Jessica gave me the best pedicure i've ever had in my life. not only because of how she truly took her time to scrub and rub, but she was very detailed in making sure all the bad stuff was off of my foot, too, which is a rarity nowadays. she was patient and just gentle enough. i can't believe other people have touched my feet now that i've come to her. the special treat, though, was my manicure from Katherine. she was SO KIND and friendly, so gentle and caring throughout my entire manicure. she is an artist in her craft, no cuts, symmetrical work, a joy to be around. if you're looking for a new place (even if you aren't looking), please come here! i know im never leaving! read more

I had a basic manicure at this place a few days ago. I didn't have an appointment, but I always go here for my pedicures because they do a great job. However, when I went in to get this manicure (just regular, no gel, clear nail polish), I was horrified that the lady doing my manicure kept stabbing me in the quick of my nails while trimming and cleaning! And I would tell her it hurt, she'd say sorry, but then it would happen again. And again. Then came time for the paraffin wax (which I added on because I thought it would be nice to have). She put the paraffin wax bag on the first arm, and tied it around my arm, and I gently laid my arm down on the table, and the wax came out and spilled all over my shirt! And the shirt I was wearing was one of my nice shirt I wear to work. She apologized and came over and wiped it off with a wet cloth, but I was afraid it would stain. After she was done with the entire manicure, I thought maybe they would discount it because she had stabbed me so many times and had heard me complain, and also my shirt obviously still had wax on it and had dried so now it was actually a visible stain. But no discount was given. After I left, I was so disappointed after I looked at my nails because she didn't even trim my cuticles very well and I still had a hang nail that she didn't even cut. I'm so disappointed. I know I'll never go to this place for a Mani again. Favorite shirt ruined and it looks like I didn't even get anything done on my nails. read more

The last time I went to this salon to see Ryan for my nails I had him remove the tips and acrylic. He acted like he was irritated and when he went to do my thumb nail on my right hand he twisted my thumb so hard I think he might have broken it. I would would not recommend using this salon unless you want to have acrylic nails and tip him $20.00. I think he has some mental issues. I guess he forgot about all the money I spent with him over the last year or so. read more

I went here last week for a Dip manicure and pedicure. Jessica who did my pedicure did a great job. She went above and beyond. I think the young man's name is Jimmy. I feel like he totally rushed! He only did two coats and today after only 5 days two of my nails are already chipping! He also didn't apply any lotion to my hands or arms like they normally do. He seemed like he just wanted to get it done and move on. It cost $120 and that's way to much for that kind of service. There are many options. Stopped in while visiting Dallas. The Yelp stars made me nervous at first but I was really happy with my experience and I'm typically picky with my nails. This salon is near my house and I have been before awhile back, so my daughter and I decided to give it a try again when she was visiting from college. We had dropped by the day before to schedule an appointment and our chairs were set up and we were seated immediately upon arriving. I was disappointed to remember that they don't have spa chairs. (The chair cannot even be reclined.) Unlike other reviews mention, we were not offered anything to drink, not even water. Keeping in mind that a pedicure is $55 here, it seems a little lacking in customer pampering. There is no t.v. or really anything to entertain you while you receive your service. They do have a decent music soundtrack playing in the background though. The salon is small and was pretty busy. But even so, it was sort of mellow and quiet while we were there. I guess I'm used to a different experience though, which was nice. I think for the price you could get a more enjoyable experience at another salon. They do good work and it seems like a clean environment. Everyone wears masks and gloves and they took our temperature before we were seated and asked us to wash our hands. So did appreciate that aspect. read more

