Authentic Taiwanese food. The three cup chicken in the pot has rich basil flavor and the garlic with sauce is soft and creamy. The chicken is marinated very well. The 1 dollar mapo tofu is a great deal and the crispy shrimp ball is also very tasty.
151 Days was recommended by our friend from Taiwan, recommended for its authenticity. We had dinner here and would definitely be back! The standout for us was definitely the cordyceps flower black chicken soup which felt nourishing, it was the highlight of our meal. We also ordered the stir-fried water spinach with beef, which was very authentic. The mapo tofu was soft, comforting, and to our surprise, just $1 with their dine-in promotion, it was such a great deal! Ordering was quick and easy via a tablet, and the food arrived fast. The seating is spacious and open, making it a comfortable place to dine. We also loved the cute decor touches, especially around the bar area.
Came here at night for dinner as a group of 3 - the food was mostly very good - we got the lions head meatball, sautéed pea vines, and one of the chicken soup. There was also a deal where mapo tofu was just $1 with any purchase, so we also got one of them. I think everything except the soup was great, which is a bit ironic given their specialty and the high price. The soup wasn't bad, but just felt like a standard chicken broth. I know black silkie chickens are pretty expensive by default so the price isn't unjustifiable, but I found the meat only okay and there wasn't that much other stuff in it. The meatballs and mapo tofu were really tasty though, and the $1 deal made it very worth it - I would come back for the various non soup dishes.
Restaurant was nicely decorated, and when we first got there was completely empty. But it was still early on a Thursday night and as we sat down, several other parties came in. What I noticed was that everyone there was authentic Chinese. My husband and son were the only non-Chinese in the whole place which means authentic Chinese folks love this place. The food was very good. My son loved the popcorn chicken, the pepper beef was nice and tender and had great flavor. The pea vines were delicious and the fried rice was tasty. Next time I come, I will need to try some of the soup. It looks delicious, but we didn't want to over order.
The last time I was here was when they were 151 Days Chicken? I can't remember exactly but it was closer to when they opened. Popped in for lunch right when they opened and ordered the bento (lots of options and reasonably priced), also ordered the beef noodle soup, ma po tofu and a ground pork and bean stir fry. The bento was fine- spicy crispy chicken wasn't very spicy, came with a side of ma po tofu that was super spicy, cabbage was bland (Monga does it better), the rice came with some ground pork on top and that was good. The beef in the noodle soup wasn't tender, the ground pork dish was good. Overall, experience was fine. There is parking lot and tons of street parking.
Known for their signature chicken soup, 151 Days represents how the Bresse chickens used at this restaurant are raised to the prime age of 150 days, and therefore served on the 151st day. Five of us made a reservation for 11:30A on a Saturday. There were already a few tables occupied and by around 12:15P, the entire restaurant was full. We placed our order and asked that the soup be served first so we could taste it independently without any other dishes as a distraction. It takes at least 15 minutes to prepare the soup, so just be ready for a little wait if you make the same request. + CLAM & GARLIC CHICKEN SOUP ($42.95): Being one of their signature soups, of course I was the most excited for this dish, but ended up being the most let down by it. The chicken pieces were mostly bone and skin with the meat being flavorless (from being completely boiled out) and pretty dry. I honestly couldn't tell it was the Bresse chicken at all... it didn't taste like anything special. Also, they threw in a bunch of whole garlic cloves, but they had also lost all their flavor, making them unpleasant to eat. All this said, my favorite ingredient in the soup was the clams. Also, the broth itself was clean, clear and comforting to sip since it was so light. However, for $42, this was far from worth it. + PEA SHOOTS w/ GARLIC ($17.95): Loved these! The pea shoots were tender and fresh, covered in a potent garlic oil. I could eat a whole plate of these, and the pieces of mushrooms were great additions. + STEAMED COD w/ SOY SAUCE ($21.95): The steamed fish itself was delicate, topped with slices of green onion and ginger and in a pool of soy sauce. Unfortunately there were SO MANY small bones in the fish which made it difficult to enjoy since I had to be so cautious with every bite. + TAIWANESE FRIED NOODLES ($14.95): This was a solid noodle dish with cabbage, onion, carrot and the most tender beef. It was a little oily, but the noodles were cooked perfectly and had great flavor from the wok. + SICHUAN SPICY CRISPY CHICKEN ($14.95): Fried pieces of chicken came in a slightly sweet soy sauce, topped with peppers and green onion. The exterior of the chicken was lightly fried and the pieces were fairly lean. The tantalizing spice was addicting and I couldn't stop eating it. + SALTED EGG SHRIMP BALLS ($18.95): These were actually whole shrimp, coated in a fried batter that consisted of salted duck egg, with more of it sprinkled on top. The shrimp were plump and had the perfect snap, while the duck egg gave it a rich flavor. This isn't a dish that you find often, so I recommend it! The service was fine at the beginning, but after we received all our food, we were not checked on again until we were ready for the bill. Additionally, they don't offer hot tea, which is essentially unheard of at Chinese restaurants. While I enjoyed four out of the six dishes, a large consideration comes down to their signature soup which unfortunately was a large miss. 3.25 stars.
Amazing food and great price for the portion. Style is home-cooking Taiwanese stir fries. I loved the pork and bamboo shoots stir fry and the leeks and pork one. The pork bun was surprisingly good too Seating was comfortable, clean, and pleasant. Kind and attentive service I highly recommend it!
It was so lovely to be able to experience 151 days in Redmond. The chicken broth which is ample and refillable was a treat. It was a little herbally but felt clean as you drink this soup. The restaurant itself is clean and the staff friendly. Beef noodle soup super good with the anise 5 star spices and tender meats with noodles perfectly cooked. The thousand year old egg with tofu and sprouts unique and a blend of modern and classic tastes..this was my favorite. The fermented tofu was unique and definitely an acquired taste. Popcorn chicken fun and great for kids! We ordered so much more but those were our standout dishes. Definitely a must return here to eat place!
Lacks flavor. One of the better dishes was the tofu although it messed with my tastebuds and made my water taste sour after a few bites. Would not come again.
