He only gave us a chance to order one drink, and when he did bring the drinks he brought over my husband's drink wrong right off the rip. Then the food came my pasta tasted like a five-year-old made it. It was two garlic. All the butter was at the bottom. The pasta itself was dry and my chicken look like someone just shredded it up and threw it on top. The chicken was wicked dry too. My husband's pot roast was OK but it didn't blow my pants off for the price that it was. To top it off our sweaty waiter, then brings over a cheesecake that I didn't even order. I said I might be interested in it and he just brings it over. I didn't want it. Two different couples left their tables and left the restaurant without even receiving food. All upset we should've left with them. Do not go to this place. It smells like cat piss. Super disappointed because we're on vacation and we were looking forward to this very romantic night I should've read the reviews so if you're thinking about going to this place, do not go

We recently celebrated a very important occasion at Edgar's Restaurant at Belhurst Castle and…read moreunfortunately left extremely underwhelmed and disappointed. Despite making our reservation months in advance, our table was not ready when we arrived. Once seated we then waited over 15 minutes before anyone greeted us, and after finally getting a waiter's attention, we felt rushed into ordering both drinks and dinner at the same time because service had already been so delayed. Throughout the evening we repeatedly had to ask for basic things, including bread, which we were told was coming but never arrived. The wait for food was extremely long, drink refills took far too long, and meals came out in stages, leaving some of our party's food getting cold while waiting for everyone else to be served. By the end of dinner, we chose to skip dessert and after-dinner drinks because we had already been there nearly an hour and a half. Our plates were never cleared before the check arrived, and while we understand an automatic gratuity was added for a large party, it was frustrating to pay such a significant tip after receiving poor service and a noticeable attitude from our waiter once he realized how unhappy we were. The property itself is beautiful, but the disappointing service, underwhelming food, and lack of concern from staff made this a very disappointing experience. Sadly, we will not be returning for another celebration or special dinner.

I don't even know where to begin, this place was excellent. When planning our trip to Seneca Lake,…read moreSmoking Petes was the one restaurant that came up time and time again. It's a fan favorite on Reddit, and our hotel recommended the restaurant as well. When you drive past, there's always a parking lot full of cars for good reason. When you enter Smokin Petes, you place your order and they give you a pager. You can sit at the bar, there's plenty of indoor seating, but I definitely recommend taking advantage of their outdoor seating if the weather permits. Just based on the vibes indoors and out, you know you're in for a treat. Considering it was a Friday, the line to order and amount of cars coming in and out of the lot, our food was ready surprisingly quickly. For a starter we order wings in Alabama white. For our entrees we ordered their two meat combos, both opting for their brisket and ribs. For our sides we tried their mac & cheese, coleslaw, tater tots & garlic parmesan salt potatoes. Everything was excellent. The meat was cooked to perfection - the seasoning. On the ribs had a nice kick. The sides were fresh and definitely not diet friendly. The portions were decent, and we ended up taking home leftovers that made their way back to Long Island. By far one of the best, casual, places I've gone to eat.

The kids tried broccoli salad had a nice flavor but I had mostly the hard parts and not much the flurets. Mac and cheese was good, salt potatoes are assume. My husband liked the slaw, thou he likes it with pineapple. He was not overly thrilled with mac salad. Drinks I tried were the blueberry smash. Very tasty. Not that thrilled with the peach drink that was 25 dollars. But I drank it. Tastes more like a Ice tea drink. Service is good. They take your order at the bar with a designated area to wait in line. Give you a buzzer to pick it up at the window. They have a condiment area to get soda, utensils, sauce sides and so on. They have seating inside and out side. You can play with games they have set up. Inside it decorated with old and new signage. They have a book of bourbon selection. Bar stools chairs and tables, booths and high top tables. People clean up after themselves. Kid friendly. People are friendly. Most of the times we went they were busy or at least a steady flow of customers. If you get a chance to stop here to eat you will not ve disappointed!!

Could be all the wine in me talking (though I don't think so from the way everyone was chowing down), but this was some Grade A BBQ! Pulled pork was laced with sauce - sweet, sticky, not the least bit dry... the spare ribs were so tender, Smokey and flavorful and honestly not a whole lot of fat... and the brisket, well it melted in your mouth. Honestly - just way too good! Drinks. Food. Service. Company - 10 for 10!

Coming in on a Tuesday night, the place was busy and the wait was about 30 minutes -- but there was free seating at the bar. Fair enough, not many restaurants were even open in Geneva on a Tuesday. The food was solid -- nothing extraordinary, but nothing to complain about either, and the presentation on those big plates is genuinely fun. The lady bartender had her hands full preparing drinks while also serving everyone seated at the bar, including food orders. It was sometimes hard to catch her attention, but overall she did a great job juggling it all. What really bothered me: the owner (CB) is one of the few Master Sommeliers in the world and a big promoter of the FLX wine region (which I love), so can anyone explain why a glass of FLX wine costs about 40% more than a glass of California or even Australian wine? That's not exactly "Think NY, Drink NY" -- despite those charming stickers around the restaurant (which I do love).
