Outstanding!!! I finally tried this restaurant after a friend recommended it and I saw an online review by Dining with Kent on Instagram and Tik Tok. The food is wonderful - very fresh and flavorful, with high quality ingredients. Chef John is a very experienced and accomplished chef with a background in various cuisines. The menu is extensive, featuring Mediterranean, Persian, and Indian cuisines. Everything from curry to shawarma to soltani to biryani to fish and chips. Kids menu available as well. We had hummus, tabouli, a Chicken Soltani plate, a Beef Soltani plate, saffron rice, fried spring rolls, baklava and Persian tea. Everything was delicious! The portions are large, and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. This will be our new "go to" restaurant. Chef John is very kind and personable, and visited with our table personally. The staff was very kind and helpful. Order at the counter and your meal is brought to you. The address is 4645 Highway 6 at Dulles Ave., in the Welfresh parking lot. It is a cafe to the right of the sushi restaurant. There are tables inside and a couple of tables on the outdoor patio. Staff at register was very friendly. Ordered gyro's which didn't take long but I arrived at 11:15am & they were still finishing up making the soups so we had to wait a little bit for that. She said they make them fresh daily. Inside decor is ok. It's clean, has a rustic vibe, wood chairs, 7 tables, soft music playing in background. Lamb soup is broth based but so full of flavor you'd swear meat is in it. Quite good. Lentil soup was a puréed soup, no visible lentil peas. More on the thinner than thicker side. I love lentil soup so much to my surprise although it too was good, I'd give the edge to the lamb soup. The gyro meat of lamb & beef mix was good. The pita bread was thin & light. They gave ample onions, tomatoes & sauce and the pickles were a different twist for a gyro but they didn't have a strong "pickley" taste. All in all I'd say their Mediterranean food was good based on the gyro & soup I had. They let me know they also have north & south indian food and that I could ask for that in the future because their chef knows how to make it. We came here for lunch. They have daily specials so we ordered those and from the menu. I ordered the lamb shank with berry rice (additional cost) , cardamom chai (too thick for me), and mango lassi. I hate to write this but this was just not good, at all. I had high hopes. I've been eating here for years but it's been a while. Ordered so many items and none were good. They Forgot our pita bread which I paid extra for. Chicken curry was too tough to eat. Gyro plate was way overcooked. Beef koubedeh was raw! And the beef and chicken kabob was so bad. They used to offer filet but now it's called "beef chunks" and we can see why. Inedible. Just awful. $125.00 I can't get back. Threw it away so I'm not happy. read more

Today was my first time eating food from here. I am tired of going into Houston for food Persian food so I decided to give this spot a chance due to the high rating. Glad I did. The service was awesome. I walked in and was greeted right away. My order was for takeout but they remained friendly the whole time. I ordered the KC Koobideh combo. The beef was super well seasoned and fresh. The chicken was just as well seasoned, fresh and super juicy. I am really impressed. I will definitely being going back. OMG what a great meal!! Everything was made to order and the chef oks were so polite. They took the time to explain the menu and each meal came with. Whenever I am in Sugar Land I make this place a dinner destination. The decor is conservative but very clean. The kitchen is open so that you can see your kabobs being cooked over the open flame. I'm a pretty frequent customer here, and I generally have been satisfied with the food. I generally get the chicken kabob plate and the doogh drink (the yogurt drink). The chicken kabob plate is a bit plain with it being only chicken and rice, but these have been my regular orders here. I guess my only con is that the chicken kabobs are kind of put together rather than chucks of chicken. The last time I got it, which was yesterday, it also seems a bit smaller in length than usual. It still tasted good overall, but it's just something I noticed. The doogh drink is refreshing and salty which I enjoy every time. A few months earlier, my friend and I went but dine-in was not open. We ate outside, and it was a good experience. We got the hummus and fries, and the fries were super good! We couldn't stop eating it because texture and spice was just right. It tastes good there versus taking back home togo which I tried on other times, so I recommend eating the fries there. The owners/staff are very friendly and nice. This is a very good establishment that I've been to a few times since I stay in the area. Their kabobs are very tasteful and tender and I absolutely love their basmati rice. The sweetened pomegranate juice is too sweet for me so I have to get it mixed with the unsweetened. Possibly one of the top Middle Eastern restaurants in Sugar Land area. Food is exceptionally good specially the beef Koubideh Kabob and the lamb shank. We really enjoyed the takeout we got from this place. Being vegetarian we felt like there was plenty to choose from in the entrees going beyond the standard falafel. I ordered the grilled vegetable kabob which on that day was mushrooms and onions. The sides that come with the entrees are delicious, especially the tabouli.