The restaurant has a clean and open concept, and it wasn't too busy or loud when we went. The service is efficient and professional, although not especially hospitable (which doesn't bother me personally, but I know that matters to some people). Unfortunately the food itself was just mediocre. The braised beef pot and mapo tofu were not very good, in my opinion. The beef pot was basically a pot of mostly tendon, which isn't my personal favorite. The mapo tofu was only $1 because of a special promo they have right now, but I wouldn't get it again. It lacked depth in flavor, although it might be a good introduction to the dish for someone who's never tried it before (since it's only $1). I quite enjoyed the pork stir fry and cabbage stir fry. These are pretty simple dishes to make, though, so I would expect a restaurant to execute such dishes well. We had a disappointing experience since this restaurant has such a decent rating. Maybe it was an off day or something, but I will not likely return.
Best Taiwanese food in the area. Everything tasted authentic, and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back!
151 Days serves family style Taiwanese dishes, as well as bento boxes that are perfect if you prefer not to share food! The crispy chicken bento was amazing. It came with very well seasoned sides, and the crispy chicken (lightly fried) went perfectly with the rest of the dishes. Usually, I don't eat much of the sides in a bento box, but the curry, cabbage, and cucumber salad were amazing pairings that I devoured. The chicken also had a spicier kick than I expected, which I didn't mind but may be helpful to know if you have a lower tolerance. Went in at 12pm on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating, which got filled by 12:45pm. The overall ambience was great and relaxing. Waiters were attentive and helpful in decision making!
We kind of had very little service throughout the whole dining process. We waited a while before we finally caught someone's attention to take our order. Same thing when we wanted the check. I think they either were really busy or just don't have enough employees. Either way it kind of took away from the dining experience. The food was decent though! We got the scallion oil chicken, pea sprouts, and squid. While the three cup squid had good flavor, it was really dry. I probably would not order it again. 5/10 The chicken was really good though! I liked that they put a lot of scallion on top and there were different cuts of chicken. 8/10 The pea sprouts were cooked pretty perfectly. A classic Chinese dish. 9/10 Overall for food, it was good! The portions were a little small but it was filling regardless. MVP of this meal was probably the pea sprouts.
151 Days : A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ! it's my favorite restaurant in Washington! This is it! It's food that is made from the soul. A supersized local mom & pop restaurant. And really one of a kind. Am I raving? I don't think I can rave enough about this place, I would not be surprised to see them get listed on the Michelin guide in the future. We tried out 2 dishes and 1 drink HALF BRESSE CHICKEN w/ coconut base (MUST ORDER) WOW! YES! NEED! This dish was excellent, the chicken was so so juicy and succulent, the dish really makes your mouth water and want to keep eating more. It was really well balanced by the coconut chicken soup which used whole chunks of coconut meat, amazing combo. TAGINE BEEF POT NOODLE (Solid!) Solid dish, I don't think you can have any complaints here. The beef is cooked just right and the noodles are amazing. SEABERRY JUICE (YES!) Never had this before until this restaurant, but apparently it's more commonly known in Europe/Asia and has many beneficial health properties. They make this fresh! Worth a try! I like it quite a bit. COMPLIMENTARY EGGPLANT / BUN They also gave us a complimentary eggplant&buns dish that was something I could eat daily... This was perhaps my favorite dish just because of how unexpected and unexpectedly good it was. It may be on the menu in the future. The owner told me the chef cooks this sometimes when their friends are over. BACK STORY I was pretty blown away by my whole dining experience and ended up getting to know one of the owners during my visit. They (husband/wife pair) run a series of restaurants in China and when they came to the US, they wanted to do something unique in this area. To bring a more unique taste of their homeland (Shandong province) over to the Seattle region. Their edge is not just the way they book their dishes but it's down to the ingredients & farm. It's right there in the name, the owner/chef here uses a special breed of chickens that takes 151 days to raise from egg to maturity. While a lot of boiler chicken in the US are used for their meat around 6-7 weeks (42 - 50 days). They told me they originally could not find the chicken they needed to make the dish here, so they opened a farm to raise the chickens, and eventually found an Amish farm that raises more a traditional chicken breed and with the care they needed for their dish. Essentially, they are using the best chicken possible to make the best version of their dish. The result is a dish that is prepared artfully, not many restaurants are willing to do this type of labor and I haven't seen one in the US do anything remotely close to this restaurant. The food is delicious, healthy, and in my opinion, prepared with soul. I'll admit, I didn't know what to order when I went there, it was hard to choose which dishes I should order, how much food, and it did feel pricey when I was thinking it's just chicken. But man it was worth every penny. SERVICE This place is really a family run business and you can feel it from the workers. This place has a unison to it that you don't commonly find. LAST THOUGHTS The food is honestly amazing and one of a kind, the restaurant is clean, well decorated, the staff is amazing, I felt good eating their food, knowing it is in nutritious, delicious, and made with soul. It also felt great supporting a mom&pop type of restaurant. My recommendation to the restaurant is to simplify the ordering process in the menu. Since the type of restaurant was so new to me, I wasn't sure how to order at first and really relied on looking at lot of reviews. But their food and service cannot be beat! And that's what really matters. The experience is one of a kind! Just want to spread the word. TL:DR HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 10/ 5 stars! Order the chicken dish. What better way to warm up on a crisp, cold fall day than with a bowl of warm chicken soup? Don't let the simplicity of the name fool you. The noodle textures are on point as well as the flavorful broth. Came here on a perfect fall day for a perfect fall date. Their potstickers are also amazing~. The interior is spacious and the staff are kind! They do take a while to wait on you so if you are in a hurry I wouldn't recommend it. There were a couple times too that they didn't have items on the menu, which was somewhat disappointing. However, overall I enjoyed the food, ambience, and experience! read more

