Gilligan's is one of those places you walk into and immediately get it. TVs everywhere--even tucked into the booths--so you never miss a play, a pool table adding just the right touch of energy, and a cozy, come-as-you-are atmosphere that feels like a true locals' spot. It's fun, relaxed, and the kind of place you can easily lose track of time in. What really stood out early on was the service. Our waitress was not only attentive, but genuinely helpful--honest, informative, and confident in her recommendations. Since there's no drink menu, she guided us toward what they do best, including the espresso martini. I appreciated the direction... but the drink itself didn't quite match the expectation. I was hoping for something silky, rich, and indulgent--almost dessert-like--but it landed closer to a pre-mixed version. Not bad, just not memorable. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced, which makes it approachable without sacrificing variety. Now, the highlight--my Black n' Bleu Delmonico, cooked medium. This dish delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the bleu cheese garlic butter added a savory, melt-in-your-mouth richness that made each bite better than the last. It paired beautifully with the soft baked sweet potato--simple, comforting, and exactly what it needed to be. We started with loaded fries, and honestly... dangerously addictive. Crispy, flavorful, and the kind of appetizer you keep reaching for without realizing how much you've eaten. My husband went with the surf and turf--filet mignon and lobster tail. The lobster was a standout: buttery, tender, and cooked just right. The filet, though cooked to his liking, lacked seasoning and depth. It needed more intention--something to bring it to life beyond just butter. Overall, Gilligan's nails what matters most for a place like this--great atmosphere, strong service, and food that has real moments of excellence. It's the kind of spot you go to unwind, catch a game, and enjoy a solid meal in a lively, welcoming setting.

We stopped in for lunch & it was very good. I ordered from the lunch specials, salmon with crab and mornay sauce with rice. It was very tasty. The others in my party ordered the fillet mignon steak sandwich and 1/2 rack of ribs with sweet potato fries. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The ribs were a on the dry side but seasoned well. There was a healthy portion of waffled sweet potato fries that were very good. Add on the fresh baked rolls and Arnold Palmer's to round out a very nice lunch. The decorations were beautiful. I haven't been here for years but I didn't remember that it was so beautiful inside. And our server was excellent, very attentive and fun.

Whether you are looking for a quiet sit down experience or a nice sports lounge, this restaurant is the place to go. I've been coming here for years now and always have a great time. The staff is always friendly, the food always fresh, and I love the quiet, classy atmosphere of the dining room. I highly recommend the lump crab cakes. They are some of the best I have had; even better than some Maryland crab houses I've been to.

The three Gilligan's Bar and Grills are locally owned family-style Irish pub-style restaurants. They offer a full menu for adults and children and daily specials. I love a late afternoon lunch or early dinner when most restaurants aren't crowded. Our server, Jenny, provided the correct number of check-ins for an enjoyable dining experience that was worth it.

Gillian's bar and grill is genuinely one of the best restaurants to pop in on any day at any time. The Ambiance is relaxing and you can tell the guest are regulars which brings a sense of comfortably. It's nice when you can walk into an establishment and just feel welcomed. The service is friendly and attentive, Judy the bartender made sure our drinks were never empty, served in ice cold glasses, and was extremely helpful/ informative on what dishes to enjoy. If you're in the area don't hesitate to stop in.

Gilligan's came highly recommended by the locals. I was told to get the prime rib. The outside of this place is nothing exciting. But I was shocked when I walked in. It was absolutely PACKED! This places was hopping! Mostly all regulars which was fun. I was surprised at how large the inside is. They have pool tournaments on Monday nights. I took everyone's advice and got the Prime rib. Yes. I highly recommend it. I got a side salad with it. They make all their own dressings. That makes a major difference to me and the salad was delicious. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and the baked potato was a nice addition. The bartenders were great especially for how busy they were and everyone was very welcoming. I will absolutely come back!!

Pretty good food and standard sports bar atmosphere with hit or miss service. I've been coming here…read moresince 2017 and the food has always been pretty good. I can't say I've ever had a meal here that knocked my socks off, but I also never had a bad experience with the food either. The service on the other hand, they are consistently inconsistent. This last time, we were there a total of 2 hours, with about 35 minutes eating and the rest of the time waiting to get menus, waiting for our food, and trying to track down our waitress for the check. Sometimes however, I have been in and out in an hour with no issues. If you are considering coming here for the bar experience over the dining, they do have a decent amount of live entertainment throughout the year, as well as a decent bar selection. The above mentioned issues with service still apply however.

