I have returned to update my review to FIVE STARS. The owner, Veronica, is absolutely amazing - her employees are so lucky to have a leader like her. Upon reading my original review, she reached out immediately (I didn't even make it to the soak off appointment I had made for the same day) offering a partial refund and to redo my mani/pedi. I went in the next day to get my nails redone and I cannot emphasize how great my experience was. Masiel is an absolutely incredible nail tech, taking her time and paying extreme attention to detail. My baby toenail is almost nonexistent and she not only painted it, but French tipped it!!!! My original pedicure wasn't even French tipped, she just offered to do it since I mentioned I'd never had them before! I was astounded. On top of being skilled and knowledgeable, she is funny and friendly. The tech who did my services originally, apologized, and mentioned that she's working with Veronica to make sure whatever happened before, doesn't happen again. I was so touched by how everyone cares so much about their customers and the work they do. My previous review stated I wouldn't give this business any more money, a statement which I now HEAVILY retract. I would 100% return here because if something were to go wrong, I know they would bend over backwards to fix the problem and make sure I'm satisfied as a customer. In the few times I've been in, there have been multiple regulars around me who all seem right at home in the salon, on first name basis with the other techs and employees. I've been going to Mari for a few months now and I love everything she's done! I even brought in a kind of random inspo photo and Mari exactly matched the idea from the photo. She does solid, patient work and is super friendly, all the folks that work here are. Mari is patient with my bad Spanish too :) I usually don't have trouble finding parking within a block and if you come at 4PM you don't have to feed the meter (or pay 85 cents on the app to park for up to 2 hours). I love the ladies at NailedUp! They have become my go-to place! I had my first appointment just before they left their old spot and moved to Jefferson. Their vibe is immaculate and they are all so talented. I started doing polygel overlays and then one of the techs recommended the structured gel and it's now my fave. I've found my go-to nail salon right in the heart of OakCliff! I was hunting for a place specializing in Polygel and top-tier design art. Booking was easy as they used the Vagaro app. I selected my services, and shortly after, I received a text confirmation that I could send some photos of the nail art I wanted along with the deposit to secure my appointment. My nail tech was Mari, and she was phenomenal! I requested hand-drawn Christmas Disney nails for my trip to Disneyworld, and let's just say she NAILED IT!! I was also impressed by the removal technique, which is extremely important because you don't want someone to over-drill to the point where the nail is too sensitive and thin. She also did my pedicure and was very gentle. The following services I received for a total of $220 were: -Polygel removal (someone's previous work) -New Polygel set w/ almond shape -Nail art on ten fingers -Gel removal on toes - CBD pedicure The price is definitely comparable to good quality nail salons, and my experience was well worth it! I have been coming here for about 2.5 years and it is, without doubt, the best nail salon I have ever patronized. Yes, it is one of the more expensive nail salons, especial here in Oak Cliff; but, I get tremendous value for the money I spend here. The level of care and the attention to detail is clear of the other nail salons. The supplies and ingredients are top-shelf. The nail techs themselves are superb! I have used several of the nail techs for both manicures and pedicures and the finished product has ALWAYS been superior. You know when you're not in the wrong for a service, but someone tries to reason or make an excuse and try to put the blame on you? That's exactly what Vero did. On March 25 I had an appointment for a polygel removal and a polygel service at 1:30pm. I had an appointment at 3pm with a client. Because I've had this service before, I knew it should only take at least a hour and a half. When I arrive the young lady starts to soak my nails. The gel is not coming off. She tries to file it down and then soak it off again. The gel is still not budging. It's now been over 50 min that my nails have been soaking. So she asks Vero what can she do and Vero tells her to continue to have me soak. I mention unfortunately I have another appointment at 3pm. Vero then decides to take over because she says she can do my nails quicker. She then begins to file the gel off. She asks me who did my nail previously before and I mention to her that Alexis did. She tells me that Alexis put the polygel on too thick that's why it's not coming off within 45 min. So I ask her that since I have already prepaid for a soak off will I be receiving a refund? She says no because I did receive a soak. I tell her no, because now you yourself isn't even able to soak them off, it has to be filed down due to the polygel being put on thicker from my previous appointment. So she agreed to give me a 10% discount (which was still funny business). Once Vero finished my nails I left right at 3:30pm which led me to be even later to my appointment. Even after the fact of me pushing it out 30 min later from 3pm. Now, I tried booking for a fill thinking the discount will be added. However, she's stating that because she filed them by hand which took a lot of work and that ended up making another client wait that I have I'm responsible for paying full price. Vero, don't go back on your word. All you ladies do an awesome job, but for me to have to pay for something that I could not control and did not do is crazy. I didn't put the polygel on too thick to where it had to be filed down. I prepaid for a service I did not receive. Stick to your word & have better customer service. read more

I recently went to the salon and I booked for a full set with Omayra I wasn't sure what to book for a French tip so I added that in the notes. They got back to me with an invoice and then told me they were going to add the nail art because a French tip falls under that. I said I understand that's okay and I just didn't know what to book it under. I confirmed the appointment time because that was a little confusing since they didn't tell me there could be a time change they just did it. Omayra is very talented but I felt it was a bit overly aggressive with my nails (I left with 3 cuts on my fingers) and shady that later on she posts a little rant on her instagram... I thanked her during and after the service and I didn't even get an attitude when the set she did was the wrong type and was a bit more expensive. I just think the service process could've been a bit smoother and with less of an ego this coming from someone in the beauty industry as well. read more

First time here and nice ladies, but the paint job was not very pretty. I didn't notice until i had already left location. I paid a good amount for a mani and pedi and would like the polish paint job to reflect that. Was super impressed by how clean everything was and how they autoclave all of their tools. Also very impressed by the ventilation, no headache inducing acetone or acrylic smell. When I first came here my nails were destroyed by acrylics and improper nail care from other salons. I went to this salon for the first time today. Upon arriving, I was greeted and told to have a seat. I was offered a drink and given the color palette. It was 45 minutes before she called me to begin my pedicure and asked me if I still wanted the manicure since they were running late. After I left, I looked at the price that was quoted on the appointment booking site and noticed that I was overcharged. When I contacted them to give them feedback, I was told that I had been given a 10% discount for having to wait, and they would give me another 10% off the next time. They also apologized for being late, and said it was because of the parade. The pricing discrepancy, was due to an issue with the booking site. I guess they felt that was sufficient, because they did not offer to refund the difference. I understand things happen, but for me 45 minutes is too long to wait without explanation. They could have contacted me to tell me what was going on, so I could decide how I wanted to proceed. Any who...this was not a pleasant experience for me, and I don't plan to return. read more