I won a free dish on Instagram for this restaurant so I was really excited about eating here. I brought my friend and we both ordered the honey walnut shrimp, for some reason she had zero walnuts and I had a ton. Then I ordered the Sichuan peppercorn bresse half chicken meal and that cones with flat bread and a 2 choices of broth coconut or garlic mushroom. I'm was expecting a hot meal but I was surprised the chicken is basically served room temp. I was dipping my chicken in the hot broth to warm it up, and it wasn't just the chicken it was also the flatbread. The flatbread texture was good and the eggplant/onion that came with was flavorful, service was also pretty quick and friendly. My server recommended the chicken soup for next time and I saw a few ppl order and eat that so maybe next time I'll go with their recommended dish. read more

I thought this was place specialized in chicken but seems like they have a bunch of taiwanese dishes of all sorts too. We came here for a chicken soup on a cold day and was told a pot of it could probably fed the 3 of us but we added 2 other dishes on top of it too - the salted egg yolk oyster mushroom and a fried rice. The fried rice was SO good. The wok hei really adds a depth to the flavor. And the mushroom was good too but I think I liked the one from looking for chai better. The chicken soup was great in that they kept coming by to ask if we wanted the broth refilled and they also let you self-season with salt so you can adjust to your own personal liking. Definitely enough for 3 people. read more
Yummy! What a great new addition to this Eastside area! Parking was easy in the garage and after making a reservation a couple of days in advance I got my confirmation text. This is the perfect place to share a meal on a cold day. Everything is brought out within minutes of ordering and you get to determine how long things cook for. I loved the presentation of the food and everything was fresh. I was especially impressed with the red berry juice. The menu doesn't say a lot about it but it was delectable. The corn congee/egg appetizer was probably the table favorite dish. I could have that every day and not get sick of it! We probably ate twice as much as we needed to but it was so good! It was definitely full of protein and kept me satiated the rest of the day. Looking forward to returning the next time I'm very hungry for brunch/lunch. read more
Before attending the Yelp Elite Cirque du Soleil event on 1/19/22, The College Friend and I tried 151 Days for the first time. It had the advantage of being relatively close to our later destination at Marymoor Park without dealing with much traffic. I was lucky to find street parking around the corner and we arrived just as they opened for dinner service at 1700/5pm. They do check for C19 vaccination status upon entry, then we were seated and provided their well laid out menu to peruse. The menu provided some background why the restaurant is called 151 Days. Fun fact: this is the amount of time the Bresse chickens from Arlington are farm raised for optimal flavor. Service was fairly friendly, efficient, and unobtrusive. Definitely the tables in the fairly vast dining room quickly filled up within the hour we were onsite. The College Friend had the Chicken Soup with radish and dried crab sides ($11.50), Chinese doughnuts ($3.75), and hot tea. I opted for Wonton Soup ($10.50). The one thing I noticed is how large the bowls are. The Wontons were plentiful and plump with tasty filling. Some other places are a bit skimpy with content, here it was rather generous and filling. I would have preferred my soup broth to have been a bit more piping hot though. For me, definitely this hit the spot! If I'm ever back in this area where Redmond meets up adjacent to Bellevue, I'd like to explore more of their menu since they have both lunch and dinner service. read more
Easy location to get to, and has a small garage for retail parking with a north and south entrance. I thought the food was decent, maybe just a tad under 4 star quality. The staff were friendly, but not too great at the service part of the job? They were all polite, but didn't make me feel welcome if that makes sense. The food came out quick. On top of the regular Bresse Chicken Meal, we ordered the creamy mushroom soup and millet doughnut and it was just the right amount of food for the two of us. - The flat bread with the sauce was a great appetizer, and had good flavor to it. - Pickled radish side dish was great too! A little bit on the sweeter side but very yum. Just a tiny plate though. - We got the chilli oil chicken, and it was okay, I would have liked it if it was a bit more tender. There were a few pieces around the bones that were very chewy or dry, but overally it was fine. - The garlic mushroom broth was simple, but had good taste to it and since it's on like a mini hot pot, was really enjoyable. They did forget to give us the ladle for the soup, but a quick reminder and they were able to bring it right out. - The millet doughnuts were good, not too sweet and not too sticky. A little bit on the expensive side I felt like? I think it was like $3 for each? - The creamy mushroom soup was good too. We just wanted something filling on the side. - They did brought out complimentary mongolian milk tea to everyone in the restaurant. It wasn't too sweet. I probably would have preferred it to be less milk and more tea? But maybe that's how mongolian milk teas are. The person I went with said the mongolian milk tea they had when they were younger were actually salty and not sweet, so this wasn't quite their 'cup of tea' - Another thing was the water tasted off. I enjoyed the rich broth chicken soup. The menu has some great backstory about the special species of chicken they use. If you're not into reading, I'll spoil it for you--it is quite tasty! For the downsides... The "potstickers" were not crispy. Which misses the entire point of potstickers... Also, the service was not amazing. My party was asked to wait awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant for about 5 minutes while the one and only hostess/waiter packed up to-go orders and collected checks from other tables. The dining room was wide open empty. In the end, the price was just too high. Either the rent in the brand-new building is steep, or they are just fishing for nearby tech employees. I've definitely had better for far less. read more
This is a hidden gem of Taiwanese food. Their menu has a decent variety that's good for a big meal or something simple. We ordered 2 bentos and a large soup to share. Their Taiwanese pork chop was really good and the portion was big too. The soup you can tell they put time on making it. It came with no salt and you can add it by your preference. They also refill the broth for free. I would definitely come back to try other things on the menu read more
151 days is an experience, not just a dinner, so don't let the bill scare you too much. We really enjoyed our visit to 151 days. We weren't super familiar with hot pot, and this served as a great introduction for us. We got the chicken soup pot, and enjoyed each of our courses. The only thing I would note: the best part of the meal is the soup after everything's been cooked. It's amazing, so don't forget about it. read more

