Cool restaurant overlooking the water from the patio area. A pricier place, but the service was phenomenal. We went for lunch. Our waiter Paul was great and very attentive and polite. We were two adults + a baby and Paul was the man and just rolled with everything. A+ for Paul and the rest of the staff! We ordered the fish n chips and the pork tacos. The fish and chips were quite possibly the best I've ever had. I can't think of a time I've been more pleased. Three generous portions that were cooked to perfection. The outside was fried nicely, but the fish was soft and melted in your mouth. It was light and not soaked in batter. The pork tacos were very unique and tasty. They had a tiny spice (I would have liked more) and a sweet caramelized flavor. Three tacos which was also the perfect serving portion. I hate those places you pay $15+ for two tacos. 333 Pacific is quite the little hot spot in Oceanside. Thankfully my MIL made a reservation for us and we sat outside on the covered terrace and enjoyed the sunset. Nice view of the pier and beach of course as well. Splitting a wedge salad was the way to go - it's quite big for 1 person. The bacon wrapped scallops were to die for - SO GOOD...but a little salty. My hubby enjoyed his short rib (also salty) and my MIL enjoyed the salmon. For dessert a trio of ice cream? Yes please! First time coming to 333 and it was amazing. We made reservations and we decided to check out the Happy hour at the Vodka bar beforehand. They have every kind of Vodka imaginable. I decided on the Lemon Martini and it was nice and tasty. They have pretty good seating in the lounge and nice bartenders. The service here is great. Our hostess was super nice and we were sat at a booth. We could see the pier and the sun setting over the water. Gorgeous and perfect for a date night. :) We ordered the calimari for the app and it was great. It had a little of a spicy sauce drizzled over it and it complemented it just right. I ordered the Filet Mignon cooked medium for my entree and it was cooked perfectly and it was super juicy. Mouth is watering just thinking about it. Yes, prices are a little high but I think it's way worth it for the location, service and amazing food. They have a patio which looked nice and would love to come back during the summer!! read more

This restaurant is great for lunch or dinner. I went here on a Friday afternoon for lunch and we sat outside. It was lovely, overlooking the beach. As an appetizer we had the Sweet Chili Calamari ($12.95), and it was delicious. Perfect to split between 2 or 3 people. For an entree I had the Roast Pork Panini ($14.95), and I highly recommend it. It was so good! The roast pork panini comes on herb focaccia bread with an apricot glaze and gruyee and swiss cheese, and fries on the side. It was huge. I split the panini and fries with my dad and we were both stuffed afterwards (we did have calamari too though). Lovely atmosphere, great service, and great food. The bf picked this restaurant for valentines day. They only had available a valentines day menu sO it was pre-arranged for us. The atmosphere of the restaurant was modern contemporary and it's located by the Oceanside pier so the view was amazing. I started off with a drink. I asked for fruity cocktail where you couldn't taste the alcohol and the waiter recommended the melon martini. It wasn't good. If I could change it I'd change it to the cosmo. This is a shame; a good server experience would have pushed this review up 2 stars. Just a lackluster experience from start to finish. Never asked how our food was, never came by to refill drinks, and was basically scarce the whole meal. He wasn't busy; had 3 tables at the most but made the most of his time away from the diners. We ordered the calamari "appetizer"; another server brought our meal and when we asked about the calamari, she seemed confused and sent our waiter to the table. He said he was sorry it didn't come out first, in a way that clearly let us know he really didn't care one way or the other. Big deal? Not if your server handles it well; an apology, a smile, whatever. This guy seemed like he resented his job. Food was good, and yes, the calamari was good too, when we got it.........a little oversauced for my taste. If you notice details like I do, the iced tea is bad. Watery, "passionfruit" and in a really small glass that made a lack of refills annoying. Like I said, details are what make me remember the experience, and as funny as it might sound, I will go back to a place that cares enough to brew good iced tea, and serve it in a glass that isn't doing double duty as a highball glass. Went here for lunch- pretty typical Cohn restaurant. Started with the Tuna Poke Tacos, which were delicious (but I do wish the portion had been larger). My wife had the Shrimp and Grits which we both loved, I had the Kobe Avocado Bacon Burger which was a good burger but not on par with other kobe beef burgers that I've had. As an update to my favorite martini bar/restaurant, I had the good fortune to dine here on Thanksgiving Day for their 3 course meal. Each entree including filet, or salmon if you opted out of the turkey (with a quick sign of the cross to grandma for breaking that cardinal rule), was perfectly prepared with all the traditional side dishes such as green bean casserole, amazing mashed potatoes, and squash souffles arranged nostalgically around the plate. Our view was amazing, as Suzanne the reservationist, had taken extra care in providing a perfect view of the pier for my 94 year old lady friend who stood in awe to take in the panoramic beauty - as it was her first day out for a while from a local retirement home. This gesture resulted in actual tears from our server - and combined with the incredible service, was a prime example of how compassion, personality, and impeccable good taste can still be served up alongside gourmet food - even on a busy holiday. Auntie and I were in the Oceanside area and I saw this restaurant well reviewed on YELP. Am I ever glad we stopped