Beef Shawarma (Catered version so probably smaller than a regular wrap)
Goldie O.

This was my first time eating 3tees Shawarma and it was catered at a birthday party that I attended. While I like the potential of the wrap, it was EXTREMELY greasy for my liking. Like an excessive amount of oil was used in the prep which made it very messy and difficult to enjoy. I've believe they also used cabbage in it (which I'm not a personal fan of) so I would probably leave it off of my next one. Overall I think the wrap was good as it was flavorful and pretty spicy but I'll probably have to request some adjustments if I come back to purchase on my own.

I said extra creamy and even paid for it just to this dry ass chicken that's choking the shit out of me. I'm tired of leaving reviews cause y'all clearly don't care about your customers. I'm done spending my money here!

Best Shawarma in Houston! They are served super Crispy and with a good amount of sauce. If you don't like spicy you can ask them to hold it but I recommend you to try their mild, it's just delicious. Their potato fries are AMAZING! I could eat another 5 orders if I stayed there longer. Please bottle your sauce!!!!!

I'm honestly upset I'm just now finding out about this place. Oh my gosh. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon, around 12. It's honestly in a very familiar place but I never really noticed it. The staff and the owner were pretty friendly. I ordered the chicken, beef and sausage shawarma (spicy) with sweet potato fries. The food took about 15 minutes but it's prepared fresh for you. I tasted the sweet potato fries in the car.. AND IT WAS AT THAT MOMENT I KNEWWWWW GOD JUST DID SOMETHING MIRACULOUS IN MY LIFE..... I just knew the shawarma wouldn't disappoint either and surely enough, it did NOT. I ate it before reaching my next destination... risked my life driving tbh but it was worth it. This hole in the wall place deserves 10 stars! I will be back for sure!

This was a drive by find. Pretty interesting place and menu. Food is incredibly cheap if you keep it simple. I had a chicken shawarma zobo drink (hibiscus/ginger) and sweet potato fries. The shawarma for $5 is going to be hard to beat. More than enough and if ordered spicy most people will find it hot. The side was small more like a sample but the SP fries were perfect. The drink was herbal somewhere b/w sweet and bitter. Really nice owner and steady stream of customers in and out. for the price I gotta say not bad at all. I'll be back to try more.

We have only had the Shawarmas but they are AWESOME!!! We discovered this place last week and it's now in our weekly rotation.

Spicy Beef and chicken shawarma

The best shawarma I've had in the states and it's safe to say it's even better than the ones I've had in Nigeria!!! So good and tasty! I got the spicy chicken and beef shawarma and the spice wasn't too overbearing, it was just right! The yam and stew was also made very well. This place should be expecting me often because I loved my food and experience here!

Very mean & rude bunch of African employees & poor customer service. They treat customers like trash. They must all be retrained.

OMG, this was such a nice find! My friend recommended ChopNBlok since she had visited both their…read moresit down restaurant and this more casual location. I'm always happy to discover a good restaurant recommendation, and this one definitely did not disappoint. They had someone out front handing out samples of their Jollof rice, curry sauce, and stewed plantains, which were part of their Golden Bowl. I'm not a big plantain person, so I initially asked for mine without them. But, I decided to give them a try anyway, both with and without them. I'm glad I did because the plantains actually added a really nice balance to the dish. The combination of the rice, curry, and plantains was mostly savory with just a hint of sweetness. Hands down, this was my favorite dish. I also have to give a shout out to the woman out front handling the samples. I spoke with her the most, and she did a really good job of selling the restaurant. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable. Sometimes it's the little things, like someone taking the time to introduce you to the food and make recommendations, that can really make a difference. All in all, ChopNBlok was a great find, and I'm glad my friend recommended it. I don't live in the area, but if I ever find myself back there, I would definitely return for the Golden Bowl. It's always nice when you discover a dish that makes you want to come back for more!

The interaction with one of the employees was unnecessarily rude and embarrassing, and it left a really bad impression. For what we paid, I expected a much more welcoming and respectful customer experience. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be coming back to POST location.