Reliably excellent quality work. That's what keeps me coming back. Sure, I can go to any number of nail salons in the Dallas area, but it really sucks to pay $100 for nail color that chips or peels in the week after getting it done. I've been to Posh a couple of times now and have always found their work to be pretty good. I also like that I can call ahead and get someone who actually knows what I'm asking for, and I've never had a problem with appointments not being met. They seem to have a sophisticated work management system. Also, parking is a breeze. But there's a lot I don't like about coming here. It's pretty tiny, and they are using every last square inch. The first time you arrive it's almost claustrophobic. They have a bench jammed next to the window for waiting clients, but every time I've had to wait, the bench has been full and I end up crammed in a corner. Next, I don't like that their paint colors are on deep shelf rather than many short shelves so you can see all the colors at once. The thing I like the least about coming here is the hit-and-miss service. One time I came and I felt my technicians were really friendly, the other time they barely made eye contact. Another time (around Christmas) it seemed were giving all clients a bottle of lotion but I didn't receive one. On a different occasion, a Friday night, they offered wine and I probably had 2 total glasses of wine total while I relaxed: best Friday ever. This last time I wasn't even offered a drink. I'd just like to be able to count of the type of experience I will have. They recently did a mini renovation and got rid of the big massage chairs + tubs most nail salons have. Although this look is much more chic, it is not as comfortable for the consumer. Also, there is no way to adjust the chair from someone who is 5'2" to someone who is 6'2" which makes it tough for the technician and uncomfortable for the client. Even though the location is convenient to me, the work quality is good, and I've had a couple of good experiences, the next time I need my nails done I'll be looking for another spot. read more

To note, if you are thinking you want to get a pedi in a spa chair, it's not going to happen here. You sit in just a normal chair and relax back with a small lap pillow. Pedicures start at $53.00 and up, nails start at $60.00 and up depending on what you are getting. Make sure to have a nice glass of wine or champagne while you sit back. If you need a wax, you can get that service at Posh. I got my eyebrows waxed and the lady followed my instructions to the T!!!! Salon is quite, not a lot of noise. And be prepared to spend $$$$. I've been coming to Posh off and on for about 5 years. I live nearby, and it's convenient. However after today's service, I will not be going back. The woman who did my pedicure was rough on my cuticles and feet, making the experience painful. To top it off, she was overzealous with the callous tool and made my foot bleed. I have a very painful big toe and won't be able to wear closed-toe shoes for the next few days. I also had a manicure (non gel) and I sat with my hands under a dryer for at least 30 mins while the pedicure finished. It never dried. Likewise my toes were sticky to the touch for several hours after. Whatever top coat they use is terrible. I'm redoing my nails tonight because they are full of smudges that occurred over an hour after my manicure-pedicure was over. Needless to say, not going back. read more

I loved the decor and chandeliers in this place! They have a white black and marble colored aesthetic and overall it looks like a very fancy nail spa! The chairs you sit in for pedicures and manicures are large black leather style loungers which is great (but I certainly could use a massage chair). As you walk in you're able to select the colors for your nail polish from two large wall selections. I was able to walk in without an appointment and have very little wait time! HOWEVER I ultimately want to be satisfied with the end product of my nails and my nails are HORRID. They simply cannot do nails. What should have been a ONE HOUR dip manicure took over two hours ... I ask for a simply DIP Manicure / WHITE COLOR! She messed up more than a few times trying to fix her mistakes Finally, what I assumed was a manager finished her session. I walked out of there with one white hand and the other with a pink hue .....the top CLEAR coat had a red color which made my white color turn pink .... she had the nerve to try and argue with me and protest that it wasn't pink!!!!! i had Powder dip stuck all on the side of my fingers--- taking my skin with it when I peel it off ... The layers are so thick you'd think I asked for a BUBBLE manicure .... They didn't even offer a discount for my obvious frustration .... Stay away!!!!!! read more

Decided to walk in here with my mom and was initially surprised that no one came to say hello. With nail technicians, the quality was inconsistent between my mom and myself. One didn't speak English so it was hard to communicate with her. Their prices are medium to high end. Our pedicurists were both very good. Eric and Steven were so sweet they offered us drinks. We didn't know that you could get wine but maybe next time! The guys were very kind and took the time to massage and cut the nails. We got classic Mani pedi and it was $48 with 10% discount if you pay cash. Pros/cons: a lot of good options for pedicures with different 'cocktail themes'. The décor seems posh hence the name, but I would have preferred massage chairs. The services are also very dependent on who does them-so if you do come here read reviews and try to get an appointment for that person. We just walked in and didn't call ahead. Parking is ample and super convenient right off 75 walking distance from anything in uptown. If you're in a pinch this place is good, but unlikely to become a regular here. read more

