    Fufu and Egusi no protein

I love coming here for my work breaks. The staff is always friendly and they are attentive. Inside is always kept clean and although it's never busy inside thats actually what I like the most too. It's the perfect spot to unwind during my work shifts. I always order the Egusi soup with pounded yam, it has the right amount of spice and so flavorful. I was really happy to find this place right down the road from where I work. I always recommend this place to people who are curious or wanting to try this type of food. I also have a gluten allergy and although I haven't asked if their fufu and egusi is gluten free, I noticed I barely or never react to the meal Im eating which is why Im always here knowing I can go back to work with no reactions!

We decided to have lunch here yesterday for the first time. The restaurant is clean and comfortable setting. Once we decided on what we wanted to have we had to beckon the waiter to come take our order. We ordered water with our meals but were told no ice so we were like okay! The waiter said they do have room temperature water and bought us bottled water which was added to our bill. He didn't tell us there would be a charge. Once we placed our order he stated there was a 30 minute wait so we waited. Three of us ordered the tilapia plate and one ordered the mackerel plate. No other patrons in the restaurant the whole time and we understand this place is somewhat still new. The food finally came and it was at the right temperature and well seasoned and delicious. We met the owner and chef. She wasn't very talkative and lacked personality as we tried to make conversation. Not sure if I would visit again as I don't like the 30 minute wait on the food prep time. I understand orders have to be prepared as orders come in for lack of customers right now. The waiter missed out on tips because there's no place on the receipt to write in a tip. When he brings the receipt your meal is total and charged. So he said we could Zelle or cash app him a tip but I decided against that and most of us didn't have cash. I hope business pick up for them but this may not be an idea location at Telge and 290 Frwy.

The food is always amazing. I think about the egusi so much I am currently here now eating. They have some of the best puff puff. Will always recommend

Top tier customer service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Delicious food from Cameroon, Senegal and other African countries. Came with a friend native to Cameroon and she approved. Tried the fried rice, jollof rice, beef, meat pies and fried plantain. The hibiscus drink was perfectly flavorful without being overly sweet.

    Cute place!

The flavor was good, a bit too oily for me. There was also a thick black hair in my egusi soup.

We stumbled upon this place and boy am I glad we did because the food was absolutely divine! I had the garnished tilapia with jollof rice and vegetables. Not sure what vegetables I was eating perhaps spinach but they were cooked to perfection. Bae had the garnished goat meat which was so tender and I appreciate the bite sized cuts instead of the chunky portions. I low key wished I had gotten the goat. We ended up getting a side of jollof rice because the goat meat plate did not come with any sides. I will definitely be back if I am on that side of town again. The four stars are because I wish they adjusted the spice levels. I like my food spicy and Bae who is Yoruba's spice level is not for this world! so the food wasn't as spicy to both of us as we would've liked. Service was a little bit slow, but I think it's because they do make the food fresh. Nice clean restaurant great customer service and cannot wait to be back next time I'm in humble

I usually order the jollof rice, efo riro, and egusi soup, and every single dish is rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. It was so good the first time that I came back again the very next week. Every visit I spend no less than $50 because I can't help but order all my favorites. The flavors are that good. There's a lovely woman in the kitchen preparing these dishes with so much care and authenticity, and you can truly taste it in every bite. If you're looking for a genuinely, expertly prepared West African meal, this is the place. I say this as someone who lives between Houston and New York, has traveled all over the world, and has eaten at many Michelin-rated restaurants. I know good food, and this food is amazing.

We placed our order online and arrived about 30 minutes later for pickup. The restaurant was extremely busy with takeout and delivery orders, so we ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes after arriving. The atmosphere was definitely hectic, with staff constantly moving in and out and diners packed throughout the restaurant, but I can confidently say the wait was worth it. My sister and I ordered the half egusi and half efo combo, and it was more than enough food for both of us. This was only my second time trying authentic Nigerian food, and it has quickly become one of my favorite cuisines. I loved the bold blend of spices, the rich and comforting flavors, and the perfect level of heat. The meats could have been cooked a little longer since some pieces were slightly tough and chewy, but the flavor was still incredible. The fufu (pounded yam) was silky smooth and absolutely addictive. It was the perfect vessel for soaking up every bit of the soups. Overall, despite the long wait and chaotic atmosphere, the food completely delivered. If you are looking for flavorful and authentic Nigerian cuisine, this spot is definitely worth trying.

I always order through door dash, I have Ben talking about this all week. I finally ordered my food, it usually takes an hour through door dash but they have to remake my order (not sure why). It came in 2 hours and it was about an inch down or oil. I expect oil on the surface like the first few times. But I poured oil out over and over again, there was very little okra. VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FEEL SICKLY!
