It was ok. We were there for a rehearsal dinner on a Friday night. We were seated outside and I froze to death. Those space heaters didn't help much even though I was sitting next to one. Well, not sitting but standing because the metal chairs made sitting impossible. I got fish tacos and they were meh. The fish had thick layer of batter on it, obviously it was taken out of the freezer and dropped into a fryer. Flourless chocolate cake was also meh, I liked the ice cream but it was too cold outside to eat it. Service was good, servers were running around the whole night making sure we were fed and our drink glasses were full. I wish I had better experience but oh well, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Five stars all the way!!! We emailed this restaurant in advance to book a reservation for a party of 16. They were extremely quick to respond and very courteous They sat us immediately upon our arrival. Every person in our large party had nothing but great things to say. Eating here was actually the highlight of our trip. I had the ahi tuna, ceviche and empanada starters. Omg you have to try the empanadas cheesy and full of shrimp. Delish!! This restaurant enforced covid protocols including requiring face masks anytime you leave the table. They are also very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and will also recommend to friends! read more

What a find. Have not been to Temecula for years so our group decided to go for brunch. LOVED this place. We felt safe and the restaurant obviously took great care to make everyone feel safe and welcomed. There is a bit of a wait but stick around it's worth your wait! Nice menu I had the ribeye hash with poached eggs. YUM!!!! Our waiter, Josh was spot on. Attentive and knowledgeable and all suggestions we good for an indecisive member of our party. Do yourself a favor and ask for Josh! Only complaint was the constant load motorcycle and old cars on parade. It added to the entertainment! We will be going back soon. read more

the food is ok! You won't leave upset because the food isn't good. But it's average very average but has high prices. They really only offer burgers and while my burger was good my husbands Bison burger was eh... he kept dipping it in ranch and he's not that kind of guy. Our server was nice and attentive. Came in for lunch but couldn't decide what I wanted so we ordered appetizers and man was it one of the best decisions. The empanadas was my favorite. The mussels tasted great. I went with 12 friends. We were at Luke's just before had one drink each for my 30th birthday. Than we walked to 1909. One of my good friends had one of there fire wisely drinks and showed off by throwing it back but coughed a bit and it didn't go down all the way lol. Well after that this obviously unquestionably in qualified manager Jessie Cosme decided all 12 of us can't be served any alcohol. She said I'm perfectly fine but I will not serve you or anyone at your table. I just sat down and waited 30 minutes for my drink. I had to find the manager to find out my drink wasn't coming because my friends drink went down the wrong pipe. I will never go back to this place as I'm also a manger of A major brewery restaurant and I would never treat costumers so wrongly. read more

My experience at 1909 was good. Loved the food and presentation. Very aesthetically pleasing. Definitely a fun place to dine in with family or friends. The drinks were good and the staff were welcoming and nice. The location of this establishment was amazing as well. Loved being able to eat and then walk around the area to visit the shops and stores. Definitely recommend stopping by and trying their food. read more

I used to come here all the time but in the last few months the food quality has really gone down hill. Their Korean wings tasted like 100% like soy sauce. No other flavor to them at all. Fries had no seasoning and were very bland. The birria tacos had no birria juice to dip in, and most of it was fatty meat. I will say the drinks are always good but I can't say that for their food. read more

I've never done a review before but after visiting 1909 I had to!!! The food was absolutely amazing and the drinks were also super good! (I got the Tiki Tok) It was my first time here and our server Josh was very helpful and recommended a couple different things to me. (I am super indecisive and he was very patient) It was very busy when we went but he still made us feel taken care of. Definitely have to take a drive down to Temecula again just to enjoy the food and service! Thank again Josh :) read more

She was able to answer any questions we had about the fettuccine and even had some good add ons to the food like adding bacon to the burgers. She let us know that the fettuccine is spicy and explained the name meant spicy sauce. If you don't like spicy foods, I wouldn't go with that even though it was so good. Her letting us know that it's spicy saved my girlfriend from a bad night. With the addition to the good food, drinks, and service I believe the manager was even going around to make sure that we were okay. It was our first time here and we will absolutely be back.

