Nice vibe, food is great, drinks are tasty. There's limited seating so reservations are highly recommended. They had a special of lobster empanadas, the empanada itself was ok, the filling inside lacked flavor. The jerk shrimp and grits is very rich in flavor. Their ox tail Mac & cheese is good, but I would have preferred just a simple ox tail dish because the Mac & cheese could be a bit too much.
Ok so this review is like 3 months late. Sorry!!! But as promised let me review this gem! Let me start by saying LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! My server was Alba and it was her first week when I came (back in April ). If this was her first week, I couldn't tell. She was so professional, genuine and honestly just nice. She gave good recommendations and was sweet. Like I said we came at the tail end of happy hour and she kept coming back to make sure we got enough happy hour specials. Definitely a good server. Ask for We ended up catching the tail end of happy hour and were able to get some bites at a good price. The birria empanadas were pretty good and this is coming from someone who isn't a birria fan at all. The mango pineapple wings were very good and flavorful. But the other oxtails stole the show. They were so dang good! They had griot on the menu but it's only served on Wednesday. So I gave the manager Ken a hard time. Lol. He was a good sport. But let's also give credit to a manager who was making sure that alba was comfortable during her first week. Also, it was EXTREMELY busy and packed and he was walking around checking on the tables. My homegirl and I will be back!!!
Great vibes, a beautiful atmosphere, and a friendly crowd make this my go-to spot when I want to unwind. I love grabbing a seat at the bar--the TVs are always on, there's plenty of energy in the room, and the conversation among patrons creates a welcoming, neighborhood feel. The service is prompt and attentive, and the food is consistently good every time I visit. While the menu is thoughtfully curated, it still offers enough variety that there's something for everyone. The drinks are always well-crafted and visually appealing, and the cocktail menu features plenty of flavorful options. Whether you're stopping in for a quick drink or settling in for the evening, it's a great place to relax and enjoy yourself.
We didn't have a reservation, but I would recommend you make one. We were seated at their walk way while we waited for a space at the bar. The host was engaging and funny during the wait. Nicely decorated space, the green feels luxe (I could be biased here). It's not a big space, though they did accommodate groups while on my visit. I'd do a casual date night/gno here. The music was good (mix of Caribbean and r&b while I was there) The music isn't too loud so you can have conversation while also not in others conversation. There wasn't a dj on this particular night, but they usually have one. We sat by the bar, enjoyed French toast and chicken, the lychee martini (more on the strong side, I prefer the sweetness of the lychee so I missed that. ) Mocktails were really tasty. Street parking only. There's a cvs next door with a parking lot and they will tow your car so don't get tempted. I'll definitely come back here.
I had brunch here today with my dear friend of over 25 years. Our server, Dwayne greeted us with a warm smile and provided attentive service. We selected the shrimp for our starter, which was crispy, delicious and sauce had a nice mellow kick to it. My friend had chicken and waffles and I had the grilled chicken BLT, without the bread which Dwayne suggested wrapping it in lettuce, perfect recommendation. Both dishes arrived in a timely manner, the presentation was very good and the food again was delicious.
We came for brunch and when i tell you Andre and Marley made our afternoon! We were walk-ins on a busy Saturday afternoon with 15min wait which wasn't bad. The service was everything. Friendly, funny and most importantly attentive. I ordered the margarita flight. The best were the blueberry and cucumber margaritas. I had the honey garlic wings (chefs kiss) & oxtail mac. I will be back!!
I would say this is a good place for drinks and apps. I say that because each Entree we had was just ok nothing to rave about. My fiancé had steak and fries the fries were over seasoned and the steak under seasoned. They also didn't cook the steak properly and we sent it back twice. I got oxtail and mac and cheese. The oxtail were flavorful but the mac and cheese was way too greasy in my opinion. The drinks however ! Mixed well and strong. We also had wings which were good. The calamari was too chewy. The ambiance and servers are excellent! Very attentive and knowledgeable. The ambiance is cute but the space itself is relatively small so you will be close to other people. So if you hate that this may not be the spot for you.
Love the ambiance & decor of this place, not a big spot but just right for 2-3 friends or a cute date. Came here after the spa to grab a bite & a glass of wine.
Refreshing! This restaurant offered such a new vibe and environment! The ascetics are well done and adds to the overall look and feel of your entire experience! The DJ is STUNNING! We came here for a birthday and entire time he was very engaged with ensuring our birthday girl was happy and having a great time! Beyond the atmosphere, the staff and food were very good! The oxtail was my absolutely favorite. Highly recommend!
Came here a second time and was disappointed. My sister found a piece of hair baked in her Mac and cheese and she immediately lost appetite. I brought it to the waiters attention and he dismissed it. My sister didn't even eat the rest of the mac and cheese so I was surprised I was still charged for the food. Also they charge you an automatic 20% gratuity regardless of the party size which is crazy.
I recently came here for a family dinner with my siblings, and we had such a great time. The vibe at 32 North was exactly what we were looking for. Great music, strong drinks, delicious food, and an energetic atmosphere that made for a really fun night out. The cocktails were fantastic and definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well-prepared, and arrived looking just as good as it tasted. From the wings and salmon to the French toast and short rib mac and cheese, every dish that hit our table was a winner. It's not often that a group orders this many different items and everyone walks away happy, but that was definitely the case here. Our waitress was awesome and took excellent care of us throughout the evening. She was friendly, attentive, and helped keep everything running smoothly despite how busy the restaurant was. The only downside was our interaction with the hostess, who came across a bit pushy. Thankfully, once we were seated, we didn't have to deal with her much and the rest of the staff more than made up for it. A couple of things worth noting before you visit: this is a relatively small space, so it fills up quickly and can get pretty crowded. They also enforce table time limits, especially during peak hours, and they are very strict about it when the restaurant is busy. If you're planning to catch up with friends or family for an extended period, just keep that in mind.
This was my 2nd time here and both times were great. The first time was during brunch and my only complaint was that the music was way too loud for such a small spot, so it was very hard to hear each other talk at the table despite being so close. Well this time, they got it perfect. The music and vibe was still jumping but the volume was just right. Service was 10/10. We decided to sit at the bar and Andre B was our server/bartender and he was amazing! Very personable, made some great recommendations and even better cocktails. Another guy, I think is name was Jevonta (spelling subjective lol) was great too. He was having so much fun working and provided great customer service as well. Drinks: also 10/10. We started with the espresso martini and sidecar with dusse. They were made perfectly. We had 3 rounds of those before opting to try the lemon drop martini on the happy hour menu. Andre recommended a flavor and we opted for the passion fruit and it was soo good! I think we ended up doing 3 rounds of these. Cocktails average about $19. Happy hour drinks are $10 Food: we weren't really hungry, just wanted something to snack on. We wanted the oxtail quesadilla but they were out of it. I decided to have the Grilled chicken BLT and my friend went for breakfast (served all day) plain French toast, eggs, and turkey bacon. The French toast were huge, it came with three pieces she only made it through one. The grilled chicken BLT was really good and came with a side of fries which were hot and fresh and fried perfectly.
My husband and I went back to 32 North for a double date night with friends and to see how the dinner menu was, and we had such a great time! Friday nights are jumping with such an energetic atmosphere to listen to good music with some good food. It gets packed, so make sure to reserve your spot. The food was delicious and a huge perk is that they serve brunch ALL DAY !

