This is by far the worst nail salon experience I've ever had, and I want to warn others before they waste their time or money. They clearly do not know how to do basic dip nails. The technician removed my previous dip by aggressively filing down my actual nails, leaving them extremely thin and damaged. To the point, I said my nail is getting too thin. When she applied the new dip, it was messy and got all over my skin. I finally told her I just wanted it removed and to leave. While the lady herself was nice, the service was absolutely horrible. This was unacceptable, and I would never recommend this salon to anyone. I am honestly in complete shock. Photos below of how I left and was charged. Absolutely horrible read more

the WORST manicure and pedicure i have EVER gotten. not one of my nails is the same color, shape, etc as the other and it was horrible. nail tech cut me multiple times and continued to pour alcohol on my bleeding finger and telling me "it's okay". the colors on the swatches did not match ANY of the actual colors they had. DO NOT GO HERE. there is polish allll over my skin. my nails are crooked and all different thicknesses. a preschooler could have done better than this. i will be returning and demanding my money back. $100 for this HORRIBLE excuse for a manicure - no cuticle cutting, no massage, no lotion, no clean up, nothing. for the pedicure, it was less than a 2 minute "massage". read more

A very nice lady named Yen did my french tips. I also had my toes done in "scarlet red." The massage did wonders for my back as my feet soaked. All work was very delicate. My fingers and toes are very sensitive, and I haven't had them worked on professionally in years. I barely felt anything, except the amazing massage chair. I was also treated to a mini massage as my tips dried. The salon was clean, neat, and did NOT smell like chemicals. Everyone was friendly! I will be back! read more

California Pro Nails - Beautiful job on my French tips! - Nail Salons Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Without an appointment, I walked in and requested a manicure. The person available was a man: I was dissatisfied with his technique as well as the results of his trimming. I very much liked the warm wax and massage of my hands, though the wax became embedded in my ring. He then massaged my back, and abruptly pulled back each shoulder. It was painful, and I imagined I would suffer later. True: the middle of my back and shoulder unremittingly aches. His very lovely wife, who seems to be the owner, was kind and attentive. She recognized my displeasure, and completed the painting. I was charged $25...and I tipped because I liked her. I will not return. I chalked it up to experience, and can only hope that the pain remits soon. read more

very friendly and great customer service. my pedicure was very tentative. I plan on coming here everytime I'm in Dallas

Ok, this place is actually so nice. I came across this salon through word of mouth, so I set up an appointment and they managed to squeeze me in on a busy Friday. I rarely self-pamper, but when I do, I like to get a good old-fashioned mani-pedi. Prices were incredibly reasonable too! I came in at my appointment time and not even before I could sit down and open up my phone, they said they were ready for me. The lady I worked with (Yen) was so nice and friendly; not only was she very careful and thorough with her work, but she always made sure I was comfortable and asked if I needed anything. I was a new face at this salon, so already being treated like a valuable client is a huge plus in my books. I will be back. FYI - they take card now! read more

So what do I know about a nail salon? NOTHING!!! But this place is by my house, so we decided to take a family excurseion: Two pedicures and 1 adult manicure and 1 child manicure. You walk in and the smell of chemicals almost knocks you over, but these gals have been here for a while and they look okay, right? Seriously, I've never been to Vietnam, but it must be like this place. The lady who treated my feet worked like a dog, scrubbing, cutting, buffing, rubbing. VERY NICE! Price? $25 for the foot treatments and $15 for the nails. No charge for the 4-year-old hahha! I'll go back in a couple of years when my nails get long enough again . . .geesh! Hey don't forget: CASH ONLY! read more

This is my first time here. After 3 months of not getting a pedicure, I just wanted to relax after just working 10 days straight. They rushed me, didnt seem to care. I stopped them and just get me out of here. I got burned by the wax, didn't seem to care. Horrible service!! Will never be back! read more