in. I loved my halibut and my aunt loved her salad with grilled chicken. Our vegetables were fresh and both the fish and chicken were moist and flavorful ( without being cloying). Even the rice was good! Instead of the usual dried out white rice. ( which sadly accompanies some unfortunate entrees) , this rice was plump and fresh tasting- more like the delicious premium jasmine rice we serve at home. Our server, Geri, asked if we were celebrating anything. As it happened, my Aunt was turning 90 the next day! Following our wonderful lunch, a yummy dessert with a birthday candle came unexpectedly from the kitchen. Auntie was delighted! The floor manager came by often to be sure everything was going well. When I complimented him (sorry can't remember his name) he chatted about the other sister restaurants. Friends were in Maui, so I was able to encourage them to dine at the Maui location. The food here is spectacular. I have eaten here twice, once at a table and once I just had sushi at the bar. Both times were wonderful. The service is phenomenal, the staff enjoy their jobs, they have personality and they're not just robots filling orders. The atmosphere is hip and inviting, visually stimulating without being overwhelming. LOVE the lighted bar top and the scenery screen! There are two reasons I didn't give 333 Pacific 5 stars: 1) the food is a little pricey. The food is worth it by all means, but for downtown Oceanside, not so much. Which leads to 2) the surrounding neighborhood is not great, but can't be helped so please overlook it and just enjoy that it is right on the water by the pier. Well, I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised! I have tried enjoying 333 for a while now, but every other time I had been there, I was very disappointed. The service, the food, the organization, all of it. It has probably been at least three years since I have been there. My husband and I decided to give it another try as we had a gift card. We were going to go with no expections. We arrived and only had to wait a short period of time for a great table! Beautiful view of the ocean! Dawn was our server and she was pleasant and professional! We had the Ahi Stack for 2 and it was delicious! My husband ordered the meatloaf and I the Chicken Roulade, both were excellent! Best restaurant in the area. Their Ahi stack for two is a giant piece of sushi to share with your love partner. We also had their mix grill special with delicious steak and some of the most flavorful lobster tails ever. The creme brulé is also a work of art. P.S. all their Vodka drinks are $10. Yeah, this place is expensive, but right in range with the others in the Cohn group. But, you know when you come in that the food and drinks will be consistently good, high-quality and creative. Sorry to hear others have had trouble with the service, as everyone has always been friendly and on-the-ball. Then again, it might be about where you set your expectations. I go in expecting to have a relaxing time and don't want to rush. What a great place! The food was AMAZING and the portions weren't tiny like you sometimes find at higher end places. Perfect steak and great seafood. Our server Geri was great. She guided us through the menu flawlessly, as she did with the vodka menu, which we might have otherwise missed out on... YOU MUST TRY THEIR HOUSE SPECIALTY VODKA DRINKS. Well, technically 4.5 stars, but I'm a glass-half-full kinda guy, so I'll give them the mulligan. For a weekend brunch on a sunny afternoon, one could hardly do better. The service is terrific (if I remember correctly, our server's name was Dawna, and she was most excellent, both in attitude and in promptness), the food is tasty, and the location is as good as it gets. The Jumbo & Bay Shrimp-shrimp Bloody Mary Cocktail was outstanding, and quite an unexpected surprise, given that they PACKED it with shrimp. Good to the last bite. Their take on the Maine Lobster Roll is unlike any I've had in Maine (which is to say no mayo), but quite tasty, and again they didn't skimp on the lobster, which was a pleasant surprise. The Sweet Potato Fries were cooked to perfection, and served with both sambal oelek (think of it as kind of like a chunky sriracha sauce) and Meyer lemon aioli, a nice touch. The Lump Crab Hash & Eggs was the weak point of the lunch, to my taste, as the zucchini in the potato hash just didn't quite seem to work, the crab didn't really stand out, and I found the seasoning somewhat indifferent. Call that dish three stars out of five, which was disappointing because the other dishes earlier in the meal so nailed it. Decent wine list, though $45 a glass for a Kistler Pinot Noir seems like gouging; yeah, it's a potentially expensive bottle (though the 2012 Kistler Russian River Valley, which I believe is what they were serving, can easily be found for under $75/bottle), and they didn't have a single rosé on the list. Seriously? In summer? In California? Minor quibbles, those. No matter what mood you arrive in, you will leave happy. I would gladly spend a long, lazy lunch there any day. read more

The happy hour is great since its 7 days a week and the key lime pie martini is super yummy not too sweet but more tart. We sat down for dinner, hostesses were nice but not very friendly, just doing their job and going through the motions. We were sat down in a large booth that was very comfortable. The wine list is weird because it's not listed by price it's just all over the place so if you have a certain price point you are scanning the list a few times to see what you would want. The server was Loretta I think. She acted like a robot, no real personality. But she was a good server, nothing bad nothing great. We ordered the poke tacos and there were delicious just really really small. Miniature tacos. The beet salad was delicious very crisp and delicious. Our main course I ordered the filet trio and add on crab legs. My boyfriend ordered the 8oz filet and added on the Mac and cheese and broccollini. The filets had NO FLAVOR. Me and mt boyfriend were shocked how bland and no seasoning at all on the filets. The 8oz had a lot of fat on it, which is weird, I have never seen that before. The crab legs were really good but they only gave 2 with the add on. The best part of the meal was the Mac and cheese. It was delicious. But the bus boy took our plate before I ate all of it, there was only a little left but I wanted to eat it all. So we told our server and they brought us out a little bit more which was super nice. So we had even more of the good stuff. So overall it was good. If the filets just had some flavor it would be 5 stars and if our server actually had a peesonaliity. read more

