We love the seasonal menu and farm to table approach. Servings are presented nicely and portions are good. Staff is friendly and attentive. There is a great wine store next door with a huge NYS wine selection. We picked up a couple of bottles and had them with dinner. Well done Kindred Fair!

Each dish was delicious! Very GF friendly! Dedicated GF fryers and knowledgeable staff. Our server, Emily C., was great! Comfortable yet elevated atmosphere and ambiance. Will definitely stop back in when we are in town.

We came in without a reservation, but it was early (5:30) so they offered us bar seating, communal seating at a long table or a high top at the bar. We sat at the communal table. No one else sat at the communal talk with us. We enjoyed being able to see into the kitchen at this table. We ordered the calamari, a burger and a crab cake sandwich. Delicious! The burger was perfect. The crab cake was good, but not in my top 5 crab cakes I've ever eaten. The calamari was yummy. The service was impeccable. Would have tried a dessert, but the servings were so ample, there was no room. My husband got the tap and spirit duo and he liked the cider so much he got another cider. I liked that the noise level was not too loud. You can have a normal conversation. Ambiance is really wonderful. Glad we stopped in.

Kindred Fare is definitely a must stop-by establishment when you're in Geneva NY. The food was amazing. - poutine 10/10: flavorful, mouth-watering, and they used cheese curds from local farm shtayburn. - pan seared scallops 8/10: scallops and wild rice were perfectly cooked. However, addition of the plum sauce is excessive and I think the sauce is too strong and sweet to pair with the dish. Drink: I had a mocktail called feed the flowers, it was refreshing Service: staffs were amazing, friendly, and very accommodating. Atmosphere: modernly decorated. Has lots of space so it doesn't feel crowded. I really liked the restaurant has open and visible kitchen. Overall: we had a great time here. Highly recommend this place!

Lovely dining option on the west side of Geneva-convenient to Canandaigua and Rochester. Lots of delicious options, great ambience and very attentive service. Gluten-free options available upon request Prix fixe on Monday nights!

I've been to Geneva 5-6 times and yet only stopped by here by pure chance. Stayed at a nearby Holiday Inn, and there was a poster ad for this place in the elevator. Walked 2-3 minutes from said hotel to the front door of this place, and am so grateful for giving it a shot. This place is what I'd like to see at basically all other restaurants - in terms of staff, quality of the food, cooking times, ambience, and probably more besides. We'd planned on exploring additional acclaimed restaurants around Geneva / upper Seneca lake on our trip, but this spot was so good we had to come back to try out the rest of the menu. Our server was Lauren, and she's probably one of the best servers I've ever had. Really nice, super speedy, great recommendations on the menu and also has a sixth sense for when you're ready for more food / to pay the bill / anything that comes to mind. The culinary highlight of our whole weekend.

Sunday night dinner, our final while in the FLX area. Located in a shopping strip mall type complex, we had a reservation for 8:15 in the hopes of some post-meal shenanigans. Dark theme, open kitchen, barn wood accents and Edison bulb decor type place. Colleen? Maureen? Was our waitress and was very nice. We ordered the Mac and cheese as an appetizer to start. Served in a cast iron pan this was very good with bread crumbs on top. Served with a nice cheese sauce and cheese on top - easily a must-try item if you stop here. I kicked around ideas for my meal and played it safe with the flank steak. Served with rosemary fries and several sauces, I ordered it medium. I really loved this steak - cooked a little under medium but still temp was good and the flavors were incredible. Best steak in FLX that I tried. Only drawback was the dessert menu. You have to have CHOCOLATE cake, cheesecake, sorbet or ice cream and some other fruit type item. We ended up at the ice cream stand around the way. Best meal we had - hands down - highly recommended.

Fantastic experience last night at Kindred Fare! What a cool place! Beautiful restaurant with a fun vibe. Our waiter Jude was awesome. Love that you can purchase a bottle of wine next door and bring it in with no corkage fee. Food was outstanding- we enjoyed the calamari with chickpeas, and 2 entrees from the specials menu, pasta Bolognese and halibut with black rice and vegetables. Everything was great, served piping hot, fresh, tasty. We finished every bite! Would highly recommend this restaurant!