Half price of $75 was sooo worth it!!! Finally, we loved the wedge salad that was new on their menu. Perhaps the best wedge salad we have had! (We always order wedge salad where available and compare them all since). They put the actual pancetta as opposed to crispy bacon which other restaurants do. They have this "Thursday Date Night" menu that we want to try one of these days. So you bet we will be back!!!

Been a good 24 months since my last visit. Monday business lunch with an associate. We sat at the bar, as tables all looked to be full. Bartender took our order. Settled on the chicken sandwich at $14++. Ordered the Caesar salad as the side. First impression; Came out FAST - perhaps 6 to 8 minutes. Huh? Grilled chicken sammy that quick? Not a solid grilled breast, but a couple sections. Was it pre-grilled and then held in a warmer? I don't know, just wondering. Served on a brioche roll with the signature "1909" branded into the top. Cute touch. Unfortunately, don't just want cute, I want good (and quality). Oh, bartender was running orders. Before she disappeared, didn't provide us with napkins or utensils. Minor issue, but a basic expectation. Someone else served the plates. Didn't know who had what. Always sticks in my craw when they have to ask. She was gone before we noticed missing utensils so we flagged down another staff member to provide them to us. Training, training, training (or lack thereof). I had a sandwich here previously on the brioche. Same experience this time as before. The bread falls apart easily and seems not fresh to me. Perhaps that is just brioche, or perhaps it is just 1909 brioche. Not again here. I now know if I am back, won't be ordering anything on this type of roll. Caesar salad has actual anchovies (which I didn't immediately notice) topping very limp, soggy lettuce. Be aware if you are not a whole anchovy fan. Can't comment on the taste of the dressing, as I chewed my first bite of salad it was overwhelmed by the saltiness. Big Caesar fan, so very disappointed. Also pre-made to overcome a lunch rush timing issue? Ate a few bites and that was it. Lastly, consistently batting flies away from the food as I ate. Not just one or two, more like five or more. Also, 105 degree day and one end of the building is completely open. Beware, as it overwhelms any a/c system and can be very uncomfortable on a hot day like this, plus if the flies are not originating inside the building, they receive an open invitation based upon the building layout. Really want to like 1909, but my three visits have all been mediocre. Sorry. read more

