I walked in with no reservations on a Friday afternoon, and I immediately noticed how clean and nice it was inside! They have a bunch of polish options, and the prices are pretty fair for what you get! I got the lavender mint pedicure for $45, and it was worth every bit of that price! I have been going to this spot for over a year and I love it. When something isn't done to my liking, the owner corrects it with no problem. I'm really very impressed with this place!! I usually frequent other nail shops in the area, but decided to give a new one a try. The shop is a little on the smaller side, but packed full with friendly and sociable staff..and clients! As I looked around I noticed, not just a few of the staff members but every single one was having a conversation with there client. I know a lot of times in nail salons the staff can get caught up in bringing people in doing a quick job and then pushing them out. Nhi was my technician today, she did a wonderful job! I appreciate that she took her time and focused on what she was doing as well as keep a conversation going with me. The menu here is pretty unique. It looks just like a restaurant menu, I have never seen that before and thought it was the coolest idea! The menu is very descriptive and my technician Nhi was very patient with me (I tend to take forever to make up my mind and then change my mind again 5 times lol). Going through cedar hill you can miss this place easily, but I would definitely take the time to find it! I didn't get my nails done here but my eyebrows waxed. The woman was really nice, did a great job (pretty thorough and careful) and even gave me some coupons for free bowling at the nearby bowling alley. Perhaps I'll make time to get my nails done as well and I can give the final star. read more

I have been twice now. My nails usually lift but I have not had that problem at this salon. The owners seemed nice and genuine. But they do move a little slow. The salon was clean and I saw them sanitizing tools after use. I would recommend. read more

The main lady can't do gel nails at all everytime I get gel they have a black color in the nail color and I ask her why Bc I don't like it I've been getting my nails done gel forever and have never had that problem ever so I'm just asking her and she's like oh it's Bc of your nail length and I'm like ma'am I get the same length everytime and your other tech did my nails gel and longer and I didn't have this black stuff in my nail this the second time I get my nails done by you that it has this color to it she just brushes me off and charges me 60 dollars for a refill I could've just got a whole new set for that so the next day I go to open a closet door and my nail just snaps in half and I'm just bruhh how I just got this nail done yesterday and I didn't even do nothing for it to break so now I'm aggravated so I call and she said it will be 5 dollars so I said ok I'm on my way I really don't feel like I should've had to pay 5 dollars but it's 5 dollars so I get there after driving through all this traffic to her saying oh it's you I didn't know and I was yes and she was like it broke Bc it's too long and I'm like alright and I started going back and fourth with her Bc she always got an excuse to why her work ain't good instead of just fixing it and making it right I don't even like having to her rude with people but it's just like I ain't come in here demanding you to fix it for free or none of that and she tries to blame it on the customer like it's my fault your work ain't good so she refused to fix my nail after blaming me and getting mad Bc imma a have attitude back she has a couple good techs in there but her attitude towards peoples nails is annoying if you don't know how to do something maybe send me to a tech who does and don't blame me for what you can't do Bc I'm paying high for this what it looks like beginners nail work I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE JUST BC OF HERE read more

I love this little salon. The owner is always so nice and attentive. Her staff is always pleasant and the atmosphere is serene. I can always count on quality. There are plenty of other salons in the area that are more commercialized (fancy drapes, marble sinks, etc) but do not provide the attention to detail as here. Are mistakes made sometimes? Yes, but if you speak up they will fix immediately. The salon is closed on Sundays because the staff likes to be with family then. This told me that their morals mattered before business needs and that the owner believes in humaneness. Respect earned. read more

I've gotten pedicures here for almost 3 years and they do a really good job. I got a manucure after being asked multiple times by this lady walking around. Speaking of, she really ruins the spa experience by hounding customers about additional services. You have to be firm (almost rude) to get her to accept your answer of "NO". She literally did the manicure standing at the side of my chair while another lady worked on my feet. It was very uncomfortable stretching my arm across my body so that the 2nd attendant could polish my fingernails. She didn't push my cuticles back; instead, she polished right over them. I couldn't believe it! I don't recommend manicures but they do a good job on pedicures. read more