My family and I visited 333 Pacific on Dec. 8th to celebrate a very special occasion (early Christmas Dinner) and all I can say is that it was a great experience. The food was very delicious and very well prepared, the time we spent there was very pleasant and relaxing. They have a good wine selection and the kids menu is just perfect for the little ones. My roommates and I stopped in for happy hour yesterday we were promptly seated in their lounge area there was plenty of spaces to choose from. I myself wanted a martini and my roommate is a beer drinker they have a great selection for both. Janelle was our server, she was very polite and gave us a rundown about the beer list changes (it wasnt updated?) She knew suggested a few of her favorite martinis. My friend chose an Auroura from Karl Strauss and I drank a Peach martini (great suggestion from Janelle) it's probably the best martini I've ever had. We ate calamari and the California roll both plates nearly licked clean. Janelle was a great server she was attentive but not overbearing as we were often in deep conversations. The food here is good. It's surf and turf, but its not stellar surf and turf. I think the crab shrimp lobster cake appetizer was my favorite. The flavoring was perfect and the mango salsa wrapped up each bite nicely. Entree's were a bit different. The medium filet mignon was medium rare, and salmon wasn't my favorite either. The filet had good flavoring, just too rare for my liking so that kind of killed that plate. The salmon was also okay. Bland, but the sauce it was sitting in kind of compensated... halfway. Service was excellent, I'd give this place three stars for the food and five for the service. I was super excited to try this place but this time it was a miss. Maybe I'll try again sometime and hopefully it will impress next time. read more

Tried it during their anniversary week. It was okay. My dish was very fishy tasting, but I ate it because I was so hungry. Another table spoke to the chef about that dish being off, but he refused to accept it. Creme brûlée was great. I'm not sure if I'd go back for full price. Seems expensive for what you get. Went during happy hour and decided to sit by the bar. We didnt get a menu until 20 mins later, I had to flag a waitress down. I asked for a 3 course meal special and ended up getting main course and finally my appetizer. My husband ordered a steak trio. I asked the lady twice if it had shell fish in it and she said no. When my husband was on his second piece he started getting a bad allergic reaction. Of course there was shell fish in it.. Over all ruined the night. I love this restaurant! I came here after my graduation and the sunset was perfect! We got a table outside and it was the best! Seeing the pier while you eat is amazing. And if you are into pictures that is a perfect place to take pictures while you eat your dinner. The menu is very big but everything we all order was so good! I would come back! My first visit. We came for happy hour and stayed for dinner. In the bar we tried several of the $8 martinis. The only one I didn't care for with the caramel apple...it was a bit off. The key lime pie...OMG...key lime heaven! We also ordered the calamari and the Ahi deviled eggs. The calamari was excellent with a tangy/sweet sauce. I do wish the sauce was served on the side though because some of the bottom pieces were swimming in it. I would have also liked a traditional marinara sauce as a second option. The Ahi eggs...I'm not sure what to say except there was absolutely no flavor...we couldn't taste the Ahi or the egg, just a bit jalapeno maybe. Dinner was perfect. A rosemary roll is served with a sweet butter. The steaks are served with mashed red potatoes. My filet was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. We had to try dessert...crème brulée for me...it was exceptional except the top was soft, a bit disappointing. My husband had the peanut butter bombe...it was like a Reeses peanut buttercup on steroids. I'm glad we were able to find a more upscale restaurant in Oceanside. My wife and I had dinner to celebrate my birthday on a Friday evening. We had a reservation and had requested and received a window seat. The view of the ocean and Oceanside Pier is very nice. When we were there, they had outside patio seating with free standing heaters, an enclosed patio with radiant heaters, and indoor dining. We decided for indoor because of the cool breeze, and to avoid the traffic noise as the patio is very close to the road. In all cases, the ambience was still great. The food and service were excellent with no less than 5 service people assisting us. The food was beautifully presented on the plates and it all seemed very fresh and excellently prepared. We had the Caesar salad (shared), a half order of oysters on the half shell, the filet trio, and the Kingfish. The restaurant provided a small Hot Lava Cake nicely decorated with Happy Birthday on the plate in chocolate. My wife and I noted, that while all the food was prepared as described, there is nothing subtle about the flavors...all the dishes were very bold in flavor which we felt was a bit overwhelming toward the end of finishing the dishes. Finally, we have to give a shout out to the hostesses...they all dressed and walked like they were on a fashion show runway and the tight black dresses were stunning. read more