1909 is hands down one of our absolute favorite places in Old Town Temecula. Every single time we come here, we leave impressed. The menu is incredibly unique and eclectic, and honestly, I have never ordered something I didn't love. Everything is consistently SO good. Whether you're coming for brunch, dinner, appetizers, or drinks, there are so many creative options that make you want to keep coming back just to try something new. The drink menu is equally amazing. They always have such fun specialty cocktails and themed drinks, and I absolutely love how they do pop-up events and themed nights where they completely change up the menu to match the occasion. It makes every visit feel different and exciting, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into creating a fun experience for their guests. Whenever we have friends or family visiting from out of town, this is one of the first places we bring them because it never disappoints. Everyone is always blown away by the atmosphere, the food, and the overall vibe. It somehow manages to be the perfect spot for literally any occasion, whether you're celebrating a bachelorette party, grabbing drinks with friends, having date night, or bringing the whole family with young kids. It's energetic and fun without feeling overwhelming, and it really has something for everyone any day of the week. One of the biggest reasons we continue coming back is the staff and management team. Their customer service is genuinely outstanding. went back for 2nd time last night (Tuesday)- first experience was a 5 star winner for great food and service. Once again, we are told it was there soft opening but the place is packed- My wife was in the restaurant business for over 15 years and a soft opening should have limited seating so the staff/kitchen can have time to work there kinks out. It can take up to 6 months for a restaurant this size to work out all the kinks. Last night instead of a 5 star experience, we had a 1 star experience for food and service. Wife and I sat at the bar and waited 10 minutes for a bartender to offer us a drink. After we ordered drink- it took another 5+ minutes to receive it and instead of Vodka Tonic- they put soda water- it then took another 5+ minutes to correct that issue. We then decide to sit outside and have dinner- they have what I consider to be the best "thought out-creative" menu in Temecula - We ordered the chicken wings which were outstanding the first time we had them- but get the wings and instead of the Whiskey glaze they had on them the first time we ate- they have some lousy store bought hot sauce glaze - why would you change something that was so good the first time- hence I inquired with our waitress why these were different and found out the owners fired the head chef and were making changes to the menu- the server also told us no one understood why the chef was fired because the food and menu have been so successful-. you could tell she wasn't excited about the food any longer - what a shame as everyone we know who has been here has raved about the food. I came here to have dinner with my husband on date night. We sat at the bar and we were having drinks and dinner. The food we ordered was ok at best and the drinks at the bar were taking extremely long to come even though we were seated at the bar. I don't write reviews but I had to write one because of what I encountered while sitting there...I was seated next to a couple of young gentleman to my left...they were so rudely treated that I was shocked that this happens in 2019. They were waiting at the bar for awhile and when they finally got their drink they paid for it and started chatting with each other. They tried to order another drink but the manager Zach came up and started to speak to the in a very rude tone...I could tell by the young guys faces that they were caught off guard. I was taken aback by the rude manner of the manager, the young guys asked for the manager which Zach replied in a condescending tone that he was the manager and told the young gentleman they could leave and were not gonna be served anymore...The manager was extremely rude and I don't know what prompted this behavior...I was so upset my husband and I left our phone number on the receipt and waited for someone to call us...this behavior was uncalled for and I honestly don't know what prompted it..all I can say is SHAME ON YOU ZACH. I am sad that this behavior is ongoing in 2019...I don't want to say these people were discriminated against but thats what it seemed like. Great location. I have visited the restaurant many times and always had great food and service. The Bison burger is probably the best I have ever had. However, up until last night I would have rated the restaurant a 5 star. I do feel I need to share my 1 star experience that we had yesterday evening. After my girlfriend and I had dinner I ran into a good a friend and they were celebrating a special day. I wanted to treat her to a drink to celebrate so on our way out we quickly stopped by the bar area. We were greeted by a young male that took our drink order. After waiting for a few moments and watching several people come in after us receive their drinks I grabbed the guys attention to ask about her drink and he tells us that he can't take order (come to find out he was only a bar back but pretending to be a bartender). When I asked him why would he pretend to take our orders if he couldn't serve us. He became very rude even laughing at us so I asked to speak to a manager the manager came up to me and informed us that he will not serve me but will serve my friend with a matter of fact attitude. I was completely taken by surprise and embarrassed in front of my friends and other people at the bar. If we were being rude or intoxicated I could understand but we had just finished dinner and were headed home. The restaurant is great but I will not recommend visiting the bar. There are many other establishments in old town that are friendly and welcoming. This happened on 7-30 around 10:00pm. read more