Food made with care! Chicken-centric (but not exclusively chicken) restaurant with great homemade flavors! Bresse half chicken: special French breed chicken raised up in Arlington. Not sure if I could tell it was a special breed chicken. I liked it but may not be everyone's fav. It's served room temp like soy sauce chicken and is not hormone bulked up like factory chicken. A bit toothier than your average chicken. Flavor is pretty mild so use the the garlic chili dipping sauce liberally. Chicken noodle soup: this is what you need when you need when you are sick! Clean tasting broth, shredded chicken and noodles with good texture! there is a thicker broth version that I want to try next time! Braised pork belly: this was sooo good we ordered a 2nd order! Melt in your mouth deliciousness! Get this! Spicy pork wonton: using Berkshire pork which I gather this is some magical tasty breed of pig because this was so much better than most wonton I've had! Get this! Noodles with ground pork: noodles are of very good quality with good texture! Meatball: different flavor than I expected but delicious. Sort of a lighter version of meatball you get at dim sum. Pot stickers: probably the only thing that was just okay. Pretty standard pan fried dumpling Mushroom and chicken pot pie; what is this doing on the menu? I don't know but I am so glad they have this! Great puff pastry topping! The contents have delicate mushroom flavor. Creamy without cream I think. Get this! Service was great and they don't seem to have long lines or wait times (yet). Check them out! read more
Gotta love people who are passionate about the food they make. They seem to have taken on a sacred responsibility to introduce us to the best chicken in the world. They have convinced an Amish community to grow a special breed of chicken free range. After 150 days, they are prepared for consumption, hence the name of the restaurant, 151 Days. They have a beautiful website with a wonderful story, photos, and menu. It's too bad that their actual menu is very different. We were met with the Autumn Menu. It didn't have any of the things we were prepared to order, but they had lots of good stuff. The Crispy Chicken with Spicy Sauce was very good, very crisp and very spicy, very delicious. The Kurobuta Fried Rice was also very good. We've never had cabbage in fried rice but it was a great textural addition. It was subtilely seasoned and delicious, but if you want to add a little of the coarse salt on the table, it goes well. Their prices are very fair, and the portions are large. Go with a group and share lots of plates. read more