This was awful. The place is not clean, there was no evidence of any sterilization equipment. The techs worked on multiple clients at a time. But most importantly the services were terrible. I've been coming to place for a couple of years to get my eyebrows waxed. They do a great job with eyebrows but yesterday I decided to get my nails done by them for the first time. I was not very happy with them at all. There was no one in the salon when they began working on them but when more people started to come in the really rushed to finished my nails. I ended up with thick, uneven, nails that looked terrible. I live in Uptown and going here is really out of my way and even though I love how they do my eyebrows I'm sure I can find someone closer to me. read more

I came in for a fill and a pedicure. I used to go to Venetian Nail Salon in Ftw, but when I found out that Angie had moved and taken over this salon I had to follow. A bit of a drive for me, but worth every minute in the car. If you used to come here before.....and I heart it was pretty bad, I would encourage you to come back and give these ladies a chance. Very disappointed in my visit. What started as a positive experience turned poor. I took my male roommate in for a pedicure and manicure while I did my regular deluxe "vanilla pedicure." The aggression in ups up-sailing me on a pedicure package was uncalled for and demeaning. My roommate initially received attentive customer service in offering of wine, I did not receive equal attention though was eventually handed a bottle of water I didn't request. The roommates manicure included a shower of oil on his tshirt, odd shaped nail shape, rushed job, semi hostile reaction to pulling his hand away when the manicurist attempted to recut to close to the nail bed. The pedicure attendant asked about water temperature only to walk away instead of quickly adjusting the water when it was apparently uncomfortably hot. My own toe nails are unevenly crooked from a rushed job. I'd like to state, we were not walk ins. Our appointment was made and commented on in our initial entry. We will not return. read more

Horrible experience twice here at this nail shop.They are not experienced!! 1st time I came in to get an overlay on my natural nails..the first lady could not do nails. Arylic everywhere and uneven. The owner of the salon had to fix my nails. Trying to give this business another chance I went in to get my eyebrows done because they did a great job the first time I got them done. Never again.another time where an inexperienced person tried to do my eye brows and the owner had to come in and she did not fix the problem but made it worse..1 eye brow thinner than the other...I will never!! Ever go back here again..and the owner had the nerve to have an attitude because I said i didn't like it...all around bad customer service. Please go to a more experienced shop. I also have a scar from the burning hot wax..totally a mess! read more

Terrible customer experience. It should be zero stars. I have never complained about a low quality service but this has to be reported...Firstly, i was given attitude for not knowing what i want when i showed the picture of the exact design on the internet. The owner jumped in and supported him making me feel like im supposed to know how to do their job and which polish would match the chosen design. After having asked them a few times to fix the innacuracies with a brush, the original worker didnt come and the other lady nicely fixed it for me. I wish the story ended there. After having dried them for almost 20 mins and then 2 hrs of running errands everything was ok but when i washed and dried my hands with the towel, the polish was still not dried. Apparently the second and third coat was put too soon a common mistake when manicure is done in a rush. I would not reccomend going there esspecially for a regular manicure if you are looking to get a good experience and not be treated as if you are asking for too much. They have offered to redo it without admitting that it was a poorly done job (the reason was given that had something to do with the weather not letting it dry) it would have been better handled by the owner to genuinely say it wasnt a quality job at the start instead of being more defensive. Well, I have to first say I'm a real pushover and should be better about speaking up. But this was my first visit. The prices are posted on the wall, and pedicures say "$20". After I'd walked in and had been put in a massage chair, the pedicurist said it would be FORTY dollars. I should have said no, but didn't. Then I had to wait for a brow wax or two, even though my feet were puckering. The eyebrow waxes were great and reasonably priced, but it was $60 bucks to get out of there. I won't go back for a pedicure, but MIGHT stop in for an eyebrow wax. Too, too expensive for what I got. This should have been a hot stone massage w/the pedi. read more

I have discovered New York Nails to practice very unsanitary practices, which inevitable has lead to a bad fungus in my fingernails. Also, the quality of service is very poor. My fingernails were a mess, they filed them down so much with the electric drill until now my fingernails are extremely thin and some of them are tender to the touch. I would not recommend them to anyone. read more