This place offers fantastic food, incredible drinks, and the holiday decorations are absolutely on point! We've been here before and enjoyed the burgers and beer, which were great. This time, we expanded our selection and tried a variety of dishes, including the Korean chicken, fried deviled eggs, and the ribeye with veggies and rice. The Korean chicken is absolutely mouthwatering - you'll definitely crave it later. The rice, soaked in the juices from the veggies and ribeye, was perfectly done and added so much flavor. As for the ribeye, it was cooked to perfection. You can't go wrong with a ribeye, but somehow, places still manage to mess it up. Not here though - they nailed it. We also tried their "shots for tots" (such a fun concept!) and I really hope the money goes to the right place. The shots were delicious, and their drinks were just as impressive. I'm from the Midwest, and while California's cocktail game can be hit-or-miss, this place absolutely gets it right. The drinks are perfectly balanced - not too strong but still give you a nice buzz without overpowering the flavor. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this place - I'm really impressed. It was busy, so the service was a bit lacking, but that's to be expected during peak times. I just wish our table had been checked on a little more, as that would've elevated the experience to perfection. We hosted our rehearsal brunch at 1909 Temecula, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The staff was so communicative and accommodating throughout the planning process, which made everything feel stress-free. The food was amazing - the fish tacos were a standout, and guests are still talking about them! The cocktails were also delicious, perfectly crafted and just what we needed for a celebratory afternoon. Service was top-notch; the team was attentive and thoughtful, anticipating needs before we even had to ask. One moment that really stood out: we had forgotten a sign holder for our welcome sign and had it propped up to the side. A staff member noticed and immediately brought out a stand without us even saying anything - such a small gesture, but it really made us feel taken care of. We were seated on the semi-private front patio, which had a great vibe and worked well for our group. I highly do NOT recommend this establishment! The reviews are absolutely misleading! I CALLED to confirm if I could RESERVE A TABLE by phone. They told me no, you can't make a reservation by phone, only by standing in line outside. I clarified how long the wait was, and they said 5-7 minutes. Fine. I'm with two kids, so I head over. When I arrive, they tell me the wait is 1 hour and 15 minutes. I made a reservation for 5 people and came back after 1 hour and 15 minutes, only to be told, "Oh, your reservation is for 2 people," and that I would have to wait an additional 1 hour and 50 minutes. I was in complete shock. The hostesses were absolutely unprofessional and had no understanding of customer service or hospitality! On top of that, there were empty tables in the dining area, but we weren't even offered the option to sit there. It was as if they just didn't care about accommodating us. I asked for the manager, and a man with a beard came out. When I explained that we had been deceived, he didn't even listen and simply said, "Wait another 15 minutes," and left! This is blatant dishonesty! Train your staff to give truthful information over the phone. Okay so if you're sleeping on 1909 in Old Town Temecula, WAKE UP because this place is absolutely it. We rolled in on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate a friend's birthday and left with full bellies, big smiles, and zero regrets. We went full send on the menu and ordered the mini burger sliders, whipped espresso french toast (excuse me?? SO good), fried chicken Benny, and a smashburger. Every single thing was a hit and the portions are absolutely massive. Like, come hungry. Seriously. The service was speedy, friendly, and just all around great. No long waits, no wrong orders, just good vibes all around. We snagged a table on the patio and honestly the people-watching alone is worth the visit. Old Town does not disappoint as a backdrop. AND THEN. At the end of the meal our server came out with a dessert drink float topped with a sparkler, completely on the house, just to celebrate our friend's birthday. We sang Happy Birthday right there on the patio and it was the cutest thing ever. I visited 1909 right after Christmas, and it was such a vibe! The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays, creating a festive and cozy atmosphere that really set the tone for a great experience. The ambiance alone was worth the visit--it felt like stepping into a holiday wonderland. For food, I ordered the chilaquiles, which were delicious and satisfying. We also shared the Korean chicken, which came in huge pieces lol --perfect for sharing, but a little too sweet for my liking. On top of that, we indulged in a couple of their specialty Christmas drinks, which were not only festive but also flavorful. They even had $5 Christmas shots, which added an extra fun touch to the holiday vibe! Overall, the food was good, and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I couldn't help but wonder what the vibe is like outside of the holiday season, but I'm already looking forward to coming back and experiencing it again. First time here and I was very impressed with the food. It was knock your socks off delicious. Ginger Sea bass, smoked lengua, pesto, charcuterie, oysters - all of it was so well prepared and to die for. This is a 5 star restaurant with great bar and relaxing atmosphere and we definitely plan to return. