Pork burnt ends, brisket, street corn, potato salad along with a Texas Twinkie
Robbie T.

Ooooooooommmmmmmmmggggggg!! So worth the drive!! The restaurant was very homey and laid back. We were greeted by a very sweet lady at the register. The food I will definitely rate high up there with Dayne's!! We ordered the brisket ( couldn't even pick it up because it was soooo tender that it crumbled in my hands) also ordered the pork burnt ends( very tasty) with the sides of the street corn and the potato salad and who could resist a Texas Twinkie?!?! The best sides I have had thus far!! One of the best BBQ places yet!!

Awesome little dive bar in Texas with the best BBQ and friendly staff! Food was quick and the beers were delicious

When the food is this fresh and delicious, I have to put it on the map. This spot serves up barbecue that's truly Yelp-worthy -- I'm giving it a solid 10/10! I ordered the two-meat plate with brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage, plus mac & cheese and loaded potato salad on the side. Every bite was packed with flavor, and honestly, the meat was so good it didn't even need barbecue sauce (though they do have it if you want it). The vibe inside leans more towards a bar atmosphere, but they also offer outdoor seating, which is a nice touch. If you're craving barbecue, make sure this place is on your list -- it's worth the detour!

This was my first time visiting the store front, and it was so cool finally being able to see it! They worked so hard to get to where they are now we will always support!! The food was great like always, they posted they had a special that day and it looked so good we had to get it!! The only thing I wish the potato came with was bbq sauce and sour cream, but that's just me. It was still super flavorful either way! The service was great, the person working the register was so nice, she even remembered my name when I was walking out the door! This is definitely still one of my favorite bbq places in Arlington! Thank you guys for everything y'all do

It was my first time trying this spot, the food was great, service was prompt and the ambiance was welcoming.

Chipotle nachos

Eaten at 225 several times over the years. Think every visit was when they were parked at Division brewing. Always liked the bbq, but it got to where my visits were mostly to try something new they were touting on Facebook or whatever. Best thing I like about 225 is the non bbq, bbq stuff they make. They just opened in their building, I was out running errands and decided to go check them out. Early afternoon on a weekend. Not super busy, good for me, I looked at the menu above the register. I really was just going to grab a sandwich, but honestly didn't see any sandwiches offered on the menu. Maybe I just missed it, but before I could ask, I was intrigued by the Chipotle nachos. Cashier wasn't sure what was on them, which was a little amusing, but I stopped her and just asked "there is some kind of meat on them, right?" when she nodded and said yes, I told her that was good enough for me. I got a soda from the fountain (No Coke, Pepsi!...but I drink DP anyway) and grabbed a seat at the bar. They saw my number and dropped off my nachos soon after. It was a pretty big pile, plenty for two. I saw the meat was pulled pork, with lots of cheese, and a few other veggie type things, with a sauce (chipotle probably) drizzled on top of everything. They were really good, and not skimpy on the meat. I finished off a pretty good amount of them. My only issue is the chips they use are thick, which is probably good to put off the chips getting soggy quickly, but I still prefer thinner chips. Not a deal breaker, I would get the nachos again. Inside is pretty barren. I think the two pool tables must be leftover from when it was Mavericks sports bar. Doesn't look like they changed much. But I come for the food, not the ambiance. They have birria tacos, think I saw birria ramen, several other regular, non bbq menu items. I remember when they did the pork belly sandwiches, those things were great. No booze, but BYOB. Anyway, glad to see them in a nice, air conditioned space. Over the years I would pass by during summer months because it was just to hot to sit outside.

Was scrolling social media and saw a post about the day's special of a Burger, side and 2 birria tacos for $20. We have been meaning to go here so many times and decided today was the day. My husband got the special and I got 1/2lb brisket, cherry bomb and a Texas Twinkie. Our food was absolutely outstanding. There was not one single thing I tried that wasn't delicious. They have recently moved from a food truck to a brick and mortar so the inside is still a work in progress but they have lots of seating, tvs and it's clean. My food came out pretty quick and service was friendly. I am kicking myself for not trying them out all the other times I thought about it. If this is you......GO NOW

Two tacos, two meat, two sides, two drinks $32... absolutely fantastic, authentic Mexican and Texas BBQ collaboration

We were fortunate five this place down in Arlington near our hotel and AT&T stadium. You sure you check their hours before you go. They're closed Monday and Tuesday. We had two tacos, two meats and two sides for under $30. Good portions absolutely amazing food. Fantastic collaboration between authentic Mexican and Texas barbecue

Got the birria quesadilla with macaroni and cheese.

This place just opened a month ago. They don't have alcohol just yet. It is BYOB until they get alcohol I think. Very open space. Lots of TVs. Over all chill and awesome place!! Service was great. You order at the counter.

I recommend the…read moreTex-Ethiopian platter for a thorough sampling of all the best things this restaurant offers! It includes: Smoked Doro Wat (Spicy Chicken Stew), Awaze Rib Tip Tibs, Awaze Brisket, Awaze Pork Ribs, your choice of 2 sides, Texas Toast, gluten-free teff injera, and rice pilaf! The hardest part is choosing the sides because they're all amazing, from classic BBQ sides like potato salad, fried okra, baked beans, corn, collard greens, and mac and cheese to Ethiopian sides like shiro wat (chickpea stew), misir wat (red lentil stew), tikil gomen (cabbage and carrots), and more. Even berbere-spiced mac and cheese! Berbere is an incredible blend of Ethiopian spices that is amazing on everything, savory or sweet. If it's just me eating with no one to share, I like to get the Big Ash loaded baked potato. Your choice of meat on a perfectly fluffy hot potato with plenty of butter and sour cream -- it's soooo comforting and delicious!

