One thing to note is that the restaurant has a 90-minute dining limit. Guests are expected to order everything upfront because once the time is up, you may not have the opportunity to order additional items, including dessert. This was my first time experiencing a time limit at a restaurant, so it felt a bit rushed at times. For appetizers, the Honey Garlic wings were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The Shrimp Tempura arrived extremely hot, which made it difficult to eat right away, but unfortunately it lacked a bit of seasoning and flavor. The Shrimp and Grits was definitely one of the standout dishes of the night. It arrived piping hot and full of flavor. I actually burned my mouth taking the first bite because it was served so fresh, but overall it was delicious. The Oxtail with Mac and Cheese was another enjoyable combination. The oxtail had a good traditional flavor, although it did not include beans. My only complaint was that the portion size felt small for the price. My husband ordered the steak and fries, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. As for drinks, the cocktails were overpriced, and surprisingly the mocktails felt even more expensive for what they offered. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try dessert. Once our dining time was up, our waitress brought the check without asking if we wanted dessert to-go. She appeared focused on assisting another table, so it gave the impression that once your time is over, it's time to leave. Overall, while there were a few dishes I truly enjoyed -- especially the Shrimp and Grits -- I personally would not return for dine-in considering the pricing and time restrictions. Food is ok, menu is small lacks variety & portions are small doesn't make up for the price. The jerk wings were good but I received mine slightly burnt, oxtail Mac & cheese was ok. But small & only received 3 pieces of meat. If they're charging $13 extra for it customer should receive more. In total the mini plate was $29. Increase the serving size for that skillet. We showed up on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation and waited about 30 minutes to be seated at the bar which wasn't bad at all. First thing I noticed here, is that the staff is very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was great. I didn't enjoy the slightly mushy texture and I think they could've used jumbo shrimp for this dish. The grits were robust and hearty. The dish filled me up but I don't eat a ton. My husband enjoyed his entree. The Baileys drizzle is quite spicy so something to keep in mind. The tables give on appearance as though they are dirty..they are not unfortunately just stained and in my opinion should either be replaced or considering cover with table cloths to give a cleaner appearance. As mentioned in other reviews, the service could be better- more attentive. My sister ordered cranberry juice and it was basically water. We were trying to get the servers attention for forever before he noticed us and worth noting that the table nearby had the same issue the juice and with getting servers attn. It doesn't have a lot of seating so I would think it gets really crowded in the evenings and weekends My waitress was Nicola and she was really good. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Marley, he was very friendly, I don't know his position in the business I had a Cosmopolitan and it was good, we had a Marguerita that was good also. Wasn't what I was hoping it would be. The chicken was crispy but was expecting it to be more flavorful and it was dark meat. Not necessarily my choice. The waffle was a bit hard for me and barely provided enough syrup. The syrup was supposed to be flavored. I think with bailies. I tasted no difference. My friend ordered shrimp and grits. When you arrive inside, the place is beautifully decorated, but if you said a window seat and are looking out, it definitely takes away from the atmosphere. We were greeted by very friendly waiter who helped with all the meal accommodations I needed. The mimosa fight was worth it for the quantity but the flavors honestly fell short. They brought us out random flavors and some of them tasted like cough medicine but definitely get the lychee mimosa if it's available. The food was good.