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the service. Very nice young gentleman served us and he was mostly on point. However, when our waters got low, we weren't offered refills for quite a while. When I finally asked for refills, he only refilled mine and not my gf and didn't even ask her. I'm gonna excuse that as lack of experience maybe and hope he learns from this. And also, I ordered the chili and blue cornbread to go and when I got home, no cornbread. I love cornbread so I was pretty disappointed. I'm a restaurant owner and manager myself so I will be both a tough critic and also forgiving. So I'm not looking for freebies or anything like that. Shit happens. I'm over it. My husband and I stopped by for some dinner before an appointment, we were going to go to Blackbird Tavern but after finding out it was closed on Mondays decided to walk around and find another spot and i'm so glad we did! 1909 has a great feel, it's very open, friendly and modern, kinda like a rustic gastro pub. The bar was huge, we did not partake in any libations but we will definitely be back to do just that! I saw on their dessert menu they have beer floats with Cali Creamin' and i'm super excited to try that! I got the fish tacos, they were HUGE and delicious with a little kick. My hubby got the Chicken Sammie and he said it was awesome, especially with the garlic mayo, but the clear winner was the french fries with bacon salt... BACON SALT. Dinner was fantastic. If it's a warm day/evening we recommend sitting out on their enormous patio, it was so great to watch the sun set over Old Town and watch the night life take shape. 5 Stars - A Must-Visit Brunch Spot in Old Town! We had an amazing experience at 1909 in Temecula Old Town! From the moment we were seated, our server Amy made us feel incredibly welcome. She was friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations -- a true gem of the staff! We ordered the Ube French Toast, the Espresso French Toast, and the Birria Hash -- and everything was phenomenal. The Ube French Toast was as beautiful as it was delicious, with a perfect touch of sweetness and a fun twist you don't find just anywhere. The Espresso French Toast was rich, bold, and indulgent -- like your favorite morning coffee transformed into dessert. It had a deep flavor without being too heavy, and it paired perfectly with the rest of the meal. I've been a frequent guest at 1909 because I've always loved the atmosphere, food, and drinks here. However, my most recent visit was a major disappointment and a far cry from the service I usually expect. I came in specifically to try the new Valentine's Day themed menu I saw advertised online. I sat at the bar to unwind, but the service was incredibly dismissive. Despite asking about the new specials, I was ignored by the staff and eventually had to find a sign myself just to see what was available. The bartender seemed more interested in chatting with a colleague than attending to guests; my drink took a significant amount of time to arrive, and unfortunately, it wasn't worth the wait. While the presentation was cute, it tasted like watered-down strawberry juice with no real flavor profile. To top it off, my food arrived without utensils or napkins. It doesn't even have a name..it's original. This young man is truly gifted! I will go next month to Temecula for the sole purpose of enjoying another experience at 1909. Ill be the first to admit that I'm not a big "yelper"...but...my lady still hasn't stopped talking about this place and its already been a week! We originally just came in for drinks and apps, but 2 hours later we ended up with a full meal literally under our belt. We started with the wings and I think it was the Harissa style...not only were they awesome but I was at the point where I didn't care that I had sauce all over my face. I just wanted to lick my fingers clean! Then after that, we started chatting up our server...I think his name was Chris. He was totally cool, and wasn't annoyed but our constant question asking. We were just so curious about the rest of the menu, even though we weren't that hungry. Ultimately, we ended up splitting the 1909 Burger and it DAMN good! I am so ready to come back to this place because I want to try everything on the menu. Seriously, this place rocks...everything from the Amazing Service, Awesome Food, and overall atmosphere. I read another review about the ube waffle and I have to agree with them. I was expecting more ube flavor. It was decorated pretty with the flowers but the flavor just wasn't there. Out of everything I ordered the blue velvet pancakes were my favorite. They were soft and fluffy. The cinnamon roll pancake was for my husband. I did like that they like you order pancakes à la carte so you don't have to do full orders of everything and get to try everything. Crème brûlée French toast was ok too. To be fair I'm not sure if it's because we had to take it to go. With that said when taking to go, the pancakes were still good. Waffle not so much but to me it also lacked that one flavor. My husband ordered a margarita and our waitress recommended peach and she was right. Peach margarita tasted yummy as I took a sip to try it. We came around 2pm and there was plenty of seating inside available. We were able to find parking in the shopping center easily. I absolutely loved our choice! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the food. Our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. They also have outdoor seating, which made for a really nice and relaxing atmosphere, also you can bring your furry babies which I love! Between the great food, friendly service, and pleasant ambiance, we had a wonderful time. We'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this restaurant!

So don't eat this unless you're a savory/sweet combo person! Worth the $1.50 to get the sour cream. I love that they have a sweet potato fry or onion ring upgrade for $1.00. I always choose sweet potato for the Monte Cristo, it's the best option. But I'll have to try the onion rings some time. There are tons of breakfast and lunch options, since they're only open til 2:00 everyday. They are also known for their bakery. Cinnamon or pecan rolls that are the size of a dinner plate! You have to slice them like a loaf of bread, lol. Also available are cookies, croissants, etc. Everything I've tried has been delicious. Staff is friendly and efficient, event when they're busy. My recent visit was at noon on a Wednesday, and I was all done in under 45 minutes! And the restaurant was pretty full, since it's only the one large room. Decor is fun, in the old-timey "why did grandma collect all this stuff?" motif, lol. Comfy booths around the perimeter with tables inside and a counter back left. And parking is fairly easy in the small shopping center, but you may have to park a little ways away if they're particularly busy.
