. Didn't particularly like the pretzel bun, as it was pretty chewy and dense and I think the pickles were missing. The fries were good. Overall the food was decent and the beers were great - good way to waste time at the airport!

I wonder what is in their King crabby grilled cheese? Does crab variety mean artificial crab? Service was so attentive it was overwhelming. Comfortable seating and nice bar.

This was a fine little airport restaurant/bar; I had a bit of time to clean, so decided to get a bite to eat and some local cider. I truly just got the pretzel and cheese and it was fine...I was hoping for more of a traditional beer cheese, since this is a brewery, but it was fine and hit the spot. Service was attentive, which I always appreciate in an airport setting - let people enjoy their meal and catch that flight!

Listen, if you're anywhere near 49th Brewing Company and you don't stop in, you're basically committing a personal crime against your own taste buds. First off, Felicia deserves a medal, a trophy, and maybe her own holiday. I don't know what kind of customer service vitamins she takes, but she was out here delivering five-star energy like she's on a mission from the hospitality gods. Now let's talk food, because I was not ready. The Elk Burger? Off. The. Hook. I'm talking "call your mom and apologize for every bad burger you've ever eaten" levels of good. The wings? On point like they went to college, graduated early, and got a job before their friends. Perfectly cooked, sauced just right, and absolutely capable of converting wing-skeptics into believers. And if you're grabbing a beer don't play games get the Frequent Fire. That thing goes down smoother than a toddler sliding down a staircase of butter. It's flavorful, it's bold, and after two sips you'll be questioning why every other beer in your life has disappointed you. On top of all that, it's Thanksgiving, everything in town is closed, and these legends are staying open later. That alone makes them heroes. The place is clean, the vibe is inviting, the service is top-tier, and honestly... it felt like a blessing from the universe. If you need good food, good beer, and a good laugh in a place that treats you right, 49th Brewing Company is the move.

Solid option for a quick meal before catching a flight! Came by for dinner and ate at the bar to watch Monday night football. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Ordered the halibut and chips and it was delicious. The location in town (by the Hilton) is better but for airport food this is an excellent option!

Food was good especially for what is to be expected at an airport restaurant. Everything came pretty quickly.

They have gracious enough to serve a grilled cheese even if wasn't on menu. The waitress was awesome. (Keisha) was very attentive. Love it.

Had the 48 burger with bacon . Thin overcooked patty - it's a $5 burger not a $20 burger . Eat it but not worth the price at all .

Hair in the pizza. Pizza tasted like Pizza Hut. The burger was better for sure. Not enough staff to keep up with the cleaning.

Slow service. Not worth giving a story. They were just slower than necessary. Tried to pay, but dragged feet with routine tasks.

I didn't get a chance to compare but I enjoyed my meal at 49th state and the service was excellent. - root beer - 5/5, so fun to try their locally brewed root beer, love a good root beer! - seafood chowder - 5/5, super delicious, with generous chunks of salmon, halibut, clams, potatoes, creamy with dill - yum! One of the best chowders I've had anywhere - parmesan asiago crusted halibut - 4/5, highly recommended by our server as her favorite item even though she doesn't like seafood. It was a solid offering, and could have been better if the garlic mashed potatoes were more tasty (the Alaska Lounge horseradish mashed potatoes would have been a better accompaniment) and seasonal vegetables which in this case were carrots and parsnips neither of which are my favorite (and in my book it's not a vegetable if it's not green) - sourdough bread pudding with vanilla ice cream - 4/5, I love a good bread pudding. This one was good, not great. It was an enormous portion and sitting in a pool of butter? something else? and not so delicious that I felt like I needed to have more than a few bites. I was glad I went for the fun atmosphere and would return just for the seafood chowder.

The calamari was easily the best that I've ever had in my life. The chowder was absolutely fantastic. I also tried their beer flight, I don't know if I've ever mentioned beer in any of my reviews, cause I typically don't drink it. I was absolutely shocked to discover that the stout was one of my favorites, with that dark chocolate finish. All of the beers were really good, just a bit filling. Today I sampled the French dip and a slice of pizza, and both of those were absolutely fantastic. Had the calamari again, and everyone agreed that it was pretty much the best ever. Service last night was very good, our server took care to explain the food and drink options as well as answering any questions. He was very attentive and friendly. I went with a large group for lunch today and our server was excellent, she nailed every order and was friendly and quite attentive. Large groups can be a hassle, but she handled it excellently. The atmosphere last night was quite busy as you would imagine on a Friday night. That's why the good service and great food is extra impressive. We had a private room for our group lunch today, and it was quite nice as well. I would absolutely come back here again, and list them as a must visit for anyone visiting Anchorage. So far the food scene in Anchorage just doesn't seem to miss. Kudos to the management and staff for running an excellent restaurant operation and delivering both quality customer service and superior food product.

The parking lot seemed full but they still had seating available immediately. It's big but still cozy because of the layout. We got the friendliest welcome from our server who helped with beer recommendations. We ordered the special slice of the day, Call of the Wild. This was required since I'm a huge Jack London fan. But wow, reindeer sausage, steak, bacon, mushrooms, more mushrooms, red pepper, garlic cream sauce, ... lots of stuff. It was fantastic! For dessert we got the Death by Peanut Butter which turned out to be a cream cheese peanut butter filled pie of sorts that honestly seemed like a light fudge consistency. Again, fantastic. We tried to eat it all but just couldn't so we took it back to our AirBnB for later. Overall it was a fabulous experience all the way around. Before leaving, we ordered the Hungarian mushroom soup and tomato soup to go. Both were great. My only complaint is that they don't offer a grilled cheese sandwich to go with the tomato soup, but I ended up ordering breadsticks instead, which worked well. Overall, Moose's Tooth is a great spot. The food is tasty, the atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and I can definitely see why it's such a popular Anchorage restaurant.
