I highly recommend the Mixed Grill Plate- the meats and vegetables were grilled/charred perfectly and the Pita was also delicious. As for the Chicken Rice Platter, the rice was slightly overcooked and the chicken was okay but I enjoyed the sauce and the veggies that came with. Okay. Today was the third time I've eaten Habibi Kitchen food. First and second times were good, fine. Food was obviously fresh, and I was glad to find a nearby place for some "real dinner" as my dad would say, aka quick, healthy food, not fast junk food. BUT TODAY was my third time eating HK and it was AWESOME. Clearly HK has hit their stride after being open for some time. I cannot get enough of their chicken and rice dish. I swear the flavors on tonight's dinner have more edge. The chicken was roasted but moist and the seasoning was flavorful, the olive oil on the salad actually tasted like olives, the parsley was crisp, and the hummus had just enough tahini and was whipped to perfection. AND the white sauce was *YES*!! Also I like my dish saucy and I was so happy they applied it liberally. Habibi Kitchen just moved WAY up on my list of take-out spots. ^^^^ So if you tried them before and weren't impressed, try again. Delicious falafel, hummus, and baba ghanouj. I love that they cook veg things in a separate fryer. The portions are generous, and there's a nice veg menu. The restaurant has lots of space, including outdoor seating. They don't have a lot of staff so it might not be good for a large party unless you give them advance notice. It's attached to SL Ice rink, so it would be fun to plan an outing that starts before or after one of the public skating sessions. Habibi is in a tough location at Sugar Land Ice Rink. I'm sure there isn't a lot of traffic there. I only get the Gyro, just because that is what I like, so can't comment on other dishes.