After an hour of sitting and waiting for food we had to flag down the waitress. When we inquired about the food the waitress was not helpful at all. Her response was I have no control over whats going on with your food. No apology or management involvement at all. At this point I really had an issue with paying a $400+ bill and getting zero customer service. I went to the bar to request our tables drink tab so we could pay and leave. As I am paying the bar tab the food is all of a sudden ready.... Needless to say I do not recommend paying $65 per person for all you can eat crab to be treated so poorly. Take a pass on this place... Not worth the $$ or frustration.

FREE YOGA. AT A BREWERY. ON HALLOWEEN. Well, that sounds like an adventure with my name written all…read moreover it! Over the summer, I'd developed a pretty impressive habit of finding free yoga classes to attend as part of my adventures. Unfortunately, as summer came to an end, so did my seemingly endless supply of free yoga. RUDE. So when I stumbled across a social media post advertising a FREE Saturday morning yoga class at Boneshire Brew Works, I practically jumped at the opportunity. And here's the funny part. I'd never even heard of Boneshire Brew Works before! Despite living in Central PA for years, this little brewery had somehow managed to escape my attention. But apparently all it takes to get me to discover a new business is the promise of free yoga. Challenge accepted! I reserved my spot through Eventbrite, which was super simple, and showed up a few minutes before 11am on Halloween morning, yoga mat in hand and ready to get my stretch on. Parking was plentiful, with spots right outside the brewery in a small strip mall. No parking adventures required, which Responsible Adult Me always appreciates. And for my fellow solo female adventurers, I'll mention that I had absolutely no concerns about my safety visiting during the day. Don't let the Derry Street address make you nervous if you're unfamiliar with the area. I can't speak to what it's like after dark, but my Saturday morning visit was perfectly comfortable. The class itself was FANTASTIC! Our instructor was wonderful, we started right on time and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. I also really liked the atmosphere of Boneshire, although I imagine the vibe is considerably different when people are drinking beer instead of doing downward dog. Either way, it was a pretty cool setting for a Saturday morning yoga adventure! PRO TIP: The class is FREE, but you MUST register ahead of time through Eventbrite because they limit attendance to 20 people. Bring your own yoga mat, too! And here's where things get interesting. Participants also receive $1 off their first pint and first dibs on bar seating afterward. Boneshire calls it "detox (and retox)," which I think is absolutely hilarious. Yoga first, beer second. BALANCE, PEOPLE! Unfortunately, my adventure schedule didn't allow me to stick around for the "retox" portion of the morning, so I can't tell you anything about their beer or food. Yet. But here's what I CAN tell you. Offering free yoga was a pretty brilliant move on Boneshire's part. Before seeing that social media post, I didn't even know this place existed. Now I've been there, had a wonderful experience and am actively looking for an excuse to come back and spend some money. WELL PLAYED, BONESHIRE! And that's something I genuinely appreciate about businesses that offer fun, accessible community activities. Not every visit has to begin with a purchase. Sometimes, giving people a reason to walk through your door is all it takes to turn a complete stranger into a future customer. I'll absolutely be back for more free yoga as long as Boneshire keeps offering it. And hopefully, one of these Saturdays, my adventure schedule will cooperate long enough for me to stay afterward and investigate the beer and food situation. Because I came for the free yoga, but now I'm curious about everything else. Thanks, Boneshire Brew Works, for a fantastic Halloween morning, a much-needed yoga fix and an introduction to a local business I somehow didn't know existed!

The wings were fantastic, and the burnt string beans were absolutely delicious. The kids finished the meal with the cookie pie à la mode, which was a huge hit! But this place is much more than beer, and I can't recommend it enough. First, there is a bar completely separate from the eating area, so you can choose what experience you want. Second, I've known that all their beers are top notch, which is why I wanted to come here. I'm not an IPA guy, but the black IPA is some top notch stuff that anyone can appreciate. Not super hoppy, really well balanced. Blonde stout is another superb creation, Lancaster gets some depth into it that many other breweries can't manage. Third, if you want food, they learned from the Food Network and limited their menu to just a few choices, all excellently prepared. I ordered the Angry Mac with gator meat. It had excellent flavor, they made it spicier like I asked, and unlike most places they provided plenty of meat. Great quantity and great taste that I wasn't expecting. I tasted my friend's polenta and it was perfectly balanced with some cheese, not too salty. I could eat that for days. Finally, Eva, our waitress? Wonderful. My friend and I were weighing dessert, we wanted a brownie but not the whole hot fudge brownie sundae. Eva made it work and even split it between heated and cold. What a great server. Props to Eva! To get this quality of food, this quality of beer, this quality of service, and this quality of ambiance all in one? No wonder my friend was willing to go two days in a row. I need a Lancaster Brewing in my town.