I expected "knock your socks off" but got very good food instead. I expected a packed dining room but at 12:30 it was almost empty. We ordered the sample plate for 2 which included ribs, brisket, rib tips, and doro wat (chicken stew) with rice, injera and we got beefy collard greens and cabbage with carrots sides. The ribs were excellent. I also really liked the chicken stew. I was surprised by the sour flavor of the injera. The thin bbq sauce was tasty while it was not sweet or full of vinegar. It was a nice alternative to traditional sauces. While we enjoyed our meal, and I would order the ribs and chicken stew again, this place is a bit too far for a repeat. But it introduced me to Ethiopian food which I can find closer to home. I love the creativity of the owners.

While we had a plan going in to ordering, we still overestimated ourselves. We wanted to get a little of a lot of things and definitely would've ordered less. (However, we're proponents of savoring and appreciating the few bites you have - which is hard to quantify when you're ordering by the pound). The pork belly was easily our favorite (a surprise for us); I liked it without the peach glaze and he liked it with. Both sides of the brisket were phenomenal and the smoke ring was thick. Ribs were delicious but by this point we were wishing we split one. The slaw I was initially feeling would be underwhelming but it perfectly cut through the grease and fat of the meat. The potato salad was Dijon forward which I usually wouldn't be a fan of but this was done with balance. The bread. Tangy and chewy and wow a big surprise on how delicious it was. We asked if we could sample the turkey (but ordering turkey wasn't part of our plan) and can honestly say it was the best turkey I've ever had at a BBQ place and they threw in a slice for us. Banana pudding. Get it. I think it's worth the wait in line for sure. Bring a snack, a drink, a book , or game to play and you'll notice the time flying by like we did. (Although we didn't go when the weather was insanely hot or sunny)

We came at noon on a gloomy Thursday morning and we were able to sit down and eat our food at 1pm. Service was quick! Staff was extremely friendly and hilarious, making the experience a good one from top to bottom. Great job, team. Barbecue was TO DIE for. Some of the best I've had in all of DFW. It's a bold claim, I know, but you've gotta go try it for yourself. Brisket was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth, the jalapeño cheddar sausage was amazing, and the sides were PHENOMENAL. Great mac and cheese. The space is clean, small, and cozy. Would love for more seating for the sake of the line, but I understand the hype and exclusivity appeal. Very southern, very mobile-home, very cool. Well done.

I came back on early Saturday evening after a nice cooling rain. It was pleasantly not crowded. I got a couple of empanadas from one truck and a couple of smash burgers from another. Both items were delicious. When I go back, I want to try something from the hibachi grill. I got an Oakcliff smashburger and my son enjoyed a Dallas. We loved our burgers. You could tell they were made fresh with chunks of avocado and bacon for me! The empanadas were good if a bit small. The dough pocket could have been premade, so I'll have to try something else from that food truck. That's the beauty and draw of a food truck park as pi your able to try have what you want and still eat together! I hope people come out and give this place a try. I honestly thought it was hilarious that they were hyping up a baked potato that much, until I stepped into Rudy's and tasted it for myself. Now I get it. The options are endless, and I can genuinely say I did not try a single bad thing. Everything was so good that I completely forgot to use the barbecue sauce, and that should tell you something. The peppered tenderloin is an absolute must. Moist, flavorful, and mouthwatering, I'm still thinking about it. The baked potato lived up to every bit of the hype and then some. The service was smooth and efficient, with so much space inside that you could find your own little area. The atmosphere is classic Texas barbecue, casual and welcoming. I picked it up on Wednesday and on a Thursday after heating it up as I unwrapped it was a Turkey breast. We were all looking forward to brisket but ate it since it was the only main entrée. I say this because after my experience with the manager Erin, she made me feel we were not suppose to eat it and return it in whole. I called on Friday since they were closed on Thursday. The manager asked me to bring the turkey breast leftovers I had so she could replace it with the brisket. I got upset and explained it's 1/2 gone. She said I understand but you need to bring it. I told her I would be there in 30 mins and hung up. I was in disbelief but still gave them the benefit I thought she needs to see prove. I arrived and the whole situation went horrible on their part. I maintained civil but now I regret it. A young lady acknowledge me and knew who I was. She took my turkey breast leftovers. I waited for awhile and I could see that Erin didn't know how to handle the situation because she involved other employees. I started to feel uncomfortable like all Earles were on me. I maintained my composure. And then Erin and another guy walked over to me, they didn't apologize nor seemed concerned as if they were being inconvenient. They just asked "You have your receipt". I showed it to them from my phone, she took my phone and observed as she expected me to be lying. I told her " I only ordered brisket not sure how they could get this wrong". She just mumbled, handed my phone and they all walked back to the prepping area. Waited for a bit finally she come to the front register and I walked over to her and she says "Was this the only order you had that day". Now I got upset and got loud told her "Yes it was my first and last time I will order from here". She then proceed to explain why the amount of brisket was being given to me. I cutt her off told "Let's just get this over with". I grabbed the bag and told her "I will be calling corporate and giving a review". Mostly I was disappointed and pissed at their behavior. I felt as if I did something wrong. They kept my leftovers, I don't understand that part. An apology goes a long way....sure didn't get one from management.
