A friend brought me here to try authentic African food for the first time! I just I was thoroughly pleased. We ordered the tilapia and vegetables with spinach and jollof and egusi soup with fish. My gosh, that egusi (hope I'm spelling it right) was yum yum delicious. Everything had a nice tolerable kick to it but tasted good. It was made fresh to order so we waited slightly. The ambiance felt like I was in my family's living room. The staff was very warm and welcoming! I'd come back again!

Food is pretty good and the portions are reasonable. Everything is authentic especially the traditional soups, they're also very friendly and welcoming here. (Be prepared to spend 20$+)

Food was good, however, seemed overpriced. More portion of rice than stew added on to plate so if you love rice, this is a place for you. I had a side of spinach which was very good

I stumbled into Bluewater Seafood after getting a mailer with two coupons: one for a $20 gift card…read moreoff, and another for 25% off the entire bill. Kind of a weird setup though, because the bartender told me I could only use the $20 gift card if I was paying with a gift card... which felt a bit off, but whatever. Overall, this place was just okay. I get the feeling the boils might be the star of the show here, so I'll probably come back to give those a try. I ordered the sampler with fried green tomatoes, boudin balls, and stuffed jalapeños. The flavors were there, but the boudin balls were a little too salty. For my main, I went with the etouffee and asked for both shrimp and crawfish. It was flavorful, with a solid dark roux that I liked. I sat at the bar, and Crystal was my server. She was super friendly but admitted it was her first time making the Bloody Orange Lemon Drop. I gave her a couple of pointers for the second round, and she nailed it - so props for that! In the end, the experience was just fine. Not bad, not amazing. I'll probably come back to try the boils, but for now, it's a solid 3 stars.

This is my absolute favorite place to eat crawfish. There are three things that make for the…read moreultimate crawfish experience....a great patio, good music, and crawfish seasoned with fresh garlic. This place is a staple in the neighborhood. The OG! It keeps getting better and better. Oh and did I mention Pain Killers. If you are looking to unwind and enjoy the day, look no further. The servers are vibrant, the remodel is inviting, and well this is my happy place, amplified during crawfish season.

This review is for the Greens Rd Location: The shrimp were…read morebland and over cooked & slightly chewy. 3 people at the table tried the boudin eggrolls -all 3 said they tasted sour. Almost like "dirty crawfish". After 1 bite I didn't finish them. The sauce was very good. I gave it 3 stars because I went in with 3 other people and what they had was tasty. I'm going to try other items- when we return. Maybe they are still working the bugs out. Went today again and tried the Phillycheese steak loaded and Egg-rolls ... absolutely fabulous!!

I tried to give this place another try since my last review. The staff, the food, and the service…read morehave changed, but for the worse! The staff does not fully understand what the menu items come with and thinks that everything is the boil sauce. I order the garlic noodle box with extra garlic sauce. When my food came out it was covered in the ohh la la boil sauce. When I explained that the sauce that usually is with it is clear not red, she said this is what they use. I said it doesn't look like the photo on the board, her response was bc I asked for extra. I said extra does not mean change the type. She then just looked at me. I asked for a remake so it's like the photo. It seems that they rinsed off the noodles bc they were cold and thru the smoked sausage that I bit off and egg that I bit and placed it on top and smothered more red sauce on it! This is the last time, and I will not be bringing my family and friends or suggesting this place to anyone.