Not your average chicken noodle soup! This chicken hot pot soup has more ingredients and higher quality than your average chicken soup, and has been simmering for a while to make sure your broth is fueled to refresh you! It's what a healthy soup is made for.. but still with all the flavors! The chicken was still tender... and dipped in their sauce.. it was so delicious! I actually wasn't a big fan of all the additional ads ones that came with the $80 meal.. but it was still such a great deal as it came with all the additional sides to try! I liked almost all the sides except for the seaweed! And it also came with fondue dessert! And also a piece of their red bean filled donut! Im glad we got to try a little bit of everything! It was a lot of food for 2 adults and 2 small kids.. but we also couldn't resist ordering their dry noodles with ribs! Tasty! And packed with veggies too!! We also ordered their spicy wonton, than my husband devoured without sharing.. hmm but he did say it was very good! We also ordered extra dumplings because my kids loved it! I would come back for their noodles! And maybe try some rice dishes! Definitely a place that you want to come for comfort food.. but also healthy and healthy food! read more
Came here for dinner at 7:30 on a Sunday. There were several parties there but definitely still plenty of seating. After showing vaxx cards we were seated quickly and given ice or warm water to drink. I was so tempted to over order because the dishes all look so good, but they also looked small and expensive and we decided we would order the chicken noodle soup (rich, $15.50, with egg) and wait to see if it was enough food. I'm glad I didn't order more because it certainly was more than enough for me. The broth was rich but not as extremely salty or fatty as ramen broth feels to me, so I drank a lot more soup than I normally would. Their must-have-been homemade noodles were excellent, as was their soft boiled eggs! I think the chicken in the soup itself was maybe a bit over cooked, but it didn't bother me much. I also liked having the side of pickled radish (the fried imitation crab side was a bit stale, so less excited about that). All the dishes that passed us also smelled astounding so I'll be back to try their other dishes. read more

Pretty solid taiwanese bento at a great price. I really like their wide bento selection and the food is decent, however they give too little rice in the bento imo. I usually finish their bento feeling only half-full, (compared to the bento at monga which always fills me up). I wish they fill the bigger spot of the bento box with more rice. read more

