I really appreciate the love and kindness from the staff especially from the guy from behind the counter lol his Name is Mr. Z and I love and appreciate his help while going through the battle of my life he stepped right in and made sure I got taken care of so I could feel good about myself going back into the hospital to fight for my life! I want to say thank you to him and the whole staff and establishment For all their support. It's more than just nails for them they are family!!!!

Not sanitary! As I sat with my feet in the water for my pedicure the water began to fill to the top of the pedicure bowl. Ruby quickly grabbed a bucket and began getting the water out. She used a bucket due to the plastic lining already being in place. The problem is THIS IS THE SAME BUCKET USED TO GET EVERYONES water out the pedicure bowl. When you take a bucket from one bowl to another while there's a persons feet in it, IS NASTY! Don't dip a bucket in my water that has been in someone else's dirty feet water even if it's just to remove water. Because I asked for clean water she told me she no longer wanted me as a customer. This place is unsanitary and doesn't understand the meaning of germs and how they spread. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!

I want to warn others still patronizing this nail salon U NEED NAILS because this went beyond a customer service issue. On Saturday, I planned to go get my nails done and a pedicure. I had made an appointment days in advance due to the New Year holiday. I checked my calendar to look at my appointment time. It was on there twice so I was confused so I thought I'd give the salon courtesy call. I told them that I had an some appointment but I wasn't sure if it started at 4:00 or 5:00. (It was 4:02). The front desk manager replied it's at 4:00 I immediately apologized and said oh wow I had it totally wrong in my calendar. I told him I could be on the way and be there within 10 minutes. He told me that if I wasn't there 7 minutes after my scheduled time that they automatically canceled. I told him there was no possible way I could be there at in 7 minutes but 10 is the best I could do. He said OK I'll see you in 10 minutes. I raced to put on my shoes looked at the clock and reasoned with myself and said I don't want to put myself in a racing situation so I called the salon back and said hey I'm going to go ahead and pass on this appt bc I'm not going to be able to make it unless you want to put me in your next available spot. He said the nail tech didn't have any more spots. I said ok that's fine... He said he would put a walk-in in my place which was cool. I told him that I had a pedicure scheduled next so I was still going to be in route and I would get with whoever was available for my nails later once I got there. He told me No! Your 5:00 appointment has been canceled as well! I said why? He said if you can't come to one appointment you can't come to any of them & that's policy. I said when has it ever been policy I have been a loyal customer for 7 years coming about every 2 weeks and this is never been a policy that I've seen or heard about. He said well it is and your canceled. I replied you can't cancel me just like that. The appts are unrelated with 2 different techs. He continued to talk down to me as if I was a child even after my courtesy calls. I told him that if he felt so strongly about canceling my BOTH my appointments because I was a few minutes late not to expect me to be a customer any longer. The manager immediately started Singing on the phone "That's fine with me" . I was shocked... how immature...it was like he was taunting me and belittling me...and I called him a ass and hung up. It was hard enough to get the appointments around the holiday and I was still willing to show up after my calendar mistake. I wanted to see these written policies & demeanor in person, besides the techs shouldn't be financially punished on account of his behavior so I gathered myself and showed up for my existing appt at 5:00 about 40 min later. I walked in as normal & quietly signed in the appt book. Our interactions have been by phone but as soon as he saw me standing there he rushed from the back of the store and said can I help you I said yes I'm here for my appt in a regular voice. He stared at me & said are you Amber? I said yes I am. He said what are you doing here!! I canceled you! I said calmly I had an appt scheduled today and I'm here for it. He said I canceled you because you yelled at me on the phone. I told him that's not why you canceled me, I didn't yell at you... and you sung to me on the phone that you didn't care about me being a customer. He started yelling you need to leave and said he was calling the police. My nail tech came to the front standing next to him and she kept her head down as if she was afraid to lose her job if she spoke up. He called the police in front of all of the storefront employees & customers!! He then started describing everything I had on as if I was a criminal. It was so embarrassing and degrading... all because I called him in advance to tell him I was going to be late. Smh... I left because I have kids and I didn't want them to live with the experience of me being arrested. As a community, you're free to choose what businesses you patronize for your services. I am a very level-headed business owner myself. But he sent a very important message that I was disposable and that he would take my "black dollar" for years and carry on with his day and it wasn't about the customer experience. I have referred several customers in the past to this establishment even some coming from Plano that had negative experiences upon their arrival and after nail services were rendered. I know they are not going to return and neither am I. I URGE you to take a stand and not pour your hard-earned money into businesses that don't care and dispect you. This the hand with the broken nail

This is my go to spot. But do not ever come here if your nail is broken. I came here last Thursday to get my nails done for my sister wedding; my nail broke on Sunday; i came up here Monday to get my nail fixed and this what they gave me. I ask the girl that's fixing my nail, can i get a tip put back on here? No I'm just trying to even it out here. No i came to get it fix. Not to even it out hell i coulda did that at home.

