I found this place by driving by and noticing the sign, I'm glad I stopped. There has a home town cafe vibe and it is filled with friendly faces. Not just the staff but the patrons too. The food was very good and made to order so it comes out nice and hot. Stop by and give them a try!

I had a wonderful experience at the 230 Dinner! The great breakfast, friendly service, and quaint atmosphere was delightful. The Little Pipeliner, their famous breakfast is a must-try. it's always nice to discover a gem worth sharing!

It's fun, relaxed, and the kind of place you can easily lose track of time in. What really stood out early on was the service. Our waitress was not only attentive, but genuinely helpful--honest, informative, and confident in her recommendations. Since there's no drink menu, she guided us toward what they do best, including the espresso martini. I appreciated the direction... but the drink itself didn't quite match the expectation. I was hoping for something silky, rich, and indulgent--almost dessert-like--but it landed closer to a pre-mixed version. Not bad, just not memorable. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced, which makes it approachable without sacrificing variety. Now, the highlight--my Black n' Bleu Delmonico, cooked medium. This dish delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the bleu cheese garlic butter added a savory, melt-in-your-mouth richness that made each bite better than the last. It paired beautifully with the soft baked sweet potato--simple, comforting, and exactly what it needed to be. We started with loaded fries, and honestly... dangerously addictive. Crispy, flavorful, and the kind of appetizer you keep reaching for without realizing how much you've eaten. My husband went with the surf and turf--filet mignon and lobster tail. The lobster was a standout: buttery, tender, and cooked just right. The filet, though cooked to his liking, lacked seasoning and depth. It needed more intention--something to bring it to life beyond just butter. Overall, Gilligan's nails what matters most for a place like this--great atmosphere, strong service, and food that has real moments of excellence. It's the kind of spot you go to unwind, catch a game, and enjoy a solid meal in a lively, welcoming setting.

They tried to meet all of our needs, bring around water, get things to the table at the right time. I can appreciate that. * Minor foible: Each table's food came out unevenly. 6 out of the 8 at our table got fed first. With the next batch, they started giving food to the next table before finishing ours. So the atmosphere was nice, the service was decent, but sadly the food was underwhelming. For this price point I was hoping to get more food on my plate - my lunch was gone within 5 bites and each bite cost multiple dollars. Icing on the cake: Automatic gratuity was 20% instead of the typical 18%. Just for being able to host us and meet our needs, I will round up to 3 stars, but I recommend you drive deeper into Harrisburg for more food at a better value.

I ordered the French dip and she said it was her favorite sandwich. I know why, it's a solid French dip! We got our food in 8 minutes after we ordered, I'm not sure if Joyce said anything to the cooks because I did mention I was starving lol. My partner got a chicken torta - I would call this an Americanized chicken torta. It came on some sort of grain bread. Still tasty, the thinly sliced jalapeños gave it a nice kick. The cafe was fairly busy but service was quick. Do I wish they served fries instead of chips, yes, but beggars can't be choosers. Again, it's airport food but it's pretty good for what it is. I would go back just to say hello to Joyce!

In a slow airport restaurant, every customer matters -- not just for the sale, but for tips and repeat business. Ignoring patrons, responding with passive-aggressive attitudes, and offering sarcastic remarks doesn't just hurt the customer experience, it directly hurts employee earnings and the restaurant's reputation. When staff complain about low tips or slow business but fail to recognize how their own attitude drives customers away, that's not bad luck -- that's bad service. Common sense says that professionalism brings profit, while poor behavior guarantees the opposite. If I was the owner I would be concerned.