Thorough, detailed service minus the frills and Dallas pretense. I always leave happy with my nails and gladly exchange efficiency for paraffin and mud masks. Massage is always longer than expected and relaxing. Staff is great and always ready to go above and beyond- Great choice if you want a fantastic mani/pedi minus the chandelier, faux finishes, and upsells found elsewhere in the neighborhood. read more

I love this place! Family owned and run. So accommodating and they were able to repair what another place closeby messed up. Will always go here! read more

Best mani/pedi massage in Dallas! I'm from Dallas but reside in Los Angeles. Kind of funny that it's called California Pro Nails when I mention that, huh? I love returning home to visit my family for many reasons one of which is because my sweet Mom always brings me here for a Mom-daughter mani/pedi. It's a very simple, no-frills shop but the massage is AMAZING!!! I mean AHHHHHHMAZING! Thu gave me the most amazing foot massage - like 30 minutes long. Jim gave me an amazing back and shoulder massage. Can't wait for my next trip home to Dallas - and to California Pro Nails! read more

Totally rushed through my service. Low attention to detail and poor quality. Nails messed up shortly after I left. They just want to get you in and out. Poor customer service. read more

They are fabulous at California Pro Nails. Family owned for 22 years, and they treat you like family! Great services, great people and great value. My nails look amazing after a gel manicure and pedicure. Not to mention the massages on my neck, arms and legs were fantastic. Highly recommend! read more

We absolutely love it here! Service is exceptional. We have four generations that go here regularly from my senior grandmother to my four year old and they treat all of us like royalty and know our names and preferences. Skip the over the top stuff elsewhere and enjoy personal service and community here. Color lasts forever! read more

I loved this place. I came on my lunch break and asked them to do my nails in 45 minutes so that I can get back to work on time. They were extremely respectful of that AND remembered my time crunch. They rubbed my back after my nails were completed. Such of a relaxing and blissful experience. Also owned by a family of AGGIES! What is not to love read more

Best place ever! Ask for Yen. She is incredible, does an amazing job, and is the SWEETEST.

This place is and has always been my favorite. I drive from the midcities area just to come here. They do the best pedicures and a give great massages. The owners are so sweet and personable. read more

I got a normal pedicure and acrylic gel manicure and I went with good expectations but my toes looked below average but my finger nails looked HORRIBLE! I felt bad because everyone there was very nice and clearly enjoyed doing nails but their lack of experience was extremely evident. My finger nails weren't evenly painted and parts of my nail weren't even covered! My toes just look like I did them and I have no talent to do nails! I went to another salon to get them fixed and it took them 2 hours to fix them. They had to fill the acrylic after one day because they didn't get it close enough to the cuticle. Nice people but skills and talent need A LOT of work!! read more

Great prices & my manicure came with a shoulder massage, bonus! I've already been there twice, & I recommend them.

They admitted us immediately and there was no waiting time. Very courteous and nice. This pedicure was impeccable and it lasted for a very long time. Definitely my go to nail places in Dallas. read more

Yen and Jim were so amazing! I got the history of California Nails and it has been around for 17 years! You know you are doing something right if you have had your establishment for that long! I did not have an appointment but will for sure be making one going forward! Thank you for accommodating me and making me feel warm and welcome! read more

The best nail salon in town! This is my go to spot. They have excellent service and great quality. The shellac they use is the best from my experience. It lasts an extremely long time and never chips. It's also easy to take off unlike other shellac polishes. The owners are so nice and always take the time to speak to me and have a conversation. Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

Absolutely Horrible!! Worst pedicure I have ever gotten. The place is no frills and basic but no excuse. First of all they were short staffed. So the lady was working on me and two other people at same time. She kept on stopping and making me wait while she worked on somebody else. They obviously were rushing me out of there as fast as they could. She took absolutely no time to work on my nails. First she cut my nails way too short then she didn't file them evenly. She worked on my cuticles for literally one minute and buffed my nails for a few seconds. Half of the time they spent was just the other guy massaging my feet. Basically I left there with toe nails that looked worse than when I came in. I would never ever go back there again. Stay away from this place!!! Oh I thought I would add on an update a few days later. Got an infection in one of my toes. probably because they aren't properly sanitizing their tools and not washing there hands between working on other clients. read more