I wanted to be able to boast about great things here but unfortunately that's not the case. The actual location has fab decor and a cool concept with seating especially the pedicure area. They're individual upholstered chairs (not massage chairs) with very stylish bowls to put your feet in but I'm not sure how hygienic it is and also, it's not a jet bowl so no fun in the water as your feet soak. Ugh. Aside from that, it was my 1st and last time checking out Posh. The gentleman that handled my pedicure, I believe was doing the best that he could but he was very distracted. He kept running to his previous client and apologizing to me that he'd be right back. He seemed stressed. At any rate, I do believe this affected my actual experience as well. The paint job was not so great. I could see streak marks as soon as he finished and when I got home, the uneven paint job was even more visible the more I inspected it. You know how they give you those toe dividers usually? Nope! I got folded napkin between my toes. Not for nothing but with Posh being in Uptown, I had high hopes. This was not what I was expecting. I've never actually "stalked" a business before...but clearly there's a first for everything. I live across the street from the Bibbentuckers, Papa Johns, Blockbuster shopping center at Lemmon & McKinney, and when I saw the rarely visited "art" store go out of business and the promise of a Nail Spa to come, I went in to full on stalker mode. Pedicures I can walk to? Sign me up. I stalked...I mean watched from my window patiently like a kid waiting for Christmas. (See Figure A) I thought the day would never come. And then it happened. A "20% off ALL SERVICES" sign was affixed and I knew it was time. My moment had come. First let me say that this place has NONE of the tacky nail place decor that we've all come to know and accept. You know what I mean? We don't particularly enjoy the Buddha statues, the bamboo, and the fake water features, the turquoise and lilac paint choices, and any other of the "decor by Sam Moon" elements, but when you get your nails done at any other place besides The Crescent Spa and the like, this is what you must accept. NOT at Posh. Totally, totally, totally classy. Huge chandeliers, clean white lacquer surfaces, lots of really cool neon lights hidden underneath tables, a tall nail-drying station "bar" with really chic bar stools. I was impressed. Not to mention, I like a deal. 20% off? Don't mind if I do. So I splurged and went with the "Posh Signature Pedicure," originally $50 + the classic manicure for $18, and man, am I glad that I did. The pedicure was never-ending. Seriously, I was there for over an hour. THIS I love. I recently had an experience at the Nail Spa that I've been frequenting for 3+ years that left a bad taste in my mouth. It was a Saturday, all 18 chairs were full, and after my long wait, my pedicure lasted all of 20 minutes. I was fuming. So, the fact that I wasn't rushed and was encouraged to relax in the glorious over sized leather spa chair at Posh was warmly welcomed. The long and short of it: lots of good cuticle interaction, filing, shaping, and the like. Then a lovely exfoliation, with the scent of your choice I might add. A mask, some hot towels, LOTS of callous removal (heart!!!), a paraffin treatment (no, i know. Amazeballs!!!), a gloriously long massage, and then came the hot stones. Yeah, hot stones. Totally worth the $40 bones. The classic manicure was classic. I wasn't really looking for any bells and whistles, just wanted my nails shaped and polished nicely. So when I saw her grab a hair clip, affix my hair on top of my hair and then begin MASSAGING my neck and upper back I couldn't believe it. I had one girl kneading the life out of my calves, and the other going at my neck....all at the same time! Holy over stimulus! I of course got the arm and hand massage that are standard with a manicure, but the inclusion of a hair clip (classy!) and a neck & back massage were my own personal Nirvana. Let me also say, that my gals were super nice. Of course I had not a clue what they were saying the majority of the time, but it's par for the course. I was treated like gold and I loved that each of them said "see you next time." Great customer service. My nails look fab. I feel great. They promise "Be Hip. Be Chic. Be Posh." I read a bunch of reviews for uptown nail salons on Yelp before I decided on this place. After two nights of dancing in heels I needed a pedicure not so much for the nail treatment but the massage and relaxation, so I got the signature pedicure- despite balking at the $50 price tag. I arrived before noon on a Sunday and was immediately dissapointed by the atmosphere. The TVs were off, it was quiet, and no one spoke English that I could decipher. No one offered me a drink and the remote I was given for my massage chair didn't move/recline the chair at all. Worse yet, the massage options were only lower back or neck, with no massage action in between those areas. I'm short (5'3"), so the neck part actually aligned with the back of my skull, which does not feel good on a massage chair. I always relish the shoulder massage part of massage chairs but this one comes no where near that area. Also, my chair felt way too close to the foot rest so when I put my short legs in the water pool my feet uncomfortably hit the front wall of the water basin. I couldn't angle my chair back, so this was not the relaxation I had needed, especially not for $50. Eventually I was uncomfortable enough that I mentioned to the salon girl that I wished the seat moved, at which point she reached behind my chair and grabbed another remote that moved the chair forward and back and the chair back to recline and upright positions. Eventually they asked if I wanted wine and then they turned on the music and TVs. Unfortunately they left the TVs on NASCAR, followed by an infomercial. I was pretty sure none of the other customers wanted to watch this so I asked them to change it to Food Network and they did. Aside from the atmosphere, my pedicurist did a good job, but so do most, in my experience. The lack of options in the massage chair is so bad they might as well not have a massage chair, as far as I'm concerned. I definitely won't be going back here. read more

