Great experience on my first visit, highly suggest setting an appointment on their website as there was a bit of a wait for walk-ins. The guy at the front of the walk-in line mouthed off a bit to the staff and left when I "cut" him, hopefully hes done some research and figured out what appointments mean by now. Staff had my back and was equally respectful to the other fellow too. Maybe about 5 min after he left, the next counter opened up. I want to begin by saying, before the negative experience I had, I thought this place was going to be my go-to gun shop for any firearm related needs. The guys here were awesome. Very friendly and literally take their time with each customer to answer any questions or concerns even if they're super busy during that time. I came into this shop to transfer a firearm from one private party to another. I was recommended by a previous customer that this was the place to go. The experience was literally painless. From start to finish, it took around 10 min and the price was VERY reasonable. Now onto the negative experience... Prior to picking up my firearm, during the 10 day wait period, I texted the shop (see picture attached) to see if they could align my aftermarket rear sight I previously installed. They agreed that they did have the capability to perform this task. So after receiving my firearm, I asked one of the employees if he could align them for me. He agreed and went to work. Unfortunately, he did not use a press and instead used what sounded like a hammer and what he admitted was a "plastic" punch. He successfully aligned my sight; however, due to his incompetence and lack of proper tools, he marred the side of my sights (see pictures attached). When I confronted the owner about this, the employee denied leaving these marks and said that these marks were on the firearm before he started working on it. He then admitted he used a "plastic" punch to align them. The problem with this is plastic wouldn't have marred the sides and also, he inadvertently admitted that he did not use the proper tool to align my sight. A sight press is needed to align the sight and the owner even admitted that they had one. I didn't come to the store to accuse anyone of anything and get "free sights." I expected a professional store to do a professional job and take pride in their work. Unfortunately, that's not what happened. I agreed to pay half of their cost to purchase the sights. Since they didn't have the sights in stock, they told me they would contact me once the sights are shipped to them. I followed up five days later and was told they were back ordered. I asked if I could get a refund for the amount instead and the owner agreed. Again, I thought this shop was awesome. I recommended it to everyone I knew that was in the area, but after this experience, I'm definitely not coming back and I get the need to write this review to warn others just in case they need some type of gun smithing work done. If you're going to transfer a firearm or purchase one, go right ahead, but steer clear of getting any work done or else... Background: This rear sight was installed with a MGW sight installation tool w/ a slim frame conversion since the firearm required it. I asked if they could align the sights because I did not center them the first time I installed them. Why don't I just align them myself if I have the tool you ask? Well, I only have the slim frame conversion tool in my possession. I borrowed the MGW tool from a family member who is out of the state and refuses to come back until COVID is over. Since I'm an impatient person, I would rather pay someone to align them instead of waiting for who knows how long. I thought that would be significantly cheaper than purchasing a tool I'd most likely only use once. read more

She was on point throughout the entire transfer, and injected some much needed humor to keep the mood light a on a Monday afternoon.
