After a long experience with 480 termite and giving them chance after chance, they did nothing but waste more and more money and leave me disappointed with no results...... They did nothing but prove to NOT be effective AT ALL, never solved my termite issue, damaged my walls/ceilings while putting foam/liquid in that did zero to help and pretty much just made it sound good with the warranty yet they don't solve ANY termite problems. To top it off- I paid a very large amount of money to do the major termite treatment service by trenching a liquid barrier around my home THEN CAUGHT THEM ON CAMERA only adding a small trench/liquid in one small corner of the property. Yes, they scammed me for thousands and didn't even provide the treatment they said they did despite having camera footage. Then the lady that runs the place did nothing to make this right and had the nerve to try to get more money for a longer warranty that would guarantee results.... Typical scammer. Well the little gold beige bugs under my flooring and in my baseboards would determine that statement to be false and get this part.. the "termite guy" who said he's "ONLY QUALIFIED TO INSPECT TERMITES" admitted that he couldn't have inspected for MICE beyond a single trap because the seller removed the dropping and evidence before he arrived, HOWEVER he stated to my realtor who called him more than once that he inspected and it was cockroaches in the attic and swears by it. Well according to another pest control company and our neighbor whose cats kill them on the regular, that's a lie and they may not be in here presently but it can't be "rodent free" without access points being blocked off. There are in fact no cockroaches on my property and he never "PHYSICALLY INSPECTED" the house for rodents because the evidence was removed by the seller. What a LYING SCAM OF A BUSINESS! DO NOT USE THEM! They are idiots and unprofessional. And did i mention while he swears the tan beige bugs are not termites, he has no clue what the handfuls of them are. These guys rock! Every time I submit the service request these guys show up AT THE SAME TIME of my home inspection saving me time from having to show up to do TWO inspections. On my last deal, the stupid underwriter waited till one day before close and informed the buyer they needed a clear Termite report. This meant the termite man had to come back out and do a re-inspection after repairs were done. My buyer called and got them to show up early to give him a clear report so they could close on time. We called 480 Termites to come and inspect a termite problem we were having. The day they were to come out we were flying back into town and our flight was late. The tech was at the house, we were out about 20 minutes, at the most, the office person couldn't get ahold of us on one phone and contacted family for my phone number, they called. I let them know we were on our way. They said their tech could not wait in the heat for us to get there. (Most vehicles in AZ have AC) I apologized and we rescheduled for the following week. I took off of work to be home, they never arrived. We did get a message on my husbands phone, needing to reschedule. Husband was at work, does not get calls when at work. Wondering why when they were waiting for us they had no problem contacting us on a different number but when we were waiting for them they didn't put the same effort to make sure we knew they were going to be a no show. My landlord called this place for us to come and spray for roaches. We got our place sprayed 3 times and still were infested with roaches. You also must remove everything from your kitchen every time they come spray so it's a hassle for sure. We then ordered this gel stuff on Amazon to place around our kitchen and woke up to about a hundred dead roaches and never had a problem again. I would not pay this company to solve your roach problem I would simply order the gel on amazon. read more

480termites to conduct termites inspection on a transaction I had in escrow, they came back saying property also had bed bugs, we hired them to treat for bed bugs, they treated a total of 6 times, after nearly spending $1000, we decided to hire Burns to do heat treatment for the bed bugs, which 480termites don't offer, probably due to lack of experience, we were told immediately by Burns that we didn't have bed bugs and the dead bugs were just dog dog fleas! After spending all the money on the wrong treatment and loosing 2 buyers, I called 480termites to let them know I get the manger who didn't care and didn't wanna hear it and hands the phone back to receptionist! read more

We had a warranty with this company after purchasing the home with termites.we had them come out to treat a few termite tunnels and when I called a fourth time, the scheduler said they had spoken with the owner of our property, and they had used a new poison, and could not come to our house for another thirty days (close to our warranty renewal date). This was disturbing to be because I had a tunnel growing right above my two-year old sons bed. I expressed my concern to her, and she told me the termites would not harm my son, as they only eat wood. As I am aware of this, I was disturbed by the sanitation of the issue and the simple discust of the matter. When I finally got a worker to come out, I told him about the call, and he had no idea what the scheduler was talking about, and she had lied to me. We are now with another company. read more