This is the WORST service I've ever experienced. The nail tech cut my ankle not once, but twice when using the scraper on my feet. I told him after the 1st time but he just was not being careful and rushing so it happened twice. My ankle was initially bleeding so much I had him drain the water and stop the rest of that portion of the service and just polish my toes. He kept wiping my ankle and applying this liquid until it eventually stopped(see photos). At the end he quoted me $25, the full price of the service which was completely unacceptable! I tried to explain to the manager why this was a problem and he offered $5 off and a bandaid. To me, this was insulting being that 1. I have paid hundreds of dollars at their establishment and never caused issues or complained. 2. I didn't receive full service because of the blood, pain, sanitary reasons, and fear of making it worse. I tried to reason and inform him that I thought half would be fair and stood firm on the $5. I then left and waited as he called the police on me. He sent an out of uniform officer to scare me and told me I was going to jail. (I was sitting in my car waiting on uniformed officers). When they came he said we would need to work this out, which was fine. He came outside and not only refused to allow me to speak and talked over me he took the price back up to $25 and had officers put me on some criminal trespassing list ALL BECAUSE THEY MESSED UP and weren't being reasonable. This manager was rude, unprofessional, and does not value customers. He believes he is better than us and had ZERO respect for us as paying customers. I am disgusted and everyone deserves to know about my experience.

not sure what happened to my prior review i posted, nonetheless, here goes one from today. RELAXING is one way to start describing this spot. my wife and I have definitely found our new to go shop for our pedicures. I didn't used to be to fond of getting my toe nails done, but I caved and now I can't wait to go again. All due in part to U-Need-Nails. I tell you, it is so darn relaxing and so worth the time. Wether with an appointment or walk in, the customer service which i read here was not to well, I ask myself, are you sure you are at the right place?? Because we love the way we are greeted, taken care of, and even at the end we are thanked for coming in. Awesome, Fantastic, Phenomenal! We will be back next month. P.S. Jenny is who takes care of me, she is the sweetest!!

The only reason I can give 1 star is because of Leanne, who does a great job on pedicures for me and my husband. However, the lady at the front desk (short with the white hair) who answers the phone and books appointments is totally rude and disrespectful. She has zero customer service skills and seems to get flustered when she has to answer "too many"phone calls. I called on 3/29/2023 about 11am to make an appointment for me and my husband to come at the same time. When I called back to make a change, she got totally upset & actually started hollering, saying I was "taking up too much of her time." I was shocked she was so impatient and unprofessional. I decided to go to the salon to express my disappointment at her behavior and to ensure she understood what appointment time I asked for. When I brought up the phone call & my appointment, she immediately started hollering again, saying she had "too many phone calls," and I was "taking up too much time." She jumped up and waved me away and said, "just don't come, go!" Now, I'm really appalled because I kept my tone low with a calm voice and stated I was a regular customer and was always respectful and polite to her. She continued screaming saying, "I don't care!" I spoke to Leanne and let her know what happened, but I won't continue giving my business to a place with employees that are rude and nasty. Obviously they do not need or want my business. She seemed to validate the stereotype of how a particular ethic group treats customers from another background. I can't otherwise explain why this lady was this ugly & demeaning. There are many other nail salons that do good work AND have good customer service. Bur come to U Need Nails in Cedar Hill, Texas if you don't care how you're treated. (Perhaps this lady must not want Leanne to have any more customers because she always asks if I want someone else to do my pedicure, whenever I call.)

My first time here, and Ms. Tu took very good care of me! Super nice, very clean, and also talented!! Definitely recommend, and definitely will come back

I'd been here once before but many years ago. A friend recommended I see Tu for my gel manicure and she was great. Super sweet & very detailed. She took her time unlike most nail techs I've seen recently. She asked me for my name at the end which most don't. The place was clean and you can tell they have regulars. When it opened at 9 there some customers already there but not packed until later. I'd recommend this place to anyone & especially Tu.

***FIRST TIME CUSTOMER REVIEW*** My daughter (8 years old) and I walked in the salon a couple of minutes before 5p on a Friday (weekend of July 4th). We were greeted and I asked if Linda was available. This is the salon my BFF goes to and always gets her nails services from Linda. The lady at the desk said she was booked but would double check with her to be sure--OKAY, OKAY good customer service move! Linda was indeed booked so the lady told me that Sonny was available and asked me to have a seat. I did inform her that my daughter would like to have her nails painted as well. We sat down and Sonny asked what type of nails I had and what service I would like. I opted for color acrylic powder and they didn't have the first color I picked so I had to pick again. Sonny started on my nails (acrylic fill). My daughter sat next to me waiting for someone to come over to paint her nails. I asked my tech if someone was coming to help her. He said that he would let the manager know to send someone. A few minutes later she walked by and noticed my daughter still hadn't been helped and shouted out for someone to come paint her nails. At this point, I was more than halfway through with getting my nails finished but another tech finally came over and painted her nails. My daughter's nails came out pretty good but the next day.....less than 24 hours after getting them painted, her paint chipped and the polish came completely off three of her nails. My nails came out very nice! I love the color (#24 color acrylic) and Sonny ensured that he got the shape just right and the way I wanted them. I will definitely return but I will not bring my daughter in for a polish. I will take her back so they can see that the polish came off in less than 24 hours. This place was packed on a Friday late afternoon early evening (4-6) and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND booking an appointment.