My friend and I came here on a Friday to take advantage of their $8 drinks. Let me start off by saying that we gladly enjoyed our time here. Upon entering we were greeted by the hostess and our server Melanie who was very nice and attentive throughout the night. The bar was full at the time we arrived so we sat at a two seater. The restaurant is quite cute and quaint so there weren't many seating options to choose from. We ended up sitting right underneath the Dj booth but eventually moved because we were feeling every bit of the vibration from the music. The Dj and music were great btw. He played a mixed of old school music, reggae, soca, & kompa. Also, the decor in here is simple but super elegant and gives an upscale look. On to the menu. They were right when they said brunch all day. The menu is full Of brunch items. My friend and I ordered several different options which we went able to share. The crab cakes were our favorite! They were crispy, hot, and DELICIOUS. The jerk wings were "ok" not bad but certainly did not trump the crab cakes. The jerk shrimp and grits were also good and filling. The grits were super creamy which we both liked. The portion size is big so you can def share this if you wanted to. Our drinks were both very good and were really $8. One negative I did notice was that there were guest next to us, as they wet done eating and vibing to the music. I assume this woman was the restaurant manager, she asked the guest to leave or sit at the bar giving the reason that the restaurant is small and she needed to seat incoming guest. read more
W the outside of this restaurant is not reflective of the inside. When you arrive inside, the place is beautifully decorated, but if you said a window seat and are looking out, it definitely takes away from the atmosphere. We were greeted by very friendly waiter who helped with all the meal accommodations I needed. The mimosa fight was worth it for the quantity but the flavors honestly fell short. They brought us out random flavors and some of them tasted like cough medicine but definitely get the lychee mimosa if it's available. The food was good. It wasn't great nor was it the best brunch food I've had, for the price you could probably get something similar in the city. But this is a great addition to the Long Island area. read more