Do not hire this company. I paid them for an inspection on a property I am under contract to purchase. 480 Termite wrote in the inspection report "evidence of wood destroying insects was observed" and told us it would be $400 to treat the property. Seller didn't believe they had an infestation as they had previously treated for the termites, so seller called 480 Termite to ask about the report they provided me (the buyer) with. 480 Termite verbally told the seller there was "no active infestation" even though the report clearly states there is evidence of termites. Seller refused to treat the property based on their verbal communication with termite company. I called 480 and asked them to add the statement they verbally said to the seller - "no active infestation" - to my termite report so I can get approved for underwriting with my bank and get the loan funded (lender doesn't want to fund a loan with an active termite infestation, and seller wont treat property because 480 told them there isn't an infestation...ugh!!). 480 REFUSED to put the statement "no active infestation" in my report - even though they directly said that to both me (buyer) and to the seller when we called to inquire about the report. And why is this company divulging the results of an inspection that I personally paid for to any random person who calls and inquires? Not only that, why are they telling people something different than what they put in the inspection report? Furthermore, if they are verbally telling everyone there is no infestation, why do they want $400 to treat the property?!! DO NOT HIRE!!! Secretary was rude and callous - refused to help me resolve the issue. Owner has not contacted me to resolve, even though I requested they do so. Company disclosed content I paid them for to unverified sources without my consent. Company misrepresented facts in my report as well as facts they verbally communicated to me and sellers. HOW CAN I CLOSE ON MY LOAN WITH THIS CONFLICTING INSPECTION? EARNEST MONEY, APPRAISAL, HOME INSPECTION, TERMITE INSPECTION - all could be MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN due to this company's unethical business practices. Seller would have agreed to treat for termites had this company simply told them the SAME information they wrote in my report - that there is evidence of wood destroying insects. Instead, this company wrote one thing in my report (evidence of wood destroying insects), and told both me and the seller something completely different (no active infestation). Ridiculous, unethical, inappropriate. Don't hire this company - you have been warned. If only someone had warned me, I would not have put at risk my $3500 from earnest money, appraisal, home inspection, termite inspection. UPDATE - I paid a different company, Blue Sky Pest Control, - they were wonderful, by the way - to come out and do a termite inspection. They completed a thorough inspection of the property and gave me a termite report that indicated there was no evidence of infestation. They also verbally told me the same thing they wrote in my inspection report - that there was no evidence of termites. Hallelujah! The owner of 480 Termite still has not contacted me! Don't use 480 Termite for your inspections or you could wind up in the same situation I was in - putting my earnest money and inspection money outlays at risk and ultimately having to pay for multiple termite inspection reports. Call Blue Sky Pest Control instead. They did everything right the first time, were professional, didn't disclose to anyone the content I paid them to provide, gave me the termite report onsite at the end of the inspection, and didn't recommend I pay them to treat a property that has no termite infestation. read more

we have used this company for 3-4 years. up to a month ago excellent service due to a technician that was diligent, thorough and a wonderful guy. we had a new technician service our home in april. we had several small ant mounds in our paver patio area. my wife told the technician to pay attention to this area. the technician asked if he could fill the truck with water while he was there. she said yes that is fine. this tech spent about 5 minutes spraying the perimeter and house whereas our old tech spent about 30-35 minutes. my wife went outside and inspected the area and the ant mounds had not been touched with any spray or dry chemical. I contacted the company and explained the situation. i was told that they would redo the application for free and then have our regular treatment on may 17th. i was supposed to call on may 2 for the time they were coming for respray. i called at 9:20 am that date and they said they would call right back because the scheduler was on the phone. at 4pm that day still had not received a call so i called them. after being on hold i was transferred to the scheduler. was then informed that she "thought" they were going to be able to be squeeze us in that day but it didn't work out. then she proceeded to tell me that the first available date of application would be may 17th. I explained that now we had multiple ant mounds and that i had found a 3 inch scorpion in the garage (had never had this problem before). i was informed that that was the best they could do. so not being very satisfied i cancelled my service with them. called the business office the next afternoon after being told by the scheduler they would call me the next morning and was informed that the contract was non refundable because it was just for termites, and they would not refund the 5 months that i still had left since this was for ants (my problem now) and not termites. then went on to say that the gps for the company said the service truck was at my address for 25 minutes. my wife saw him sitting in the truck most of the time and spent about 5 minutes spaying. she (billing office) just reiterated the truck was there for 25 minutes. so i asked if they were calling my wife a liar. just saying i am sure he wasn't in the truck for that long. yet the evidence would certainly indicate inadequate/poor treatment service. since a new minor problem has worsened significantly in 2 weeks. and then to tell me after we first reported the problem that it would be almost a MONTH before they could treat again. customer service in my opinion from the front office ranks 0 out of 5. if you are lucky, you might get an excellent service tech like we had for 3-4 years. and then again, you might not. and if you have a problem, don't expect getting any help or satisfaction when you call them. let me tell you, i have first hand experience. this is only the 2nd negative review i have ever written. and i am 60 years old. i tend to ignore bad work and just hire someone else, but with this experience i thought it was worth knowing about. and to be fair, the business office said they did want to work with me since we had been such good customers. the offer, we can be out there on may17th. WOW, what an offer, a month after first reporting the problem....... now that is what i call great customer service. treat me like a child, offer nothing to help remedy the problem and NO reimbursement for 5 months of an unused 12 month contract-guess they forgot to tell me that part....... read more