This place is great! I came in for a pedicure and manicure. I got a super terrific food massage with my pedicure and a great hand / back massage with my manicure. Thank you for the great service. I will be back. read more

Worst salon experience I've ever had! I had to get up and leave after the girl had cut both of my feet's nails so short that I was bleeding and in pain. I have never gotten up and walked away during a pedicure because the service was so bad. read more

My friend and I went to get manicures. We tried the dip nails and had two completely different results. Her nails were rough and didn't ever shine up. We kept telling them it was wrong and they kept trying to fix it but it never was right. It just seemed like the woman wasn't trained or knowledgeable in how to do the process. read more

When I was in town, I was looking for a nail salon so I pulled out Yelp to find the closest one and thank god I stumbled upon this one! The place was clean and friendly--the techs there make you feel extremely welcome. Ask for Yen! Not only did she do my nails wonderfully, but she was super nice and personable. I live in Plano, so I'm not usually around this part of Dallas. But if I ever pass by, I'm definitely making a stop here! read more

I've been to this place twice. First time I got a basic mani/pedi, which they did a great job. The second time I got a French mani/pedi. I was very disappointed with the quality. I felt like the lady rushed through it; the white parts were all different sizes, and the nails were shaped unevenly. Not sure if I will ever go back there, at least not for French mani/pedi... read more

Came a while back to get nails done. Lady doing my manicure was extremely rushed to get to the next customer (only 1 waiting customer). She did my entire manicure in less than 15 minutes and it was so bad, I went home and removed all the polish. I don't plan on coming back. read more

I went here for the first time with my daughter, mother, and sister. This is actually a nice little quaint shop. The ladies are very friendly and very accommodating. My spa pedicure and my daughters were only $55 WITH a design. That's not bad.....I will definitely go back. read more

Best nail salon in Dallas in my opinion! Prices are more than fair, the quality is amazing, and everyone is really friendly

I've been going here for six years. The service is the best. Yes, all the staff works hard when they do your feet. It takes at least half an hour for them to clean, scrub, massage and put polish on your toenails. All things considered the price is fair and moderate and I was happy to leave a big tip for those hard working (mostly female) staff. I liked the fingernail work also, but don't get it done as often. read more

This is the worst nail salon. I will never go back and have told my friends to not go there. I went in February of this year. It's a no frills place - they wipe off your hands with a rough paper towel. I asked for a simple design with my pedicure. It looked like it was done by a child. I asked for a French manicure with red nails and black tips. They told me no problem for the design or the manicure. I even asked a second time, are you sure? No problem, no problem. I had to show the lady that my nails weren't even and she needed to work on the filing. I had red polish all over my cuticles. Seriously, it looked like my young niece had painted my nails. The black tips looked good but there was red everywhere on my fingers. Another lady (I'm guessing the owner or mgr) came over and asked if I liked it. I told her no, there was red polish everywhere, all over my cuticles. I asked her if it looked good to her? She told me she would fix it. I should have just left and gone somewhere else. I thought it can't be any worse and I needed my nails done and didn't have time to go somewhere else. IT GOT WORSE! She took off all the polish and with red of course your could still see it in the cuticles. She put the coats on so fast it just globbed up on my nails. Apparently, she didn't know how to do French tips so she drew a thin line. The tips weren't the problem before, it was the polish all over my cuticles. This time the polish was okay but the tips were awful. I just left. My nails were a joke. My friends and I just laughed at how awful my nails looked. One of them asked if I had done the design on my toes myself upside down? All we could do was laugh. I can't believe I didn't take a picture. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else! I don't have one good thing to say about this place. I wish you could give 0 stars. read more