    PEACH & GOAT CHEESE FLATBREAD

I ordered takeout from Kindred Fare this week and am so happy I did! The star of the show was the Peach & Goat Cheese flatbread, this was probably the best savory fruit topped pizza I have ever tried. The warm peach gave a sweet balance to the spicy sauce, savory cheese and chewy crust. The house fries were perfectly seasoned and the house-made ketchup and sauce were great to dip in. The cherry on top of this meal was the rich chocolatey coconut tart that reminded me of a delicious fudge. The restaurant seemed cozy and nicely decorated and the food was ready right on time.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area never fails! Every time I'm in town, I make sure to visit. I had another amazing meal the rice bowl with chicken and an egg. It was incredibly flavorful, and even the rice was delicious. Super zaza, which means very good! My mother had the crab cake bun, which was a bit rich but still very tasty. As always, the service was quick. I really appreciate this restaurant because the noise level is just right; it's not too loud, allowing us to hold a conversation easily.

Came here based an a rec from a darling fella at a local winery. What a score! Got a last minute reservation on a Saturday night. Service was spot on! Absolutely everything was delicious! The fries to start...perfectly crisp. We split the pork chop and it was also stunning, with the best fresh veg sauté. Highly recommend!

    CRAB CAKE SANDWICH*
    Chrissy R.

Super delicious, fresh and homemade pasta and food - it's a "scratch kitchen" so everything is made there! Got the chicken and veggie pasta (replacing the chicken w salmon). Salmon was perfectly crisp. Pasta homemade spaghetti. With buratta, broccoli, snap peas, edamame and pesto. It was SO good! Also got a non alcoholic drink, Shavasana (verjus - Green juice, turmeric, coconut and basil) which was refreshing and invigorating - like a health shot. They have daily specials which always includes a pasta. Can't wait to try a dessert. We will be back! Update: We ended up coming back every night because we loved the food and ambiance so much! Had the salmon and vegetables and crab cake sandwich. The desserts are so good too! Try the homemade ice cream and panna cotta!

    CLASSIC POUTINE*

Absolutely F'N AMAZING!! What more can be said. This restaurant came up on numerous searched for dinner spots in the Geneva, NY area. We were in town wine tasting and 5 vineyards recommended this restaurant as their first choice. With all of those odds, we had to go. DO...make reservations online. This place gets packed nightly. DO...get the amazeballs poutine. They should put the gravy in a to-go cup with a straw, it's that damn good. DO...come with an appetite. You will leave full and sassified! Portions, while may not look huge, they are substantially filling even for the biggest eaters. Our server was above and beyond attentive and quick with any requests we had. Even made sure they could make my wife the most perfect cucumber martini. Will come back and recommend this to others when they're in the area.

Of course, the Finger Lakes are KNOWN for wine so we're just thinking we're making reservations for a wine bar (with "speakeasy" vibes). Which that would've been totally cool with us. After continuous back and forth, changing our reservations 50 million times, adding and taking people out, we finally made it to Vinifera on a Friday night and were super apologetic since we had to make yet another change. The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating, they made sure our party of 10 would be in the same room/table. The only "downfall" was that we'd have to share the room with another small party. Which was absolutely not a problem and we ended up being BFF'S with them by the end of the night. We met the owner Jim - the most incredible human - and he took us down to the speakeasy (which passes right through a super secretive door in the back of the main room upstairs). Side note - the main room upstairs is a vibe on it's own btw and we would've been absolutely fine and happy there. It's an actual wine store and you can purchase all kind of local wines. Be sure to ask and get all the recommendations you want. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible time but we got a super cool VIP experience and learned the story and so much history about this place, the concept, the origin and what sparked the idea of creating it. That itself, was a treat. On to the actual speakeasy experience. When you go downstairs (through that fun super cool super secretive door) - you're instantly transported to another era, another time. It's dark, it's velvety, chandeliers, spiderwebs (the aesthetic kind, idk if there were actually any but it fit the vibe in my head), Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, candles, curtains. There are two super cool rooms, one to the right (which is where our large party sat at) and one to the left - totally recommended for smaller groups, it's cozy, it's chill, you can interact and share with other guests too. Just by this, I'm wowed. As if this wasn't enough, the drinks were absolutely incredible. I ended up ordering some kind of a smoked drink and they happily substituted the regular old fashioned for mezcal. What a dream. Everyone was happy with their drink orders, some ordered some off the menu things and they happily made them - even though they technically only serve what's on the menu. Wine flights are also available if you're in the wine vibe. Bottom line: we loved this place SO much, we came back 2 night's later for our last night. We sat in the other room and absolutely loved and enjoyed it. I had a lavender drink and it was delish. This place is a GEM and you should absolutely check it out and support it if you're in the area. If you're not, well now you have a place I know you'll love to go to!