Overall, I enjoyed lunch here. I like that they specialize in Bresse Chicken (front of menu has explanation of what that is) and most of their dishes center around that. It is a somewhat pricey meal though $65 w/ tip/tax for 2 people. So you're definitely paying for the quality of ingredients and specialization. I really liked the Chicken Noodle Soup - the noodles were really good and broth was as well. The broth is more rich than normal chicken soup, but less than ramen broth. I'd get this again. I will say though the broth wasn't as hot as I'd prefer/expected. It wasn't cold, but just sort warm. We also got the potstickers and half smoked chicken. Potstickers filling was good, but the wrapper was just ok. Hard to explain why, but it's not the same texture as I'm used to out. The smoked chicken was like good quality meat and the sauce was really good too, but it's not quite my favorite type of dish. Mostly because it's a lot of work to eat the bone-in chicken. I'm sure this works for others that enjoy it. Also, got the millet doughnut for dessert. It was just ok. I wouldn't need to get again. I'd love to come back and try their other soup items. Saturday lunch was not too busy (5 tables full or so?) and has ample parking in the lot. read more
After hearing about this place on The Seattle Times, I decided to check it out! I tried calling in advance to put in a takeout order but after several tries to a busy signal I finally gave up and showed up in person. No one was dining in house but there were a few takeout orders! Not sure how those other people got through unless they did third party since they weren't picking up their phone. I got the classic chicken noodle soup and the steak tagine with noodles. The chicken noodle soup comes with a small handful of chicken (as others mentioned but was still surprised how little it was when chicken was their main attraction!) My shredded chicken was a little dry even though it was in soup. The addition of the bamboo, egg and veggies rounded out the dish nicely but definitely wished there was a little more chicken. The steak tagine had French fries in it? Was not expecting that and it definitely packed more flavor but was too salty for me to actually eat much than a small scoop from. The "steak" was actually short ribs so has a lot of bone and very little steak. Overall stick to the chicken noodle soup and hopefully they'll be a little more generous on the chicken next time. read more
The Bresse is a French chicken that is considered the Queen of Chickens, and the most delicious chicken in the world. It has AOC (appellation d'origine contrôlée) status, which means that it may only be produced in a legally-defined area in the historic province of Bresse, and of a specially defined breed. I've had some of the most delicious chicken in my life on a visit to France a few years ago, and have never forgotten that taste. So, it was with some fascination when I found this restaurant and read what it was all about. They only used Bresse chicken (the breed of white chickend) but instead of France, they hung out at nearby Arlington. So, I had to order their signature dish of chicken noodles....... and..... it was delicious. The broth was the result of long slow simmering. So this place has reopened under the original owner of looking for chai in Edmonds so it's now mainly Taiwanese food. They still offer some of the chicken soups. But man- everything is so delicious. I just came back from Taiwan and was missing Taiwanese food. So glad this place has opened. The prices are so reasonable, the service is SO friendly. Highly highly recommend. The bento boxes are so big and such a good deal! The pork buns are also su authentic and huge! read more

Homey, simple, and comforting Chinese food. I'd recommend the soups or wontons, esp to someone looking to escape a rainy PNW day or recover from a cold. Their desserts are affordable and tasty, so just throw it in your order too! The inside looks great and the cute chicken theme is whimsical - even the dishes and spoons are customized to fit it. It's still their soft opening, so you may need to be patient as they work out logistics like staffing and menu availability. I'm looking forward to returning to 151 Days in the future! read more

Service was good but this restaurant has change their menu and food point of view from when the restaurant first opened. It was a little misleading because it kept the same name. The dishes I like the most was the cold chicken appi dish and the beef noodle soup. The lamb dish we got was way too salty and the meat was not tender (I.e. too rough and chewy). Overall pricey dishes that were not mind blowing. They have bento box option which seems like a great deal for the value and most of the tables dinning had an order of bento box so maybe we should have tried that. I'm not sure if I will be returning to this restaurant from my experience. read more

The flavor is too less. They should add more salt to generally every of their dish except salty egg york shrimp. The popcorn chicken need a lot of attention since this has a huge difference to the one in Taiwan. I've been to Taiwan before so please make it better. The oil temperature is too low and you fried it too dry. The fried rice need more salt. The Sakura shrimp fried rice is not my favorite since I am a meatlover. The service is OK here. It's not quite responsive but still here. They do offer a 10% discount due to my improvement advice to them. Atmosphere is good. It's not too noisy. You do need to find a parking space but I rode a motorcycle on that day so I just parked outside their door. read more