This place is great! I went here with some friends for a weekday birthday dinner. I loved the Caribbean music that was playing and it was a low volume-perfect for conversation. The decor is gorgeous and high class. The food was perfect! We enjoyed wings and biscuits with pork gravy for our appetizer. I had the extremely tasty jerk shrimp and grits. Best grits I've ever had. We all enjoyed our meals to the max. My friends enjoyed their cocktails and I loved my mocktail with fruit. Service was outstanding. I can't wait to return here!!! read more

This was my first time at the restaurant.. It was a random pick last minute pick, and I was pretty pleased.. Entrance is very pretty and nicely designed but , small and not really fit for a crowd or a group of people waiting to be sat. But once you get in, the space is beautiful.. from the black walls with the green velvet chairs, and gold utensils were gorgeous . It has a great vibe and chill environment. Worker were all very nice and attentive, manager came over herself to apologize because they didn't have a selection that was on the menu, it wasn't a big deal for me, but appreciate that she came over. The only thing that I wasn't a fan of was the lord music. When we first walked in the music was at a good volume for me but, it gradually got louder. I did notice the manager signal to the DJ to bring it down a bit ( which was nice she notice) Don't get me wrong, I love music in the background at a restaurant, but it should never be so lord that we can't heard the people we trying to enjoy.. The food selection on the menu were all appealing. I ended up with Chix and red velvet waffles and a drink called Heat Wave. My husband ordered the deviled eggs for a starter, the chicken BLT and mango mimosas.. I don't have anything negative to say about the food, everything taste delicious.. Food presentation was beautiful. Food came out fast which is always good. We went as walk ins, had to wait about 30-40 minutes. The Host , waiter and manager all apologize for the wait, I was impressed. Must restaurants don't take the time to acknowledge that their customers waited longer than they were expecting.. You may want to make a reservation if you're going on the weekend, I did notice people with reservations did get a table right away or in a timely fashion. As for cost, prices were not bad ( for me ) we spent with tip included under a Hundred dollars for a party of two. This is a place I would definitely go back to and recommend. Great place for a couples date or a girl friends bunch. read more

Two stars for the aesthetics and our amazing server Nicola. It's a narrow space but decorated beautifully. Crowded on a Friday afternoon at 5pm - came in with my parents, my sister, and my two small children. We ordered the honey wings, the burger, steak and eggs, shrimp and grits, chicken & waffles, and deviled eggs. We were really excited to try a lot of things on the menu because all of it just sounded so good. My sister said the burger was excellent......but unfortunately that's where the praise at the table ended. The fries that came with her burger weren't fully cooked. The steak and eggs we ordered for my daughter was EXTREMELY bland. Like, the meat wasn't even seasoned with salt and pepper - seriously. The meat was also very tough and my daughter refused to eat it. I tasted it myself, and I honestly couldn't force myself to eat it either. My mom also tasted it and passed. My dad had a shrimp and grits and said the shrimp was very flavorful, but the grits had no flavor. The chicken with the chicken and waffles was "stringy," but the waffle itself was actually light and fluffy and yummy. The honey wings were ok. The flavor of the honey wings were good, but the chicken itself was hard. I was really looking forward to tasting the deviled eggs, but unfortunately, they never came out. We also ordered lemonade (which was awful - literally just tasted like water with simple syrup), and the rum punch - which literally just tasted like wray and nephews on the rocks. Our waitress Nicola was the epitome of class and patience, as it seemed that she was the only waitress working in the crowded restaurant. She was awesome. I think this restaurant has potential for sure. I love that it's in the neighborhood and is black owned, so I'm willing to come back in a few months to try it again and show support. Hopefully by then things will be better. read more