Heard so much about OPI axxium and despite mixed reviews of this place + that it was 20 mi from my hotel, tried it anyway b/c I figured if any city knows nails, it's gotta be the big D! Made an appt (which I'd recommend b/c they were oddly busy for a weekday midday, but then again it is Dallas) & got started right on time. If you don't understand English w/ a very heavy Vietnamese accent, just listen to your iPod, relax & trust the manicurist. I expect perfection in results but one of nail fell short on that so -1 star for getting 9/10 fingers right. 2 weeks later (check out the pic!), it's still looking great. You'll tire of the color &/or want to get repolished due to grow-out well before the gel comes off, so though $45 + tip for a mani is steep, it's totally worth it for fuss-free results. TIP!!! Don't do what I did & forget to ask how to REMOVE the stuff. (hint: regular remover doesn't work.) I ended up peeling the gel off (sorry if that's gross) one bored evening. Lakewood location: The mani-pedi was great. Them stealing my iPad and denying having seen it was not great. I have photo proof that I had it with me. They took it out of my hands and placed it on a shelf behind me. I accidentally walked out without it, and called to get it back. It just so happened to "disappear". The guy answering the phones was extremely dodgy and wouldn't answer questions. They had promised to review the security tapes and let me know what happened to it. The guy answering phones (I think his name was something like Seu), said they didn't find anything on the tapes. I called the owner, and he hadn't even reviewed the tapes yet. Sketchy. I've been trying now for two weeks, and he never called me back to let me know what he found. All my calls go straight to voicemail. Do not go to this salon. Or if you do, don't bring anything valuable with you. Definitely not electronics or jewelry. They will steal it, deny ever seeing it, and the Dallas Police will tell you they can't help you. So it turned out to be the most expensive pedicure ever - $1150 with the loss of my iPad. Note: I tried the Find My iPad app, but they had already disabled it. I hadn't updated the software in a few weeks, and so it didn't add the "request password" feature to the Find My iPad app in order to disable it. Lesson learned: always keep software up to date and always require a password every time you unlock the screen. read more

It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review because I know it can seriously impact business but I just had to share my experience. The service itself was great. I enjoyed the shoulder massage a lot and was pretty pleased when I left although $45 for just a gel mani is pretty steep. I thought I would be a repeat customer and I really wanted to be since it is a block from my apartment but my nails faded color after ONLY TWO DAYS. See the picture attached for yourself, my nail went from a dusty pink to a weird yellowish color. I got them done on a Sunday afternoon and by Tuesday morning they looked like the picture attached. I know stuff happens, I myself work in customer service, so I went to the salon to give them a chance to make it right. Unfortunately I have a busy schedule this week in particular (part of the reason why I chose gel polish...) so I asked for the color to be taken off and for a credit towards my next manicure since I did not have time to have them completely redone. After the woman at the front desk conversed about my request in another language with another employee at the salon, I was told that they can redo the mani in the same color for free or if I wanted a different color I could get that done for 1/2 the price (which doesn't make sense to me...). I explained that I don't have time today or in the foreseeable future to take another hour of my time to have this fixed and asked again just for some sort of refund or credit for next time and I was told that's not possible. So now I have spent $45 plus tip for a mani that lasted 2 days which I am now removing myself at home. Not pleased. Why is a good nail salon so hard to come by?! read more