Clean and modern restaurant specializing in chicken. The restaurant name, 151 Days, references the amount of time it takes to hand-raise their chicken to natural maturity. Generally speaking, the ingredients seemed high quality, but overall lacked seasoning. As I tend to gravitate to food with big pops of flavor, this didn't resonate with me. Mushroom Chicken Broth w/ Sprouted Rice: had exactly 1 tiny sliver of chicken. Broth had depth, but needed more seasoning. Creamy Mushroom Chicken w/ Rice: nice, creamy flavor, but rice was hard and dish needed salt Tagine Beef Rice: large portion, but under-seasoned Millet Rice Cake - best part of the meal: millet cake + sticky rice dipped in rose honey Service was friendly, but too quick. I know that sounds funny, but they brought out dessert a few minutes after the entrees and then the check a few minutes after that. While efficiency is generally a good thing, the timing here made us feel rushed. read more

The chicken soup place. A sign inside and outside states this here. The restaurant is located in a building below a huge apartment complex. It shares the parking too. I found a spot on the street, thank goodness! On a Friday night the place was packed! Good thing I had a reservation. They offer a QR code with a wait list at the entrance. Fortunately for me, dining alone has its benefits. I was immediately seated. My reason for coming here was to try their Bresse chicken meal. You choose a style of chicken, soy sauce, sichaun peppercorn, and chili oil. Next, chose a broth. Garlic Mushroom or Coconut. The chicken is delicous! The name of the restaurant refers to how long the chickens are alive. The story is on the front of the menu. Very cool. Taste; chicken, not as soy sauce flavored as I thought it would be but the presentation was nice. Half a chicken sliced nicely on a small serving plate. A few pancake/bread pieces were served with a delicous onion type relish. I used it to make little chicken sandwich bites. The broth was served in a silver pot with a small flame underneath. Eventually it was boiling! I had to turn it down. The broth was legit! Chicken bones and all. My favorite part of the meal was the fried tofu pieces. Super crispy outside of panko crumbs and a yummy dipping sauce. I felt like I was being naughty eating a fried treat but the tofu was soft and silky. Unable to finish all the food I took it home. The to go containers held ALL the broth! I will be turning it into my own chicen soup this weekend. A very lively, friendly vibe in the is spot. I would recommend coming here on a date or with a group of friends as it appeared most items are served family style to share. For the full experience of a meal with Bresse chicken, order the Bresse Meal. 151 Days specializes in serving Bresse chicken, a breed of chicken primarily raised in France to a prime age of 150 days before being served to customers on the 151st day. ----- Bresse Meal: this meal combo includes the following with individual pricing: - Sichuan Peppercorn, Original, or Red Oil Bresse Half Chicken: $29.90 - Pot of Coconut or Garlic Mushroom Broth: $15.90 - Housemade Flate Bread with Eggplant Paste: $4.90 - Pickled Radish: $3.90 Altogether the meal is $45, or $78 for a whole chicken meal. A half chicken meal is perfect to share between two people. The flatbread was served first as an appetizer. It had a crispy exterior and paired nicely with both the eggplant and jalapeno paste and pickled radish. Between the two broths, I would recommend coconut for a unique taste. The flavor was light with a subtle yet refreshing sweetness. The pot even had thick slices of coconut. I liked that it had vegetables, dates, and goji berries. As for the Bresse chicken, the Sichuan Peppercorn is not a spicy dish as I had thought it would be. The chicken was not distinctively special to me, but was definitely tender and juicy. To my surprise, the place was not busy at all. Again, this is not a place where you find typical Chinese dishes full of Chinese spices and MSG! Don't get me wrong. I love them too and have reviewed on many of excellent authentic Chinese restaurants in eastside. I come here to get something different and authentic in its own way. I cannot recommend enough of Breese Chicken salad. Today, I got to try Chicken Noodle soup and found it to be just as delicious as the chicken soup with rice. They do taste different. It is not like they just replace noodle with rice vice versa. The noodle soup has a bit more gamy taste whereas the rice soup has a stronger herb taste. I like them both. One thing I noticed today was how both salad and noodle soup were a bit saltier than other dishes. By no means, they were very salty but I do prefer less salty rice soup so that I can appreciate the true taste of the soup base. Anyways, I am a huge fan of this place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to all my friends. read more

The food wasn't bad, I would highly recommend the chicken noodle soup. Everything else was just alright and the hotpot dish was so different from the picture and I would skip it, barely anything inside. Overall I didn't like how they bribe customers into giving high ratings when their food could be improved. read more