For Starters I'll Say They Informed Us That This Was Only Their 3rd Week Being Opened. So Congratulations To You Guys & All The Best. We Have A Reservation For 4pm. The Wait To Be Seated Wasn't Long At All. However When We Sat Down We Were Brought Water & Then Left. I'm Guessing The Owner (Maybe) Came & Asked Were We Being Helped. This Was About 20/5 Minutes After We Were Seated. She Then Sent The Waiter Over. & Before I Get Into It I'll Just Say The Waiter Did A Good Job. So We Ordered The Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits. ( They Have Sausage Gravy For An Extra Charge) This Should Be Offered Immediately When Ordering Charge Or Not. Second Avocado Toast W A Side Of Bacon. The Strawberry Short Cake French Toast W A Side Of Chicken. 1 Sidecar & 1 Sunset. They Had A Very Good Selection Of Music. The Tables Are Rather Small So Once The Biscuits & Avocado Came Out Both Main Courses Came Out 2 Minutes Later. So There Was Literally Minimal Room To Put That. I Reminded The Waiter About My Side Of Bacon For The Toast Immediately After I Didn't Receive It. However It Didnt Come Until After I Was Finished With The main Course. So At This Point Im Ready To Pack It Up & Bring It Home. Overall The Experience Was Okay & Maybe Some Point Down The Line I'll Try Them Again After Everything Is Up & Running For A While. read more

My friend and I went here for brunch and we were really excited. I ordered the jerk shrimp and grits. She ordered the fried chicken and Bailey's waffles. We also shared a mimosa flight. Let's start with the ambiance of the restaurant. The venue is small but the decor is nice and modern. If you're a tall person you may be uncomfortable at the tables and more comfortable at the bar because the table seats are very low. The music was a combination of afrobeats, reggae, and r&b. The level of the music was comfortable. We were able to have a conversation without yelling. Now the food. The jerk shrimp and creamy grits were really good. My plate was clean! There was a nice amount of sauce to grits ratio. The fried chicken and Bailey's waffle was good but the portion size of chicken was minimal. It left more to be desired. It looks like they took a small chicken thigh, sliced it up, and then put it in between each waffle piece. This was by far the smallest portion of chicken I have ever seen with waffles. Now onto the mimosas. These were very disappointing. They don't put juice in the mimosas. Looks like they use some kind of syrup flavoring. You could literally see through the glass. If it was a high quality champagne I wouldn't mind but it wasn't and I ended up wasting my money on this item because I didn't drink them. The mango didn't even taste like mango. The most flavorful ones were the Lychee and watermelon. Service was okay but could have been better. Our server only checked in on us when we were already done with our food and were ready for the check. We weren't offered water upon seating, even though the glasses were already on the table. We saw a server bringing someone else water and asked if we could get some as well. All in all this is definitely a place worth trying because the food was good. It's also a very new establishment so there is room to improve service with time. read more

I have to take a deep breath for this review 1. Our reservations were for 12 noon , did not get seated until approximately 12:20ish ( we started with one hostess then ended up with a new girl who had no idea what was going on and we had to point out where our seats should have been based on the 1st girl getting it cleaned mind you it's a shoebox in there so it should not have taken 20 minutes to clean a table for 2! 2. Now.... The same girl who decided to listen to us finally seats us, now is our waitress. Wait there more ..... 3. She did not come to our table for another 10 minutes, then decided to finally to bring a menu 4. Then we waited another 10/15 mins to take an order so we put everything in at once because we don't know when she's coming around again 5. She Got my mans drink wrong, he asked for a long island , he ended up with a rum punch And after she brought the drinks we NEVER saw her again until bill time! 6. We ordered wings, and our entrees WINGS NEVER ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!! Crazy! And the audacity to charge us for it at the end crazy right? 7. Entrees were just blah! My burger just simply crumbled because it was over cooked I asked for medium that was well! And I'm so disappointed My mans baileys waffles were just ok best thing were the few pieces of crumbled chicken not worth the price at all Needless to say I'd never return and will remind other people to stay far away! read more

Okay, first of all, this place exceeded my expectations. I live in the neighborhood and there are only so many hidden gems here. This place happens to be one of them! From the hostess to the servers, to the atmosphere and the decor, it's all so amazing. Let me just tell you that I had an amazing time here. Everyone here was so attentive and caring and it made me feel so at home. Our server, Lilly was an absolute delight. She made us feel very welcomed. I came here on a busy Saturday and although they were super busy the hostess was still able to accommodate us. She even walked around the restaurant to let us know the parking attendant was nearby and to check on our parking meters. The service was quick and the food was really good! We enjoyed the mimosa flights, honey garlic wings and chicken and waffles. I would definitely come back here! Thank you so much for providing our town with this beautiful establishment! read more
