Went a few years ago, and it was pretty good. While my memory is fuzzy, I did have some decent scallops, and the salad was good.

The service has always been excellent. The ambience is casual and comfortable. Everyone I've ever brought there feels the same way. Chef Brian creates incredibly tasty and imaginative dishes. They create every dish from scratch so please be patient but we never have to wait that long and the wait is always pleasant because we enjoy where we are.

I was low key having a rough time after working so late but this incredible meal turned things around: the strawberry salad was so fresh and well-balanced and I simply couldn't NOT order something from their meat case in the front, which offers local cuts. I got the tenderloin medium rare with broccolini and mashed potatoes. They did something TRULY special here. Goat cheeseinthemash. Or something. Like a blue cheese that was a goat cheese? Idk but it was truly genius. I haven't stopped thinking about it. My waitress was also tending the bar and did an amazing job, I felt so well looked after and the bar patrons stayed entertained. I only saw her visiting the various tables so props for handling that many people solo! I kinda can't wait to come back up here for work if it means I get to visit this place when I mentioned I planned to go to sackett's table for dinner, my customer immediately knew I was in for a great time. When you have such a good rep with locals and visitors, it's bc you're doing something right.

Before you read this review. I want to preface this with, I have only been there once. EVERY…read morerestaurant in existence has had days where things they cannot control happen. I will definitely go back, and eat from their food menu, and take pics. I didn't take any pics, because our experience didn't seem to align with all the 4 and 5 star reviews. which signals to me, that our experience may not have been a normal experience. We had never been and had not heard much about it. I checked out their website first. Which is a fun looking website. It appeared to be a diner that also sold ice cream. We pulled in, there were outside tables set up under shaded canopies. Lots of space for kids to run around We noticed the front had a walk up and order Ice cream window. Past that was the door to the restaurant part. The restaurant inside area was small, The menu sounded amazing. Chili dogs, fried hot dogs, they had some interesting hot dog ideas, as well as Hamburgers, fish plates etc. shakes, Ice cream. Very laid back atmosphere. If you have kids, it will be a super, affordable win. It definitely has its place in Lodi, and I do see they are a big success with Ice Cream and take out. Which is what I wish we did. The first thing that hit us when we walked in was the smell of fish, it was a super strong offensive odor. I looked to my right and saw a few people at the table with fish baskets. I thought to myself, that must be where the odor was coming from. But wondered why they smelled so bad. We sat down, ooh'ed and ahhh'd over the menu, but still nose crinkled over the odor of fish. We decided that the kitchen must not have good ventilation either and we were smelling every fish fry they had cooked that day, and maybe even more days. I do not recommend eating inside. Then we noted the flies. We were swatting left and right. I know restaurants have flies, it is hard to keep them out of the kitchen, and they are expected in outdoor seating, but inside the restaurant. Nope! That's even a Big Nope for me. Little miss outdoors. We decided to leave the indoor seating area, skip lunch, and ordered Ice cream outside at the window. Dessert for lunch felt a bit naughty, in a fun way. Yes, I heard it too. I am an adult, that doesn't like adulting. Haha! We ordered soft serve twists. Our rational being that just the soft serve machine needed to be clean. So there was no chance of flys landing on it. We are not weird germaphobes, but once your brain starts down that rabbit hole, sometimes you just cannot find your way back, that was us. We were down the rabbit hole. The Ice cream was really good, ALL of the employees were very nice. We felt no judgement leaving the table and going outside to order Ice cream. While we were waiting for our ice cream, the wind shifted and the odor was just disgusting. This was outside, we took a look around and we found a Porto-potty on the side of the building. Just around the corner from the Ice cream pick up window, and next to that was a Dumpster. So take your pick on what caused the odor. While we were in our car we decided to play a game of what we would do differently, if we owned it. This what we came up with. 1) Deep clean the inside eating area 2) add ventilation to the kitchen and dining area. 3) add a mesh, magnetic fly door. 4) make sure employees are also swatting and disposing of flys. 5) move dumpster to front left side of parking lot. 6) buy a portable- potty trailer, those will need magnetic mesh fly doors on those as well.

Richard and I were looking for a lovely place to say goodbye to lake Seneca on our final day of our…read moretrip. We also wanted somewhere to take our pure bred toy poodle, Lady Dionne. because lady Dionne can only eat human food as prescribed by her nutritional and spiritual Guide, Debra. (She's French) "oui" needed a classy joint that would cater to mama d (aka lady Dion) this is why we chose 3812. We had a reservation for 6:45 and we arrived fashionably late (6:48) ready to shove some rah rah down our gullets. My husband Richard had actually prepped his throat by lubing it a teeny bit with his great aunt's special sauce (it's just Olive Garden Italian dressing™) Instead of being led to our table like you would at a normal human restaurant, the child at the counter said "your table is back there go find u you old hag" after we did that and bodied it down at our table we were verbally assaulted as a way of greeting by our waitress. In doing so, lady Dionne let out a yell that was so damn loud, it broke a vase and popped my hernia. After the incident, we took a moment to pursue the menu. The options are as follows: sandwich, taco, burger, knock off Olive Garden. We got two appetizers which arrived before we were even able to order our meals (just to explain the timing of everything) and the food was just okay mamma I'll tell you that. Then it was time for us to wait 3 hours for our food. During this time we begged the gods and our ancestors that we honor on our ofrenda to do something, ANYTHING , so we could get our food soon. We hadn't seen a worker in what felt like years. Then finally it happened, we found a member of staff. Could he read? No. Could he write? Not fully. Was he bipedal! Of course not! But he was the most attentive employee. He also was in fact a chocolate lab. His named was rocky and him and lady Dionne went through an enemies to lovers. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife!! at this point we were getting so ravenous, Richard actually suggested getting a spit roast started at one point so I needed to use my body to protect rocky from his hungry and searching hands . Richard was completely non verbal. I watched in horror as Richard went through his war flashbacks in silence. (This is what happens to Richard when his sugar gets low) we asked rocky to see where the food was. Also just to set the vibe, we were the only people in the restaurant, I learned that the other table were actually just employees!!! (They got served very fast btw) rocky came back and spoke to us in English. He said "I don't know where your food is but I would like to ask lady Dionne for her hand in marriage" After the nuptials were finalized our food finally came. The burger was 8 oz of two inch thick, overcooked and in seasoned beef!!! It was disgusting and lady Dionne agreed. She prefers her purina. The chicken parm is much better at Olive Garden. At least when you are there, they treat you like family. The fries were nasty. the only good item was the stir fry but let's be honest... it's kind of impossible to mess up. This place has a 4.5 on yelp. And I just want to meet some of the girl boss mamas who rated this a five star and asked, who paid them, and how I can also get paid to write good reviews because review writing is something I am very good at as you can tell. At the beginning of the meal, I was actually considering ordering the crème brûlée. But I realized that I ultimately had to chose between ordering a dessert or seeing my grand children grow up. (Because it would take 20 years) anyway this place was not great at all and shouldn't have the rating it does. But I guess because of lady Dionne's nuptials with rocky, we are family. Good thing lady d always does a prenup and her lawyer is on speed dial. my recommendation is to not go here. okay thanks love ya!

For the dinner, we had scallops for appetitizer, seared salmon, fish tacos and chicken parmesan. For dessert, we had bread pudding and cheesecake. All delicious and cooked to perfection.