I shared the fufu with egusi soup with stewed goat added, the Stewed Hen, Moin Moin, & Jollof Rice, and the meat pie with a friend and it was plenty for both of us. The fufu with egusi soup was super delicious with a spicy kick that I loved (7/10) . The plate was the star of the meal. Everything from the stewed hen, to the rice, to the greens were all so well seasoned and I truly enjoyed every bite (8.5/10). The meat pie was also delicious with a savory filling and the pastry was thick and buttery but surprisingly not overbearing considering the pastry to filling ratio (8/10). Overall the food was awesome and seemed quite authentic. Would definitely come back to support this small local business!

When I woke up this morning and checked DoorDash it said that the order was picked up at 7:37pm and my card was charged $60, which is honestly too much for 2 soups and 2 appetizers. Also on top of that the location was sketchy, had no visible signage, and was dirty. Would not recommend this place at all if I could give negative stars I would.

I am not very experienced with African…read morecuisine outside of South African restaurants and a few Ethiopian-style places, so this was a very new experience for me. Overall, I found the food to be very flavorful, well seasoned, and unique. My daughter and I actually ended up liking each other's meals more than our own, so we switched plates, which worked out well. We also ordered a few extra items, including wings and yams. The pounded yam was interesting and very different from anything I usually eat. It is probably not something I would go out of my way to order again, but I am glad I tried it and now understand a little better how it is eaten. The one disappointing part of the visit was the ordering experience. The young man who rang us up was polite, but he was unable to make any recommendations. He said he had been working there for about three months and still could not really suggest what to order. For someone like me, who is unfamiliar with this type of food, recommendations would have been very helpful. I would have appreciated some guidance on the most popular dishes, common choices, or what first-time customers usually enjoy. That said, the owner was extremely kind. She came out to our table, spoke with us, and helped explain how to eat some of the food we had ordered. I really appreciated that. She came across as a very sweet person, and based on her hospitality alone, I would come back to support the business. This style of food may not personally be my cup of tea or something I will crave often, but I respect the flavor, the care, and the local business behind it. I would give Bantu House four stars. It could have been closer to 3.5 for me personally, mostly because of the lack of ordering guidance, but the owner's kindness and the quality of the food pushed it to four.

Such a delicious meal in every single bite with each bite being full of moisture and consistency too. The drumsticks had a slightly crispy exterior, really tender flesh, very juicy to almost falling off the bone feel to them. They were cooked thoroughly without being dried or burnt. That spicy, oily red sauce was so aromatic with just enough kick to it. It wasn't creamy, but not too watery either. The Jollof rice was smoky, savory, buttery and a little spicy. The greens had a subtle ingredient in them and complimented the rest with some earthiness, while the plantains were like a mini dessert. The plantains were very good with a really soft, creamy texture, good warmth and natural sweetness. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. This poultry dish is a real treat every time with every flavor profile in play satisfying multiple pallets.

Delicious food and great service!…read more Since I've never been here, I wanted to place my to go order inside. I'm glad I did. This spot is really pretty inside and out. The parking lot is small, but I lucked out and found a spot right in front of the door. I was warmly directed to the side bar area to place a to go order. A very nice lady talked me through the menu and made suggestions. I went with the golden bowl and substituted shrimp. As I sat and waited for my order, I really enjoyed the music. It was loud, but perfect for the venue. The bar area looked so inviting. It was late afternoon on a weekday, but this spot was already 1/2 full. I noticed a few folks booed up on dates, as well as some friends hanging out. This spot gave me those cool back in the day vibes I'd have when picking the perfect hang out spot when I lived in NYC. My food was ready quickly. The spice and flavors were awesome. Everything was cooked to perfection and well balanced, ... and the curry --- OMGoodness! It reminded me of food my mom cooked. My only complaint was that I wanted more of those luscious stewed plantains. The next time I'm in HTown, I am definitely returning to this spot. I'll eat in, have some cocktails, and soak in all the good vibes here. The parking lot is small, but you can find some free street and metered parking in the area.
