I have written here before regarding Prime 39 as I do like to support local businesses. I have been here for happy hour, after work drinks with co-workers and late night happy hour. I can't give 5 stars as the dining we struggle with .. Service is up and down. Both occasions felt the same. For Prime 39, I categorized the place as a restaurtant that happens to provide fine dining, but has an upscale feel. The music selection is really good here and the selection feeds into the upscale feeling with a good mix of R&B. We arrived promptly for our reservation but noted that it took a while to seat us, even though the dining room was empty. I do appreciate the dividers as they give you some privacy when sitting next to another group. The wait was uncomfortably long, which made us wonder if we should change our reservation to sit at the bar. We ordered drinks and water, but it took a while for the drinks to make their way to the table. The place wasn't that busy, but it did make us want to rush our order in for appetizers and entrees. Drinks were watery... As in sitting too long stir up the ice and keep stirring. The food had some winners. We enjoyed our entrees of Branzino, Burger, Cajun Shrimp Pasta as well as our appetizers which included lamb chops and Calamari. We also had a mini-chicken and waffles appetizer... Really good. Came here on Father's Day. Although it's a small restaurant, it is cozy and nice decor. Wasn't too packed and when I arrived the DJ had left soon after. Service started out great but got slow. Waiter was friendly but seems he got busy and was serving too many people. There was pre-fixed 3 course menu for the holiday. For appetizers we got garlic mussel and shrimp (forgot the name). Entree was lamb chops with mash potatoes and stuffed crab meat shrimp with spinach rice. For dessert carrot cake and fried waffle with ice cream. The food was really good! Alcoholic drinks were strong and I believe they used top self alcohol. Overall although the service got slow towards the end, the food made up for it. It's rare I give a spot 5 stars but Prime 39 is deserving of such a rating! A cute spot with a romantic ambiance to it. Red and black color scheme with red lights under the bar (a nice touch!). Service is friendly and everybody checks on you without being overbearing. The hightop tables near the bar are nice and separated by dividers. Long tables in the front and back. Plenty of seating at the bar. Drinks are strong and there is something for everyone! Not much of a wine list just yet but I hear they're working on that. Food is phenomenal! The bacon is candied and full of sweet and savory flavor. The lamb chops are good and come with a delicious jerk sauce that isn't too spicy. The branzino was very very good with a huge portion to boot. I'm unsure if you can choose your sides, as I was not asked, but I did see all sorts of sides available throughout the menu. Parking is on the street like most of Lynbrook so bring some change for the meter if you're driving. Probably needs a reservation for a table at the restaurant as it was filled by 8PM. read more

Came to Prime39 for a date night and was not disappointed. We luckily arrived during happy hour and I cannot recommend stopping by during happy hour. Even if you're not going to drink, their plates during happy hour are 100% worth it. The service was good but we did have to get our waitress's attention from time to time even though it was not the busiest night. Hey yall . I know it's not Queens but Lynbrook isn't far away . My Goddaughter and I took my sister out for her birthday and my Goddaughter picked the spot having been there before and it's close to the movie theatre. We started with appetizers . We had the sweet chile calamari , crab cakes and mussels . The calamari was good though I would have. Preferred the sweet chick on the side and it was too much and made the dish way too sweet . The crab cake was ok very dense with some interesting flavors . The mussels were in a garlic and cream sauce and the cream was light . They weee tasty . Main course we had Cajun shrimp pasta , Apple pork chops with garlic mash and string beans and fried chicken with corn bread and cabbage or greens not really sure . The dishes were good but the plates are on the small size and pricey . We ordered drinks and dessert too . We shared the bread pudding which came with ice cream and whipped cream . It was small but tasted good and was filling . What I noticed is everyone 's food did not come out the same time even though what came out was piping hot . I held off on this review for quite some time. Here's why: 1. The food was just okay-- 2. Service is 1 star-- I was turned off from entry, my friend made a reservation and the lady at the front was giving her such a hard time saying we only have 30 minutes to use the table. Mind you the place was practically empty with the exception of the guys sitting at the bar. 3. We ended up eating past the "30 mins," restaurant crowd was still the same with the same amount of people and waitress still had the nerves to come by and remind us that we will have to give up the table. I love this place as a happy hour spot! Tuesdays are the best because happy hour is all night. Reservations are suggested because they fill up quick and it is a small restaurant. The food from the happy hour menu is always good. I usuaully get the thai chilli calamari, lollipop lambchops, kobe beef sliders, and the wings every time! I didn't know Prime39 had a happy hour until a saw a clip on instagram. Nothing better than happy hour with food and drinks on the menu. They accommodated our large party with no notice and the happy hour menu is available in the entire restaurant (not only by the bar). I ordered the Candy Yum Yum cocktail. It was sweet and delicious. Truly tasted like candy and got stronger as I got to the bottom of the glass. The food was delicious! I knew it would be. The Mussels and garlic were my favorite. The broth was delicious. Spooning up all that sauce with the mussel shell was the highlight of my evening. I also had the Crab stuffed shrimp which was tasty but with only two pieces I wanted a little more. (The salt and pepper shrimp look like a better bang for your buck as far as happy hour shrimp goes.) I also had a side of garlic mash (not on the happy hour menu). Delicious and a nice size portion. The servers, host, all employees we interacted with were patient, helpful, and efficient. They repeated our orders, made suggestions, and clearly explained the policies with a large party. Finally went back last night to try their happy hour/regular foods and it was SOOO much better than brunch! As always, the vibes and ambiance in here was a good one. Their happy hour is from 5-7pm, we got here after 6 and was able to get a good amount of orders in off the HH menu. It was my first time having brunch here. Nice atmosphere, good music. The establishment is not big, but it's nice. The menu is prefixed all day on Sundays. The menu needs an upgrade it would be nice if the 39 salad had shrimp or chicken in it, not just lettuce. Also, the peach cobbler French toast, nothing else comes with it. Let me start this review off by saying that I came here when they first opened a few years ago and vowed to never return but babyyyyyy this place has changed!!!! My friends and I came to celebrate my brother's birthday. We decided to dine at the bar so that we could watch the basketball game. Now on to the food. Everything was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly and just oh so good. We started with the sweet potato deviled eggs. Listen I will get these every single time I come. They are BUSTIN!!!! Sweet and savory mix, a little saltiness, very memorable dish. Next up were the salt and pepper crispy shrimp and Caesar salad. The shrimp were piping hot and crispy. They had the taste of salt and pepper but not in a spicy way. The sauce it comes with is divine. I like that you can add more if you want or keep it with just a dab. The Caesar salad was fresh, clean, tasty and paired well with our our starters. For the entrees we had the fried lobster tail (this was presented as an add-on but they let me order it anyway) , lobster Mac and cheese, broccolini and the fried chicken with the collards and cornbread. Lobster tail was tender, juicy, crispy and I didn't share it because I devoured this thing so fast which tells you how good it was. The lobster Mac and cheese could've been better in my opinion but it was still good. Broccolini was garlicky and crunchy just how I like it. Now the chicken was special! I eat out a lot and this tasted like brand new fried chicken. Definitely a must try! The collards were more like a salad and not like a typical southern collard green dish so keep that in mind, still very good. And the cornbread tasted also like something new to me!