I had two nails that needed to be repaired and I always get acrylic (for length) and gel polish (for long lasting coverage). I read a few reviews and decided to give this business a try. Huge mistake! When I walked in there was only one customer. That should have been the first red flag. All employees were lounging on furniture and engrossed in their cell phones. No problem. There was a weak attempt at a greeting before she asked what I needed. I sit down where she tells me and immediately in my face noticed a plastic divider that between me and the nail tech which would remind you of what we used more during Covid. Not only did we have that going on but they put an 8x10 paper of their services smack dab in the middle so you could not see her or your nails being done. Never ever in my life have I been to any nail shop that does this. That should have made it clear that they are on some different customer experience tip. Second huge red flag. She starts on my nails and never measured the length of the two new tips against the other two on the other hand which means she would have uneven nail lengths from one hand to the other. Her touch was aggressive. I started to feel hate coming from the other side of the table. It was weird, insanely uncomfortable, and it made me feel unsafe to be so unwelcome for no reason. She would work on my hand then throw it back at me when ready for the next hand. She did ask me if my nails were ok from time to time and I would tell her what to fix and there would be attitude through her body language as though I inconvenienced her. I was asking about the middle finger nail on my right hand because the nail was longer than I should have it for work, but she never filed it down right and the shapes of my nails go from almond to oval to stiletto depending on which finger you look at. I had enough of her unwelcoming behavior and low quality nail job. I wanted to get out of there before I said something that would lower my behavior to her level. I did not care to match energy but get as far away from this business as possible. Not certain if she is part of America that gets caught up in court cases associated with boycotts, but that may have been the very reason this business had no customers. I would NEVER give this business a second chance and my co-workers noticed the defects in my nails especially where she did not paint the sides of the nails, the different shapes, and the awful length differences. Zero quality. Unfriendly and hostile service, it guess who was first to the register? That is the only $55 this business would ever receive from me. The lady didn't like me from the beginning and I had no bad interaction with her until I was able to have both of my hands available for the last inspection. I told her I would never come back, expect a real candid review, and that she needs to have someone else start reviewing her work for quality after filing and shaping and before any final costs are applied, and I would not and could not tip her. I have to go to another business and nail tech and spend double to have this nightmarish job overhauled. I am so disappointed that employees treat good consumers like this. Spread the word! Do not ever visit this establishment. If the employees or owners do not like the community they serve relocate to where you do care about the community. I asked a young girl skipping toward us if my nails were even and the lady spoke in her native tongue likely commanding her to ignore me or lie, so the girl said "Yes," but would not dare look at me. As I leave the girl (not the woman but the girl appears to be related to someone at the shop) hops into a big body Lexus and takes off. Lexus is known to be a good car. Imagine if they charged her full price for a lemon (the Lexus). They would understand where consumers are coming from more of it hit them in their pockets. Gel already chipping day one, uneven nail lengths, inconsistent shaped nails on the SAME hand, paint missing on the sides of nails, and I am FORCED to get this shotty, unprofessional-looking work corrected. She wanted my time and my money. I would never treat people like this especially if I still charge you full price. I should not have to tell you how to do a basic nail job. These look like a child helped her. Let's stop giving money to those that treat us like we are less!

Customer service was fantastic, my nails were done exactly as I asked, and I take picky to the extreme. If I'm not happy I'll bite every nail off and go get them done again the same day elsewhere. I can not stress how customer oriented LaBella's is and they truly did care if I was happy. The guy finally comes over and starts my pedicure. Another tech finished her client and was about to sit next to me to start my nails. Another customer walks in and the owner tells her to not do my nails and start on the lady that walks in. No, if I had to wait she needs to wait as well. You're gonna make me wait longer for my service because another customer walks in and you start straight on her service? What's wrong with her waiting 20 mins like I had to? I only come here because my husband likes to get his pedicures here. Plus while I was deciding on what I wanted in the beginning she kept trying to upcharge extras when the prices of everything on their menu had already gone up!

Upon reading my original review, she reached out immediately (I didn't even make it to the soak off appointment I had made for the same day) offering a partial refund and to redo my mani/pedi. I went in the next day to get my nails redone and I cannot emphasize how great my experience was. Masiel is an absolutely incredible nail tech, taking her time and paying extreme attention to detail. My baby toenail is almost nonexistent and she not only painted it, but French tipped it!!!! My original pedicure wasn't even French tipped, she just offered to do it since I mentioned I'd never had them before! I was astounded. On top of being skilled and knowledgeable, she is funny and friendly. The tech who did my services originally, apologized, and mentioned that she's working with Veronica to make sure whatever happened before, doesn't happen again. I was so touched by how everyone cares so much about their customers and the work they do. My previous review stated I wouldn't give this business any more money, a statement which I now HEAVILY retract. I would 100% return here because if something were to go wrong, I know they would bend over backwards to fix the problem and make sure I'm satisfied as a customer. In the few times I've been in, there have been multiple regulars around me who all seem right at home in the salon, on first name basis with the other techs and employees. If I lived in Dallas, I would definitely make this my regular salon too.
