Sunday family dinners are usually Middle Eastern kabobs. Last visit was with seven family members…read more Nice to get a plate filled with kabobs, chicken, lamb or salmon, served with basmati rice and grilled vegetables. We usually substitute the rice for Persian salad. Diced cucumbers, tomatoes and red onions with a Persian dressing. My favorite. For something different, try the fesenjan. Chicken served with a pomegranate, walnut and saffron stew served with basmati rice. So tangy and sweet. Love this one! Add some hummus, whipped feta or warm eggplant dip while you wait for dinner. Parking is easy. Make a reservation for a weekend dinner or lunch.

I must say I have to echo her review, as we were blown away by the flavors. The restaurant was packed, and the decor was fancy but comfortable. One look at the interior and clientele already convinced me this place would be authentic. We opted to try 2 different combos, the Kasra and seafood combo, so we could share and try a bit of everything. It's hard to pick a favorite, all the proteins were flavorful and tender. The rice was a whole talking point just by itself. I often get bored with plain old white rice, so I'm glad Kasra seasons their rice well. The portions were very generous as well, they left me full after cleaning up that whole plate. This was an excellent introduction to Persian cuisine for me, we got lucky that we chose a place that would leave a great first impression!

Went here last night and it was absolutely filthy. We had driven pretty far to try this place so we…read moresettled for one of the less offensive tables that just had sticky residue on it. Service was mediocre with us having to wait a long time to put our order in because the one server that was there was busy chatting with some woman who was making a togo order after we had been seated. The food was hit or miss with the highlights being the lentil soup and garlic dip.The moussaka seemed like it came premade from the store which was disappointing. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and they put a toilet seat that is too small on the toilet so good luck if you need to sit down... Also I spent the entire night unable to sleep well with indigestion and my wife has had to run to the restroom all night and all morning. Overall I don't think we will return due to the grossness...

I went here with good expectations since it's very close to where we live my husband and I decided…read moreto try this place today. When we entered the vibe was relatable to the name of the restaurant but after a few minutes we heard Bollywood songs and I love Bollywood songs but I feel like the vibe of the restaurant should relate to the cuisine and ambiance. It automatically gives an impression that the restaurant isn't Greek or Lebanese for example. Anyway, we had ordered kibeh and lentil soup for appetizers. The lentil soup was the worst lentil soup I've ever had it was frozen we asked them to heat it but it still tasted disgusting. I couldn't eat it. The kibeh was alright the dip with the kibeh was good. For entrees, we ordered the chicken shawarma plate and combo kebabs. The plates came with a salad the dressing was interesting but I'm not a fan of feta cheese so I didn't have the salad. The shrimps and chicken kebab of the combo kebabs were not bad I really liked the shrimps. The hummus was okay and the rice was very bland. The service was quick I believe because everything felt like it was pre-cooked except for the kebabs but the beef kebab wasn't cooked entirely one of the pieces it was raw. The shawarma was not good at all! Very disappointing Our bill was $60 and we were charged a 2.5% fees for credit card!

It turns out they were here all getting food from none other than Al Mankal Grill, a longtime bookmark and one of the gems of Sugar Land. They're in good company, as there are multiple Halal trucks, serving different cuisines and specializing in all kinds of food. The local following is impressive, but seeing as they have a perfect rating across different platforms, they're clearly doing something right. I ordered the beef and lamb chunks, a $27 (with tax) which had the perfect amount of char with just a hint of smokiness. Despite the price, I was floored at how delicious it was. The chicken shawarma arabi ($12) is a popular choice, while the mixed grill ($18) provides some variety between the meats. The chicken skewer ($6) and lamb with fat ($7) were both outstanding. The guy behind the window was friendly and dealt with every customer in a long line with ease. Credit cards are most definitely accepted and the wait for the food ended up being somewhere around 20 minutes. Unlike the other food trucks, they actually have outdoor seating with a few (albeit janky) picnic tables. This spot will become one of my most frequent when I'm in the area.