Came here after a hike for some homemade Taiwanese food and was not let down! The service was accomdating and served us even close to their closing time which we appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious and our favorite were the pork baos! Will definitely be back! read more
I've been eyeing this restaurant since I came home to Bellevue a few weeks ago and finally got a chance to try it today for lunch! Parking: there's a small retail garage nearby, which had a few spots left during the weekday, but I imagine it could get more crowded on the weekend. 4/5 Decor and facilities: the setup of the restaurant is upscale compared to most Chinese restaurants. Spacious tables, room for conversations, high ceilings, beautiful decoration. 5/5 Service: There weren't many people since it was a Tuesday at 11:30am, but there was only one server and it was his first day, so he was a bit confused. However, he was super sweet and tried to help as much as possible :) - 4.5/5 Food: while I read reviews that said the whole chicken meal ($78) is suitable for two, we got the half ($45) and that was enough for my mom and I since we are broth lovers and have smaller appetites compared to, say, a tall male. - garlic broth 5/5 -- We loved the garlic broth and drank the entire thing, plus the garlic, goji berries, red dates, mushrooms, and even the chicken on the bone haha! Usually broths are very salty, but this one was just right. - the chili oil chicken was also delicious 4/5 -- not too hot for the summer, just the right level of spice, and so high quality compared to most Chinese restaurants :) - The pickled radish was also addicting 5/5 -- my mom says she's going to start making radish the same way as well - the eggplant flatbread -- the eggplant itself is 5/5 and the flatbread is 4/5 -- it is so reminiscent of home-cooked northern chinese meals. my mom's not a fan of eggplant, but since the eggplant came on the side, i got to eat all of it and used the flatbread to make a "wrap" with eggplant, radish, and chicken. read more

New favorite modern Asian food in PNW. So good and wholesome. We got the fish maw pot and braised sprouted rice with chicken thigh. This braised sprouted rice is like a really healthy flavorful clay pot rice (unlike the traditional clay pot rice dishes that tend to be oilier/ higher in sodium). OMG please don't ever take this off your menu I LOVE IT to the moon and back!!! The chicken thigh is so delicious, I wish there's something similar in San Jose. The fish maw soup is chock full of nourishing ingredients, with some pumpkin to accentuate the overall sweetness. The restaurant interior is beautiful, feels kind of old world glam. Drinks were yummy too. That orange color berry drink- yummy and good for you. The nice lady who served us is super friendly and took time to answer questions/ make recommendations. Me and my family came to this restaurant around 5PM when they open. The restaurant is clean, the servers are friendly and the food is decent. No gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical about this Resturant cause it says mainly serve chicken. However, the food turn out to be really good and healthy. Not sure if it makes sense, in my point of view, healthy foods are usually pretty bland overall. This Resturant makes their chicken in a healthy way and also taste wonderful. I am from southern China, and this restaurant make most of their dishes taste just like in southern China. Price is reasonable compared to other restaurants in Bellevue/Redmond area. The building it is in provide free and easy parking. I like this restaurant and recommend to people who like chickens and also who wants to enjoy a healthy, tasty food. read more

Located next to Shaburina, this place specializes in their chicken. My friend added me as +1 for the Yelp elite event to try their signature Bresse meal at a discount and also ordered an extra dish to try - smoke Bresse chicken. The Bresse meal comes with half chicken ($45), garlic mushroom broth (choice of that or coconut), stuffed eggplant bread, and daikon. The chicken we chose to get for the Bresse meal was the Sichuan peppercorn Bresse chicken. It did not have a noticeable numbing spice but otherwise the chicken is quite tender. The soup is the best thing of the meal - a bit salty but also very flavorful and soothing for the colder weather. Stuffed eggplant bread was decent - not really a fan of eggplants but the way they prepared it is more a paste and gets rid of the somewhat slimy texture that I do not like. The smoke Bresse chicken is alright - it is like rotisserie chicken so I would not really fully justify the price point of the dish. At regular pricing, this restaurant is not memorable - it would have been about $45 per person for a decent meal here. Chicken needs to be prepared super well to justify this sort of price tag, and in general, compared to most proteins, chicken is usually a "cheaper" protein. So I would have expected a lot more from this place for a meal like this. But it is still a good place overall. read more

Service was great and the chicken has a deep, rich flavor with a slightly firm texture. The flavors are straightforward and light allowing the delicious natural qualities of the chicken to shine through. My only complaint is that one or two pieces of chicken had what felt like a million bone fragments throughout. Thank goodness I ran into those at home after we took our meal to go because I would've looked like a messy madman taking so long to eat around and pick out these miniscule rock hard fragments from a mouthful of chicken and rice while being careful not to choke or bust a tooth. This is probably not a normal thing but in my opinion is nonetheless inexcusable. Long story short, chicken tasted great but my experience could've been better on this particular day. read more
